Troop Esme, written by Lourdes Heuer, is about Esme, a young girl who lives in an apartment building. She has many friends in this building, and when she meets Wendall selling cookies, she knows that she can help him, and can also create her own troop of friends as well! I enjoyed the themes of friendship and working together in this book, as well as how Esme recognizes the skills of her friends and neighbors and how they can be best used to work together. Definitely recommend! Thank you to NetGalley, and to the author, illustrator, and publisher of this book for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This is a great early reader chapter book. The words and story are fairly simple but engaging. I think most early readers would enjoy this. It’s relatable and shows troubleshooting, team work, and problem solving. Thanks to NetGalley and the Publisher for the ARC.
