A cozy Christmas-NYE queer romance. The 3 Belvedere siblings are spiraling down to their own rock bottom so they decide to head to their mother's house in upstate NY in early December. Birdie's life has felt like driving fast without breaks and a new friend/love interest will help her to slow down. Liz is struggling at work and with feelings for her coworker. She heads home to refocus but her coworker unexpectedly shows up. Rafi is scrambling to get his life settled and his bestie Ash will help him figure out his path. Meanwhile their famous actress mother has been hiding a few secrets from her children. Some spicy scenes but mostly closed door romance.

What a delightful holiday romcom! I loved the entire cast of characters and the big cozy cabin setting.
I thought the ending was very fitting for all the characters involved and their journeys.
Highly recommend picking up for the holidays!

I didn't love the story, I thought this book had a whole lot of nothing going on. I didn't care about the characters and their drama was essentially nonexistent. overall this story was way too long for what little it gave.

I love holiday book season! It's always fun to see just how many themed novels come out each year and how many I'm able to enjoy as the year comes to a close.
Most Wonderful is a lovely addition to the 2024 holiday book collection. It tells the story of three siblings, Liz, Birdie, and Rafi, and each of their respective Christmas romances. Overall, this started off really promising! I loved how the main characters were the children of a famous comedic film star, and all found various reasons to need to escape to her getaway in the Catskills. The issues arise when you have three different storylines fighting for attention, and your interest level is not equal in all of them. I personally wished that this was just Liz and Violet's story, and it's a bit frustrating that this wasn't pitched as three separate but intertwined novels or novellas.
The writing is witty and charming and Clark does do a great job developing each character even with limited time to devote to each one. I just personally didn't enjoy some of the characters which dampened my overall experience.

DNF. I dropped this one pretty quick. Trying to juggle all three siblings and all their personalities was too much. Plus I wasn't really liking any of them.
But I will reccomended this one to people that want a diverse, hectic holiday story about a family and their love lives.

Babs Belvidere is a Moire-Rose coded actress who genuinely loves her very messy queer adult children. There's Liz, who suffers from some major Oldest Daughter Syndrome and is seriously suffering from writer's block. There's Birdie, whose Netflix special did not launch her career and who may have some problems with addiction. And there's Rafi, who loves with his whole heart even when it's very clear he isn't loved back.
And gosh, they are all so annoying. And gosh, that somehow makes them all so LIKEABLE. This was more than just a queer holiday romance. It reads like a complicated family story. There is growth and change... and YES it does wrap up into a neat little bow, but in a sweet way that does justice to the story, while still giving you a holiday romance (or three! Cus, yes, all three siblings find love!)

While I enjoyed this one enough, it was just fine. I wanted to love it more than I did. It has tons of very positive reviews, so I fully believe this to be a "me issue". It was a bit too slow for me in the middle and I think I just wanted more from it, but I can't pinpoint exactly what. It was good, but won't be memorable for me this season.

Ended up no finishing it was hard to keep track of each siblings love story. It had potential but just ended up being hard to follow because it was 3 interconnected love stories

Queer holiday romance? Count me in! This was JUST what I needed and is now one of my favorite holiday romances.
When I first started, I was worried I’d find myself only caring about one of the three stories, but I quickly became obsessed with all three siblings. Rafi is a hopeless romantic questioning his life decisions, Birdie is a hot mess of a stand up comedian, and Liz runs a popular TV show and has the most relatable Virgo energy.
Read this if you like queer romances, holidays, childhood friends to lovers, family dynamics, and Hollywood behind-the-scenes vibes.

