A KILLING COLD ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5. Thank you for the ARC NetGalley. Theo, a newly engaged woman is going away for 2 weeks to her wealthy fiancés family’s property for 2 weeks for Christmas. Having never met them, she’s nervous and intimidated by their wealth, and hierarchy within the family. When she arrives, memories of her past come to light, things begin to feel….familiar. This was a good thriller, twists and turns and an unreliable narrator. With 48 short chapters, it’s an easy book to not put down with mystery at every corner. I enjoyed it, and think others will too. I just felt at some point it felt a bit more exaggerated than it needed to be.

Thanks to NetGalley for this ARC! It’s an intriguing story from the start! We have Theo, fiancé to a wealthy man, who has secrets. Her life slowly teases and emerges in drips of dialogue. We do know that her life changed drastically from the age of 4 but beyond that, her past is a mystery. Then we have the fiancé’s snobby family. Boy do they have secrets! Whose secrets are the worst and can the couple get past them? The story is intense, and I love how the author sprinkles bits and pieces along the way. I have read prior books by this author, so when I saw that she had an ARC available, I immediately requested it!

Thank you Netgalley for the ARC of this book. What a fantastic read! Kate Alice Marshall is an auto buy authors for me from this point forward. The story itself was incredible and intriguing. The characters were extremely well done and I just love our main character Theo. Any mystery/ thriller reader would absolutely love this book. Highly, highly recommend.

Another fabulous book by Kate Alice Marshall!
Theo doesn't know who she is, who her family is or where she's from. All she knows is that she was adopted by the Scotts when she was four.
Theo and her fiancée, Connor are headed to his family's mountain to meet his family over the holidays when Theo starts having memories of her childhood. Even stranger, she seems to be familiar to some of the family and she seems to remember some of the locations. Could Theo have been here before?
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to read this digital ARC.
