When Everleigh gets a text saying her room was already rented out. When she over hears a couple guys talking, at a local coffee shop, stating they need a new roomie, she jumps for the chance. She corners them and states she will cook for them 3 times a week as well as rent. These 3 guys end up being part do the college football team and all they really think about other than the game is eating, so they agree.

Everleigh is trying to find herself and be successful. Nico is one of her roommates and he’s a total player but that changes once he gets to know Everleigh. She really brings the best out of the guys.

I loved the central coast details in this story. Felt like I could really imagine this storyline due to it. I also love the yoga sessions.

Tropes:
Roommates
Reformed Playboy
College Romance
Forced Proximity
College Football
Slow burn

For @valentine_pr_ I got to arc-read 'End Game', the new book by @monicamurphyauthor 🤗 Because of the agency's language is english, the review will be too 🇬🇧

Nico and Everleigh are just too cute and adorable together. Nico is so protective of Everleigh, but he can also be a huge dick. You will love Everleigh too. She is so delightfully herself. Where I got a bit annoyed was that her insecurities came out too much and too often at times, whereas throughout the story she is such a fun, easy going and spontaneous girl.

Everleigh and Nico keep coming together like two magnets, but also keep pushing each other away. The tension between them is also palpable. Even if it is sometimes a bit mild, there is no shortage of spice either. Starting with the restroom scene and everything that follows. (ahem, that bedroom scene!)

Something I really liked about this book was the bond between Everleigh and the boys, and between the boys and each other. The fact that they dare to put each other in their place says a lot about the friendship. There were a lot of fun scenes in this book involving all the characters. I love that everyone on the team was enthusiastic about Everleigh's yoga sessions and so incredibly supportive of her in everything she did.

I also love the friendship between Everleigh and Sienna. They are good friends from the start and Sienna brings Everleigh out of her shell in a positive way. They are pretty much the opposite of each other, and yet they are close friends. And Sienna's outburst at the table towards the boys; amen to that and amen for her.

The author of this book has a fine writing style. The chapters are generally short, which I personally like very much, because it makes the reading flow. Although it is a very nice story to read, I was expecting a bit more from the plot and the way to it regarding Everleigh and Nico's relationship.

Nevertheless, I thoroughly enjoyed this lovely story about friendship, finding yourself and finding love. I secretly hope there will be books about the other housemates/friends in the future. Who knows?

It’s official. This my new favorite Monica Murphy book. 😍

Ever didn’t waste any time, her unlucky start drew me instantly.
You write a character with past trauma and dealing with life issues? Sold!

We read fiction to escape, but I also like to connect, and I was able to do so, seamlessly.

“Once I’m inside you, Ever, you’re mine.” 😍🥵 NICO!

I used to watch sports with my dad, so it’s a no brainer for me to enjoy that aspect in books.

And who doesn’t love a reformed playboy? Come on now. 😍

He can deny all he wants, but, he caved so freaking fast for her.
Sometimes the smallest things, are the big things.

And yes, it’s a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read for me!
A book that makes me feel all the things, is an automatic 5 star. I don’t make them rules.. or, actually maybe I do. 😏

I was really looking forward to End Game because I’ve have really enjoyed Monica Murphy’s previous books, but this one didn’t quite live up to my expectations. I was hoping for a romantic and fun, maybe even thrilling ride, but instead, I felt a bit let down.

Nico, the main guy in this book, is supposed to be this smooth ladies' man, but he came across as more childish than charming. I thought it would all come together in a really satisfying way, but it didn’t quite hit the mark for me. On the plus side, Monica Murphy’s knack for creating great supporting characters is still going strong. They really added some character to the story and kept me interested, even when the main plot wasn’t as gripping as I’d hoped. Her skill with secondary characters is definitely something I appreciate and enjoy in her other books.

In the end, *End Game* was okay, but it didn’t quite grab me like some of her other series have. I’m still a fan of Monica Murphy’s work, but this one just didn’t reach the heights I was hoping for. (Especially with the acknowledgment of Taylor and Travis at the end of the book, I did not get Tayvis vibes at all).

Nico and Everleigh, what a nice name by the way, very unusual. The attraction between them was something else, but nobody wants to admit it. I liked the whole dynamic Nico had with Coop and gavin. The sister was a really good friend too. Love the scenery of the campus or better the city. The Portia person was of the railing for sure. All in all a nice little story about a college sport romance.

