4.5 Stars! Loved this book! This book was previously released as ‘Sex, Not Love’ in 2017 and is now being rereleased as ‘Something Borrowed, Something You’ and it was a fantastic read. The main characters are Hunter & Natalia and I really loved both of them. If you’re into hot, arrogant, funny, cocky, loveable main male characters, you’ll love Hunter! Health issues are discussed which I understood since I have health issues and don’t date because I don’t want to saddle someone with damaged goods, that’s just not fair to them, so I get where Hunter is coming from. I laughed a few times & had a smile on my face for a large part of this book. Definitely recommend this, it was a very enjoyable read. Entertaining, wonderful characters, heart melting moments, witty & funny banter, steamy, page turner with an HEA ending. Worth reading! Wish I could find a Hunter of my own, so if anyone knows anyone, help a girl out!

Vi keeland can do NO WRONG! I read this when it first came out as Sex, Not Love and I loved it so much more the second time around!! Cannot wait for the paperback I have preordered to come in! Thank you so much for allowing me to read this as an ARC!

This was a reread for me. I must admit I still liked it the second time around.

Such a slow burn, it’s been a while I haven’t read a nice slow burn. Everything moves so fast in other books , it’s nice to take their time.

It was also refreshing for me to read a romance novel that is set in adulthood and not teens in college.

Hot alpha males are a dependable favorite in romance novels and oh boy is Hunter one decadently hot alpha you’ll completely fall in love with!

With Sex, not Love, Vi Keeland authors a charming and touching novel with quick and witty banter, scorching sexy times, and exquisite angst. Oh! And swoon, let’s not forget the swoon. It follows Hunter Delucia, a charismatic and wealthy architect Californian, and Natalia Rossi, a divorcee and behavioral therapist from NY who has sworn off relationships.

Being part of their respective best friends’ wedding party, Nat and Hunter meet during the wedding’s rehearsal dinner where sparks immediately fly and although it wasn’t her intention, Nat ends up in Hunter’s hotel room. But when he asks her for her phone number she “accidentally” gives him a wrong one. Almost a year later they see each other again at the birth of their friends’ daughter; and when he asks for her digits once more, she gives him her mother’s number.

Hunter is not a man to be trifled with. He takes a job in NY, charms the Rossi women and sneaks his way into Nat’s life. At least for the duration of his project during which time he proposes a no strings attached mutually satisfying fling. But what started as Sex, not Love turns into much more.

I just loved how Hunter pursued Nat in the most relentlessly charming, flirty, and dirty talking way. Even though neither wanted a relationship they were so right for each other that it was evident it was so much more than just sex right from the start. But both characters must confront their past traumas in order to look forward for a future together, at which point the angst ratchets up and I found myself frantically turning pages to get to my promised happy ending.

That last part isn’t actually accurate. I was cheering Hunter and Natalia on right from the start and flipping pages without pause. I fell in love with Hunter immediately. He’s more that sweet and charming, he’s observant, attentive and all around wonderful man and she’s equally caring and generous, but she’s no dupe.

I really enjoyed the way the story was told from both Nat and Hunter’s point of view, it wasn’t exactly alternating but it was well balanced and moved the story forward with seamless flow.

Sex, Not Love by Vi Keeland is a standalone contemporary romance. It’s a sweet, sexy and swoony story that had me hooked and smiling widely from start to finish.

Vi has done it yet again!!!!

Seriously when this woman says she's releasing a new book I know I have to drop everything and read it!!

She NEVER disappoints.

I just loved this book from the very first page till the very last.

I think I giggled all the way through. Though I did have a few tears on a couple of parts. But the way Natalia & Hunter were together seriously just funny, hot, sweet & sexy.

Hunter ♡ I think I've found a new favourite book boyfriends. Vi has soooo many book boyfriends to choose from but this guy... He just says what he wants and doesnt care whether it's crude or sweet like 'I want you to sit on my face'. I would damn well do it hahaha.

I love Natalia and the rest of the characters.

I laughed, giggled, welled up, had butterflies and fanned my face a few times.

Love this book and will always love Vi's words

Natalia Rossi meets the delicious yet aggravating playboy, Hunter Delucia at her friend’s wedding. He wants to have a little wedding fun, she’s not sure. What will happen between these two opposites when their connection is on fire? Can these two commitment scared people find something that will make them give love a chance? There’s a reason they are scared to commit and you find that out through past/present tense. I smiled so much reading this one. Hunter is quite the sweet talker and I loved every second of him. It’s not all happy moments though and there is also an emotional story for what each is going through so make sure to have some tissues ready. A beautiful slow burn romance with a touching story about two people just trying to make it in the world. This was formally called S/x, not love but has gotten a makeover. Told in first person and dual POV.

I feel like I should mention before I go any further I love Vi Keelands books. “Something Borrowed, Something You” however just didn’t hit as good as her other books do. I felt this one was a little lack luster which is disappointing because it definitely had the potential to be great.

“Something Borrowed, Something You” follows Hunter and Natalia. They meet at their best friends wedding and decide to start a friends with benefits fling. But both of them of have a complicated past that causes turmoil throughout their relationship.

I think my least favorite part about this book was Hunter. His lack of being adult and using his communication skills is infuriating. Especially when we have his polar opposite with Natalia who was very honest about her distrust in men thanks to her divorce and her complicated relationship with her step daughter. I honestly think Natalia could’ve done so much better but it is what it is.

Overall, the book was enjoyable. I still feel like the book was missing something to really push it over the edge. In the end, I had fun and would recommend it.

I’m completely in love with Hunter and Natalia! Their story was so beautiful and heartfelt. The way Hunter wrestled with his emotions for so long added so much depth to their journey. Seeing them finally get their happily ever after was everything—they both truly earned it! 💜💙

I’m still wrapped in the glow of the ending, ready to give this a five star review. Read it. Have tissue ready along with an empty evening because you are not going to want to set this aside for any reason. Vi Keeland, I didn’t know you were going to make me smile AND cry!

This book has all the emotions. I was INVESTED. He was kind of a jerk at first, but a sexy one. We’ve all been through that. But there was something about his persistence that made me ready to give him a chance, even if she wasn’t ready.

Something Borrowed, Something You is a standalone title written by Vi Keeland.

Expected publication date for paperback is March 18, 2025.

*Instalust feelings
*Stubborn FMC
*Hereditary illness storyline

Natalia and Hunter meet when their best friends are getting married. Hunter overhears Natalia saying that she wants a hookup and thinks he is the perfect man for the job. Natalia thinks Hunter is very attractive but has been hurt in the past and is not willing to let go of her past trauma.

It took a long time for Natalia to give Hunter a chance, I found her character very annoying for the first half of the book. The last quarter of the story finally made me like the FMC and appreciate why she acted so stubborn.

Alternating timeline that features Hunter and his brother. Very sad to read, but I enjoyed it so much. Made me love the MMC so much!

Some OM drama in the form of her ex husband, one tiny instance of OW drama but no cheating. Slight third act separation that was quickly resolved, guaranteed HEA.

I'm very familiar with the name Vi Keeland, but apparently this is my first read. I guess I've just been floating in the right space, but just haven't picked up a book. I thoroughly enjoyed this story. I enjoyed the depth of the characters and didn't find the withholding communication frustrating (as it is typically not my favorite). This was just the book I needed to motivate me to pick up the next one.
