After their house burns down, Nick, his brother, and their father move from Tampa to Colorado Springs, to a house they have inherited from an eccentric great aunt. When Nick decides to clean out the attic with a huge garage sale, he discovers that the items he has sold are not what they appeared to be. Nick and his new friends start tracking down the items while discovering what they really do. Clearly the work of the eccentric genius Nikola Tesla, they realize they must do everything in their power to protect what they have found from a strange group of pastel-suited men who are turning up everywhere. Hilarious and exciting, this is an excellent start to a new trilogy. Recommended for grades 5 & up.
