I really enjoyed this holiday themed relationship story. I love a story about characters finding family and realizing they don’t have to go it alone. At times the book was sad but I really rooted for the characters and cheered for them when they opened themselves up to love. I found the characters to be well developed and the setting was vividly described so that I felt I was experiencing a village Christmas along with the characters. I would love to spend more time with these characters!

I love Sarah Morgan's Christmas books and The Holiday Cottage is no exception! I was immediately engrossed in Imogen's story and couldn't stop reading until I found out what happened to her. There's a bit of family drama and issues from the past that must be dealt with but this made for a lovely holiday story for Imogen, Sarah and Dorothy. I love how it all came together and that there was romance involved as well.

I also listened to the audio version and enjoyed the narrator, Henrietta Meire.

Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review. All opinions are my own.

Alrighty! This was a super cute read. It’s centered around Imogen, while being told through both her perspective, and the perspective of a couple of other women.

This was a lovely, sweet holiday story about a young woman with a TRULY cruel mother. The things she says to her early on in the book are heartbreaking. Imogen spends much of the story exploring, developing and building herself back up.

At the beginning of this book I thought, “this reminds me of The Holiday!” (The film). And it did indeed, though there were much more of the women in her life surrounding her and building her up, growing with her. I really love Sarah Morgan’s storytelling abilities and she excels at providing lovely, Christmasy vibes. The little village? PERFECTION.

This was a story I really enjoyed and I love being an advanced reader for this author. This is the second book I’ve been gifted and I’m still not sated!! I’m sorely looking forward to Sarah Morgan’s next read. 💕

Imogen is a marketing genius who dedicates 24/7 to her career. Her colleagues admire the work she does, but what they don’t know is that everything else they believe to be true about Imogen is a lie. Her tightly weaved web of lies starts to unravel when it’s announced there will be a bring your dog to work day and she wonders how she will explain not bringing “Midas”.

When burnout leads Imogen to overextending herself, she’s forced to take an extended Christmas vacation—the last thing she wants. Her boss states that her vacation will begin after her lunch with Dorothy, her favourite client. Dorothy invites Imogen to spend her time off at her cottage in the Cotswolds. Imogen feels this might be the fresh start she needs to recharge, and it will help for her to get out of her small apartment in the city and be in the countryside.

Dorothy has her own reasons for helping Imogen and righting past wrongs is one of them. Dorothy’s daughter, Sara, feels that Dorothy’s kindness could backfire, but Dorothy is determined.

Will Imogen finally experience what a true Christmas season is like?

I really enjoyed this novel and how the spirit of Christmas can be spread to others especially when they least expect it.

Thank you to Sarah Morgan, Harlequin Trade Publishing & NetGalley for the advance reader copy. My review is voluntary. All opinions are my own.

The Book initially started a bit slowly in its build up to explain the main character Imogen. I won't add anything more as I don't care for spoilers in reviews. Yes, there is a romance, but for me this was almost more about the love of family. Once the book reached the point of the Holiday Cottage it moved quickly to an end.

The first of my holiday reading, The Holiday Cottage is a Hallmark Christmas movie set in the Cotswolds. We meet our heroine, Imogen in London, where of course she works too hard at her successful event business and starts to break down when her mom goes in to the hospital.

Forced to take a break from her job, one of her clients offers her the cottage near her Cotswolds home. For Imogen, the thought of a quiet country Christmas is appealing so she agrees. Soon after her arrival, she meets a dog, a handsome vet and the rest of her clients family. When a family picture catches her eye and she realizes that the client is actually the grandmother she never really knew, the holiday takes on a whole new meaning.

It was a sweet story with lots of heart and redemption. Not a lot of plot, but it's well written and captures a holiday spirit. The Christmas shopping and dog make this one worth a cozy Christmas read.

I am really enjoying @sarahmorganwrites books and this holiday read was no exception ♥️🤩

The setting was cozy, the characters were on point and the story was perfect for this time of year. A bit of a fall drama vibe with a Christmas twist 🤣

The Holiday x The Hallmark Channel. This is a perfect read for the holiday season. The main character, Imogen gives some real Cameron Diaz in 'The Holiday' vibes. A perpetual overworking marketing executive that has crafted a fake life just to keep her coworkers off her back, she is forced to take a vacation. There are a lot of contemporary holiday romances that lack anything below surface level, however 'The Holiday Cottage' comes packed with twists and family drama that keep you reading.

Thanks to Canary Street Books for my advanced copy of The Holiday Cottage by Sarah Morgan.

This was a heartfelt story of friendship and finding yourself set in the gorgeous countryside. This wasn't super Christmassy but it did take place over Christmas.

I liked there was a little more than your classic romance in this story and would classify it more as a women's fiction than a romance.

This was an excellent read! So many facets and turns that gave the characters time to develop and grow. One thing I’d love to have seen was a bit more growth for the lead but also for her sister rather than what came across as rather abrupt changes.

All in all an excellent read, especially around the holidays.

Second book. Second cottage. And Sarah Morgan is quickly becoming my favorite classic romance author!

Didn’t think I would enjoy it so much given it’s only October but boy was I wrong.

The Holly(day) Cottage is a soul-stirring story of estranged family being brought together right in time for Christmas. The characters are so endearing and their dynamic so quirky, adding to the charm and charisma of this can’t go wrong festive read. Even Ralph, Bailey and all the animals complete the uplifting touch!
Absolutely enjoyed the vivid descriptions of Imogen doing all the christmassy activities and get togethers in the magical atmosphere of the village - felt like I was right alongside them!

Looking for a heartwarming romantic book with spellbinding vibes that makes you long for your family and ready for Christmas? This is it!

PS. I want same silver Robin earrings as Sara for this Christmas :)

Thanking Harlequin Trade Publishing for gifting me this ARC through NetGalley for my honest review.

Sarah Morgan has me again! 🎄

This heartwarming and thoughtful holiday book had me from the beginning till the end.

The story is told through Sara, Imogen and Dorothy's POV.

Imogen is a successful event planner but has to make up a life outside of work to fit in. When burnout sets in, along with a tumultuous relationship with her mother (who demands she call her by her first name) she finds herself with time off during Christmas.

Dorothy a business owner and client of Imogen's thinks very highly of her and offers her a cottage on her country estate for the holiday.

Sara who is Dorothy's daughter thinks that's going a step too far offering the cottage, considering the past.

Imogen overcomes past trauma and a life she thought she wanted to find her true path to love and family.

A real message in treasure those who love you back and move on for those not capable of it.

The first half of this book was a bit slow for me, but it really picked up in the second half. It was a great story about second chances. I loved the Christmas vibe - it made me excited for the holiday season -picking out a tree, spending time with family and visiting Christmas markets which is my favorite thing to do.

Another smash by Sarah Morgan.

I always get hungry for a little holiday sparkle this time a year, and Sarah never disappoints! Imogen is soul-searching, and decides (as you do) to take refuge in a sweet, English village. I ate up every page of this and I'm already ready for her next release!!

Reading this felt like crawling into a cozy blanket fort with a steaming cup of hot cocoa. (Sadly, it was 90 degrees, so the cozy vibes were mental and not actual.) Morgan is one of my favorites for Christmas stories and I loved this from the start. It will definitely fall on my reread shelf.
