A brilliant, fun romance!! I really enjoyed this one. Well written and easy to read. I devoured this within a day! Highly recommend
The Roommate Remodel by Grace Worthington was a great escape. She captures flirty banter, all the feels and somewhat enemy to lovers romance. This is a closed door romance but Grace was still able to deliver on the chemistry between them.
I am not a huge hockey fan but found the 'who is wearing who's jersey' quite fun. The author created a lot of fun scenes (kindergarten class and zip lining just to name a couple.)
I would definitely recommend this book and I will be reading more of Grace's books in the near future.
Great read,a workplace romance, I liked both characters and wanted everything to work out for them. Looking forward to the next books in this series.
Such a cute romantic comedy. I loved the characters and their love story!

Ghosted after a perfect night together, the last thing Jaz expected was for Brax to be her new renter. But with finances stretched thin, she has no choice but to accept him and three fellow hockey teammates. Can the two peacefully coexist in close proximity, or will their past history prevent them from moving on?
Grace Worthington just gets better with each book she releases! I have had the pleasure of reading her latest four books. With each book her storytelling progression is evident.
I couldn’t put this book down. I finished it within 24 hours. They were the cutest couple! I will be thinking about the school scene where Brax read to the kindergarteners and the zip lining scene until Worthington releases her next book.
*I cannot wait to read the fake dating novel featuring Sloane and Vale.
Special thanks to Netgalley, Victoria Editing, and Grace Worthington for allowing me to read this book in exchange for my honest review.
Brax and Jaz hit it off at Brax's sister's wedding where Jaz is a bridesmaid. But after magical night, he ghosts her!
But the past can't stay in the past because when Jaz lists a rooms in her house to rent to cover her mortgage, they get filled with hockey players. And surprise, Brax is one of them!
Jaz had no clue Brax was coming to play on the Crushers, and to make things more complicated, she's the team's new community relations manager.
And when she learns of some shady dealings behind the scenes, she has to add saving the team to her task list under figuring out how to pay her sister's medical bills and fix up her house. How can she possibly juggle her feelings for Brax too?
_____
This book hit all the great hockey rom com tropes while centering the team dynamic and setting us up for hopefully more Crushers books!
Jaz and Brax are both characters who carry the weight of those they love on their shoulders and I loved how they, along with the found family here, encourage each other to not shoulder those burdens alone.
This book is funny and very sexy while still fully being clean. This is only my second Grace Worthington, but I plan to definitely keep reading her books.
_____
This is a closed door, kisses only rom com. It is part of a series but can be read as a stand alone.
Content Warnings. (from author): panic attacks/anxiety, death of a parent (past), brain injury (side character), being ghosted by text (IYKYK)
Thanks to the author for the gifted book. No favorable review required. All opinions are my own.

When Jaz meets Brax at his sister's ( her best friend's wedding). Ends in a night with an exchange of a phone number. fast-forward about 10 months, and Brax and his twin bother find themselves playing hockey for the Carolina Crushers, a small town team with a losing record and no fans. Needing a place to stay the team finds them a place with an unlikely place ( with Jaz and her sister). Jaz bought her grandmother's house after she passed away, and after her sister's accident, she moved into the house as well. When Jaz sees Brax for the first time, she is shocked. She also comes up with house rules to try to help her avoid being around him even though they are sharing house( actually he is renting a room). Quickly you can tell they still have feelings for each other. Jaz gets a job with the Crushers helping them with community outreach and trying to grow their fan base. After over hearing a conversation Jaz was forced to stay quite with the threat of losing her job. Brax also has history with a former rival turned teammate, who’s problem with Brax went deeper then he even know. Brax and the team ( in their free time) helps Jaz with a few projects around the house. With a few twists and turns this read hands down my favorite of the month. I am excited to read more from Grace Worthington.
The Roommate Remodel is a hockey/second chance romance story. This is the first Grace Worthington book I've read, and I absolutely enjoyed it. I loved the characters' development throughout the story. I enjoyed the story from start to finish. The teammates that the author introduced in this book were also really great. I can't wait for the author to write more about these guys in her next hockey series!