This was such a fun read and I am so excited to see what happens in the rest of this series. We follow Everleigh as she is pulling her life together and winds up in a house living with 3 football players. Nico is hell bent on making it miserable for Ever while she's there. From bumping into her and crashing her yoga classes, he starts to maybe fall a little for her.

The banter between the boys and seeing some of the conflict between them was really intriguing and built up the characters well. I enjoyed how Ever slipped into their dynamic. However, the high attention and involvement of the side characters took over this story so the chemistry between ever and nico was harder to feel. I can't wait to get to the rest of the series and get more of this team.

Book 1 of the Kings or Campus Series. This is a football romance, opposite attract, forced proximity, and roommates to lovers story. I'm always a fan of forced proximity trope, and Everleigh and Nico were it. They tried to fight it for so long but they couldn't. I loved the chemistry between the two of them and also the chemistry Everleigh had with the other two roommates. I cannot wait for the other roommates to get their book.

I liked the book but didn't exactly love it

I don't know if I like the characters or not
The characters are good in few scenes and total 180 in others

Monica Murphy is the queen of sports romance, specifically YA and college, and I definitely think she did a great job with Ever and Nico’s story in End Game. The first book in the Kings of Campus series, this forced proximity, roommates to lovers, opposites attract book was really enjoyable!

The secondary cast was also super fun, and I cannot wait to jump head first into the next books to get even more secondary character stories!

Everleigh absolutely held her own, and I loved her setting boundaries in this slow burn story.

Cannot wait for the next books to get here!

The tension in this book was extraordinary.
The push and pull between Ever and Nico was intense and addictive.

I did feel like this story was setting the scene for follow-up books in between moments, and I can't decide whether it adds to my anticipation for the next books or whether it took away from the main plot line.

I enjoyed the friendships that were developed in this story and the sibling banter that was involved.
And while I enjoyed the little bits of drama that were interwoven throughout, I did feel like there was something missing. I haven't been able to pin down what it was but I can honestly say there was a lot to like about this book.

If you are after a slow-burn sports romance with a reformed playboy who has a fun and entertaining group of friends then this is a book for you.

This was a super cute sweet and fun read ! It’s definitely not her spiciest but the banter is top notch and the characters are just amazing definitely worth the read! Loved it!

This was an amazing football romance. I loved watching their relationship and the friendships. This story was believable and something I could truly see happening. Loved the ending and would love to see more from this group of characters.

Not much to say. The writing was good and it had the opportunity for a good story. It just fell short for me. I didn't find the characters very lovable and I felt like the two MC's had little to no chemistry. It was pretty anticlimactic. 2/5 stars ⭐ ⭐

I got this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I wanted to like this more than I did. It was hard to believe in the characters chemistry, it had little character development and it felt kind of flat

I loved the start of this a but then the middle/end kinda fell off imo

I loved the premise and the start of this with them being roommates and attracted to each other from the start, and then when they ran into his ex whilst out and he pretended that she was his new girl - it had me screaming cos it was so good

After that it moves onto a 'will they, won't they' with some cute moments where it looks like it but then when they don't and end up running away scared/not talking about things annoyed me

- sports romance (college american football)
- college romance
- roommates
- forced proximity

Oh my gosh. I eat up forced proximity (roommates) every single time. This book was really good!! I love Nico & everleigh 🥰 I really loved the chemistry between the two. The angst and the slow burn I really enjoyed it. 🖤 I also really enjoyed the friend group / group of football players in this!

This was my first time reading a book by this author, and while I enjoyed the tropes, I did find the character development lacking in places. The story lays a solid foundation for future books in the series, but the main character felt very sheltered and naive as she tried to move forward from her old life. Unfortunately, we get very little insight into her past, which I think would have helped draw me in more.

The slow-burn romance is definitely strong here, with plenty of push-and-pull moments that last almost until the final half of the book. However, I think the story would have resonated more if her growth had been explored beyond the familiar "shy, naive girl meets playboy" dynamic.

That said, the side characters were a highlight for me, and I’m intrigued to see how they, and the main storyline, evolve in future installments of the series.
