another fun book by this author who i am fast becoming a fan of

Riley foster is moving in to her new apartment when she meets her new neighbours kim and her 9 year old son... well her dog cari did and not wanting to start off on in a bad light she had to go grab her quick..

kim son has always wanted a dog and it wasnt long before her son was finding excuses to hang around with riley and cari and a great bond of friendship started between them....

kims dating life hasnt gone well at all and with her mother hell bent on finding her a man no matter how bad they are kim is seriously sworn off men though her dating tales are just as bad as riley when they confide in each other....

but when kim is summoned again to her parents home for another family meal kim and riley decide to act as a couple what they hadnt realised was how much their own feelings would come into play .....lmao

have to say this was an enjoyable sunday or sunny day feel good factor read and am looking forward to reading more from this author

Thank you to NetGalley for providing an ARC of this book. Overall, I enjoyed it - I would recommend it as an easy, relaxing read. It did bring to mind hallmark movies, in a good way. And also in a bad way, as some of the dialogue was a bit cliched or stilted.
There was one thing that bothered me - when introducing new characters, the author insisted on mentioning people’s skin colour/race. I understand the need to provide readers with a clear visual, but it seemed excessive. I’m curious about other’s opinions on this matter.
That said, I still enjoyed the plot and will leave a strong 3,5 stars rating.

This was super cute and I really enjoyed my time reading this! Kim and Riley are both great people and I love the way their friendship builds into something romantic, especially since Kim started this book out straight.

I also liked the healthy relationships both had with side characters, Kim has a good relationship with her ex and his new wife and Riley has her amazing sister and her girlfriend.

Just an all-round good feels romance book!

A really good rom-com with great characters who genuinely just wanted to be happy in life and just happened to find a friend next door. There was so many things that could have made this story end in another way but the people around them weren’t going to let that happen, especially the son.