The Roommate Remodel is a cute hockey/second chance romance story that was an enjoyable quick read. All of the guys characters were written so well, and the closed door romance makes it perfect to recommend to my older students.
Thank you netgalley for an arc of The Roommate Remodel by Grace Worthington
A fun hockey romance. I enjoyed the close proximity aspect of the story as well as the sports romance. There was so much happening that kept getting in the way of the relationship, which made the story interesting.
This is the first book I’ve read from Grace Worthington and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Loved the taboos of eating best friend’s brother as well as someone you work with. And of course my favorite trope of forced proximity was a major part of the storyline. I loved how well the characters were presented so we felt like we really knew even some of the very minor characters in the book.
This was a super cute second chance romance that also had forced proximity and HOCKEY! That sounds like a lot of tropes but it worked so well. This is a closed door romance so keep that in mind, but I don’t mind that! I’m going to check out more from this author on KU now!
I enjoyed this book a lot. If you are looking for a sweet closed door romance this one is for you! The romance was so sweet and I was rooting for the main character the whole time.
Oh my cuteness!!! I was so excited that this next book in the Renovation Romance series was Brax's and Jaz's story!!! *Happy Sigh* We got to see them in the previous book and I loved that this one started off with a wedding. Jaz's best friend's wedding (the main character from the previous book), who just happens to be Brax's sister. And yes, he's been told to stay away from Jaz!
Y'all are going to LOVE the wedding scene! Oh my heart it was adorable and super swoony! And funny! Definitely a favorite opening of a book for me. But just you wait for the downfall to happen, cause it comes! And then there are several surprises and ups and downs and lots of goodness!!!
I've been reading several books that are hockey rom-coms and I'm hooked. They've all been great! In fact I'm reading another one right now! Yes, I love hockey and love that all of these authors are writing books about it. Have you jumped on the bandwagon in reading all of the hockey books too? If you need recs for some good ones, let me know! I've got a few! ;-)
Brax is going to melt your heart right along with Jaz's so be prepared for that!
And get ready to meet all of the hockey team players. They're sometimes a handful but I love their friendship and camaraderie! They like to play hockey, joke around but they've always got each other's backs! Especially when there's so drama happening and a fellow player needs help!
I loved it all! And now I'm hoping that Brax's twin brother will get his story...and yes, he also plays hockey! *grins*
Content: Clean. Some kisses and making out. Some mild innuendos. Some moments of mild suspense/peril but nothing graphic.
I received a copy from the publisher, Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op, via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions in the review are my own.
Happy Reading!!!
This was a cute, closed door, brother's best friend, hockey romance. It was fast pace and the characters build cute relationships together along the way. The team getting closer through the book was a sweet touch. Jaz has a big heart and takes care of everyone, Brax is a sweet guy trying to take care of Jaz so she can catch a break every now and then.
Cute closed door rom com. It is a fun series and this is a great addition to the series. Books are stand alone books, but is is fun to see the characters cross over. I liked the characters and story line. I was invested in the story and characters.
HGTV vibes AND hockey...what's not to love?! I also really enjoyed the combination of tropes in this one...best friend's brother, forced proximity, second chance, and found family. There was even some suspense mixed in. This was my first book by Grace Worthington and now I can't wait to catch up on her backlog!
Jazlyn...Man, this girl had the weight of the world on her shoulders and she honestly carried it quite well all things considered. And her dream bedroom sounded so amazing with those gorgeous built-ins! Her favorite Taylor Swift song is also my favorite, so...💜
Brax...I love how he put Jaz and her well-being first from the very beginning. And the wooing...This guy is a master. He really put in the work to win Jaz's trust back. He's really just an incredibly thoughtful and respectful MMC...totally swoony!
Things I loved...all of the renovations to Granny's home, the relationship between Jaz and Sloan, the vastly different personalities of all the guys, the top-notch nicknames, the loyalty of found family, and all the charity and community events.
I'm so looking forward to Vale and Sloan's book in a new series!

A cute and sweet second chance, roommates/close proximity and hockey rom - there’s so much happening in this quick read and so worthwhile picking up!
I haven’t read the first books in the series but turns out they’re sitting in my kindle library waiting for me, so I will read them soon… I jumped at the chance to read the arc of this one as soon as I saw it come up because the blurb sounded right up my hockey romcom loving alley, and it absolutely hit the spot. It’s unique because of how the tropes are mashed up, and I really enjoyed it. The only complaint with it is that it’s “sweet and swoony” (aka clean/closed door). This one really could have benefited from a touch of spice.
I enjoyed Brax and Jazlyn, from meeting at his sister’s wedding to when he and his twin moved in with her sister as roommates (several of his new hockey teammates became roommates to help her out and pay medical bills… but that’s a whole other part of the plot). Their wedding meet-cute was fantastic with a closet picnic and Swifty dance to avoid the bouquet toss, a very memorable kiss, and then a year of ghosting until he appears in her kitchen. The now enemies and roommates and she’s also working for the team - and so much more - is a fresh take on a lot of hockey romance novels that I just couldn’t get enough of and I read it so quickly.
This one is excellent and I definitely recommend it - so many twists and turns and not a typical and formulaic read. Go grab it! I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the series and glad to have found a new author I enjoyed this much!
I received an advance copy from NetGalley and Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op, and this is my honest feedback.
This book had such genuine, tender relationships, both between Jazz and Brax and others in the story….Jazz and her sister, Sloan, Brax and his brother, vale, and other various teammates and friends. Connections felt deep, realistic, and heartfelt.
Alex and Tom are the perfect villains and the team rallying to save the day and thwart their plans is fun and satisfying. Funny and realistic dialogue, interesting challenges, and a fun look into life as a hockey player make this book a must-read. Can’t wait for the other books in the series!
Hockey romances may be my new favorite thing. This book was so good. It follows Jaz and Brax as they navigate being roommates after he kissed her at her best friend's wedding, and never called her afterward. Brax also happens to be her best friend's brother. When Brax arrives at Jaz's house it's a total surprise for both of them. Jaz is still mad he never called and Brax is just trying to avoid her anger. Oh, and to make things worse Jaz has taken a new job working for Brax's hockey team. Jaz and Brax grew on me as the book continued, especially Brax Sometimes he has a tough exterior but really he is just so sweet. I also loved the teammates on Brax's hockey team. They were funny and added an extra layer to the story. Grace Worthington did well balancing the romance with the hockey storyline. Things I loved about this story include forced proximity, she wears his jersey, and he's protective of her. Also, this book is closed door but it still gives you all the feels.
Thank you to NetGalley. These are my own opinions.
