I'm so sad that the third book never got published. Victoria is one of the best writers out there and this series is still one of my favorites, not just of hers, but of all time. The plot, the setting, everything is beautiful and laid out in stunning detail. I hope one day the third book will get its time to shine.

Victoria Schwab deftly handles Mac's grief in The Unbound and it was wonderful to see her grow. The author's prose is beautiful, enhancing the beauty of this story. Would recommend to any young adult fantasy lover.

Since receiving this sneak peek/excerpt I have read the full book. As always, Schwab manages to engage the reader with an innovative and unique plot, complex characters, and writing style that is both very readable as well as intricate and "classic Schwab". I am keeping my fingers crossed that the third book is being picked up and published in the future so that the trilogy can have a satisfying conclusion with most questions answered.

The Archived is one of my favorite books of all time. When I saw the preview for The Unbound, I knew I had to request it. I greatly enjoyed this preview. I loved the way the storyline was going, and can't wait to read the full book, and finish this great duology.

Opted not to read the excerpt and instead waited to read a finished copy - I LOVED this book and how it handled the way the trauma of book one mentally effecting the main character.