When adult siblings Liz, Birdie, and Raf return home for the holidays to their famous actress mother's Catskills home (think Bette Midler), they are each running away from the messes they've made in their work and love lives. Liz is a tv show running, Birdie a stand-up comedian, and Raf works for a non-profit. All the three siblings want for Christmas is love.
This holiday rom com was cute but VERY OPEN DOOR (which means lots of graphic sex scenes.) The three siblings were gay, and their mother was very outgoing. This was fun and had lots of action and I really liked the unique jobs and their exploration of their work as well as their love lives. However, the huge and graphic amount of sex was too much for me. I do think lots of readers will love that more, so this would be a good choice for some. It is Family Stone crossed with Red White and Royal Blue.
Thank you to Netgalley for the advance copy for review.

Georgia Clark is a master of the genre and to see her take queer romance to the festive and cozy realm of the holiday season was a true delight. Her characters are funny, flawed and full of relatable traits. Her writing smacks of the finest pop culture and silly bits that make her voice unique. Just loved this one!

This was my first book by Georgia Clark and hopefully not my last! I really loved following the 3 siblings different storylines. There are some heavy topics that I wish took a bit more time to explore deeper. However, I did appreciate the mental health representation!

What an adorable, fun read! Christmas, siblings and falling in love - what could be better!
This was a fantastic holiday read focusing on the Belvedere siblings and their lovable mother, an aging film star. Liz, Birdie and Rafi are all, quite frankly, a hot mess. What better than Christmas to bring them all home to work out their lives and find some holiday love? This was a super cute, fun read and I really enjoyed it.
I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

So funny, sexy, romantic, adorable, and so VERY gay Christmas! Having love stories for three siblings was over the top cute and sticky sweet, but if you’re doing a queer holiday romcom, you might as well just make it crazy. I loved how all three had distinctive voices and personalities, though Birdie was by far my favorite (she was just SO hilarious and irreverent and damaged). I was worried that the end would get too ridiculous, but while there was a lot of drama, it wrapped up in a way that made sense and didn’t feel forced. The holidays are a good backbone without feeling too much, and I really enjoyed this.

This was my first Georgia Clark read and I really loved the queer references, allusions and humor, but was a bit let down with the holiday expectations and enjoyment of it all. I may have set my heights too high by wanting something that I could dub the queer rom com of the season that I’d want to go back to again, but I found myself pushing myself to even continue reading the book. I wasn’t particularly drawn to or invested in any of the characters and wasn’t rooting for or against anyone and their story. I wish that I found any of their avenues more compelling so that I was eager to keep reading rather than trying to push myself through. I still think this was a good read and I’ll be curious to pick up some more Clark books but it was a bit of a letdown compared to the hype I had seen

I've been a big fan of Georgia Clark for years, It Had to Be You is one I always recommend to people, and I was so excited to check out this holiday themed one by her!
I thought this book was so much fun. I loved all the family dynamics, all the messiness of life, and I loved each of the characters. Rafi and Ash were probably my favorite characters, although I loved Birdie too. I loved how each of them had their very distinct issues and hang-ups, and liked seeing them evolve.
This book has lots of holiday details without being too over-the-top Christmassy and I really loved that about it!
I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys quirky romances, unique characters, and the holidays.
Thank you to NetGalley for the advanced copy of this book!

DNF
I enjoyed the variety of representation, but ultimately there were too many storylines and it was difficult for me to keep track.
🗣 Thank you to NetGalley and Random House for the opportunity to read and review this book via gifted eARC! All opinions are honest and my own.

This was a cute read to start off my holiday tbr, however it didn’t really put me in the Christmas spirit. I think it was the wrong time for me and I may try it again at another time.

I feel like the set up of the book and the content manner is a bit challenging to relate too. I actually really enjoyed the way the author writes and would read more by her but this book in particular didn’t land for me. Extra start because her writing is fun and the banter is top notch.

Georgia Clark's first holiday romance! I absolutely adore Georgia's novels thus far. Sometimes, when authors do more general romance, their holiday romance books are just slightly lower quality; they can get a bit too cheesy too quickly. That did NOT happen here! Each sibling was fully fleshed out and unique, and their romances were as well. This book perfectly layered the deep with the fluff and left me so satisfied.
