This book was such an amazing thriller it had me second guessing to the very end. I would highly recommend this book.

Christina & Michael seem to have the perfect marriage … but is there such a thing?! Seems not!!
Christina drives home in the pouring rain on country roads, after a drink with her brother. So when she feels her car hit something, she gets out the car, to see what animal it was. There is no animal, in fact she can’t see anything at all, on the dark roads, She panics, she has had a drink, and drives home. The next day, the police are at the door … her Husband has been involved in a hit and run … what?!
This is a prime example of how a little White Lie can snowball and it’s too late to correct what you have said.
AJ Campbell has literally done it again BUT even better with each book. THAT ending though whaaaat??!!
If you haven’t read any books by this author … then it should be law that you do! 😜 😂❤️

This was a good domestic thriller that had me guessing and changing my mind throughout even thought i had it all sussed out at one point but nope i didn't with a great twist I never saw coming would recommend
This book absolutely wowed me. I finished it in two days. It was the epitome of a thriller. There was suspense, and there were shocking turns of events. I wanted to keep going, but I hated to see this book end. I truly enjoyed AJ Campbell's writing.
Another cracker of a book from @ajcampbellauthor This time we follow the main character on her drive home after a night out and the story just grows and grows as we learn more about the family, it twists and turns as secrets are revealed, and every time I thought I knew who had hit Michael there was another twist revealed and I realised I was wrong, and wow, I did not expect that ending!
A.J. Campbell returns following My Perfect Marriage with her latest sizzling cat-and-mouse domestic suspense, DID I KILL MY HUSBAND?
About...
Christina is driving in atrocious weather at night and hits something she thinks is an animal or deer, possibly, then runs off. She does not see anything. Later, when the cops arrive at her home, she discovers her husband has been hit and is the victim of a hit and run, he is in critical condition and in the hospital in a coma!
What in the world is going on? What was her husband doing on foot in this weather when he was supposed to be home with the children? Christina and Michael are not the perfect couple and family, but she would not kill him or harm him. But she has her brother Ted to help her with this horrible problem. What is she to do? She feels guilty, and she cannot tell anyone. Trust no one.
Everyone is hiding secrets. Michael is at the heart of a scandal at the school where he teaches, but he was cleared of any wrongdoing. A teenage crush? But is he hiding something? What if he dies?
Did she kill her husband? What has she done? Things are not adding up. What is he hiding? D.S. Macintosh is on the case. He wants to know who would cause her husband harm. Does she truly know her husband?
But now she has a secret...If he wakes up, will he remember who hit him? Is he feigning amnesia? She can do it. Until she receives a note. Someone saw something. Her worst nightmare. A blackmailer? MERRY CHRISTMAS!
"Lying is like a snowball. The more you roll it, the larger it becomes. And it's not just her who is lying..."
My thoughts...
DID I KILL MY HUSBAND is a twisty, fun, quick-read domestic thriller. I enjoy A.J. Campbell's short chapters that leave a hanging question. There are so many questions and suspicions. It is a riveting cat-and-mouse thriller, leaving you guessing as to which is the cat and which is the mouse.
A popcorn thriller, mind-blowing, with numerous suspects, including dark secrets of marriage, lies, manipulation, shame, infidelity, guilt, evil, fear, deceit, betrayal, and madness. The author cleverly keeps you guessing until the last page is turned.

Oh. My. God. A.J. Campbell has done it again! With a blistering pace, ever rising dread, and top-notch twists, the author of Did I Kill My Husband? had me in the palm of her hand. Layered with dark secrets and a heaping pile of lies, there wasn’t a chance of me working out the whos, the whats, and the whys. Well, I did have one sneaking suspicion, but as the plot twisted and turned, I convinced myself I couldn’t possibly be right. But when the final revelation was finally laid at my feet, it still felt both mind-blowingly shocking and like the perfect answer to this superlative puzzle.
As for the characters, I went from rooting for Christina to wanting to shake her more than once. Part suspicious and part oblivious, she was the perfect dupe for this stellar storyline all things considered. But it was the rest of the cast that perfected the plot. From the angsty teen son to helpful twin brother, no one was out of range from my distrustful side-eye. Was Christina really the culprit? Or was she being played for a fool? It wasn’t until the final timely revelation where all was revealed.
Done and dusted, this book was only further proof of why Campbell is one of my favorite authors. Giving rise to an anxiety that utterly oozed from the pages, I quite literally raced through this book in just a single sitting. A gripping domestic thriller that reached a rather chilling crescendo, the short chapters kept me reading way too late into the night. All I know is that yet again Ms. Campbell had left me wanting more. One more word. One more page. One more heart-pumping ride. For that reason, I can’t wait to read whatever she comes up with next. I do, however, have one recommendation. Go into this one blind. It will be worth it. Rating of 4.5 stars.
This book was a great whodunit. Every turn had me more puzzled than the next. I honestly couldn't even decide if I had a theory on what was going to happen until about 70% in and even then, I was wrong. The twist at the end had my jaw on the floor... didn't see that one coming. There were tons of twists and turns throughout. This book had me saying, "one more chapter" and then reading way more. This also had great short chapters that made it a binge-worthy thriller you won't be able to put down.
I couldn’t put this down!! I love that the chapters are short and fast paced. I kept telling myself “one more chapter” then I would just keep going! Everyone felt like a suspect and I did not see the end coming! Excellent read!
This was a great read! And I didn't see the twist coming at all! I really thought I had figured out who did it, but I was wrong! The ending didn't feel quite as satisfying as some of Amanda's other books, but I still definitely recommend for a great summer thriller!
Did I Kill My Husband? took me all the way until the end before I could decide how I really felt about it.
Here are the positives:
- Short chapters that are not long and drawn out with unnecessary details.
- The twists, although they came mostly at the end, were great!
- The author did a great job of making everyone feel like a suspect. I was definitely led astray several times!
And the cons:
- This style of book — the uncertainty of if you did something or not — can be annoying. It tends to be repetitive and the entire story bounces back and forth from the same character agonizing over and over again about the same thing.
- The chapters jumped over important events. A chapter would end and then the next chapter would pick up describing some event that we didn’t get to read about it and that was frustrating.
Overall this was repetitive at times but the twists and turns to the conclusion redeemed it for me!
Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for the opportunity to read this ARC before its intended publication date of May 29, 2024.
Unfortunately could not finish reading this book and had to give up. Maybe it was not the right time but I will definitely give it another shot soon and will post a proper review at that time.
Thank you Netgalley, Bookouture and AJ Campbell for providing me with an ARC of this book.
Another great, didn't want to put down until I finished, fast moving read from AJ!
One night, Christina is driving and hits something...... Or so she thinks. Then finds out her husband, Michael, is the victim of a hit and run.
Did she do it?
I love how her books just keep me flipping pages and on my toes. I just can't believe the secrets that keep coming out about Michael and what a scum he turned out to be! I had one thing that happened in this story pegged down 😳 and holy..... It's not good (that certain situation.... Not the story) I was glad for the one person that Christina KNEW she could trust through this whole situation and was there for her through every horrible ordeal.
Brilliant thriller about a wife who thinks she is responsible for a hit and run on her husband. I loved the main characters in this book and the relationship with her children and family. Great twist at the end read it you won’t be disappointed
Did I Kill My Husband is AJ Campbell’s latest thriller. Buckle up, Ms. Campbell takes you on a rollercoaster ride with many twist and turns. This is a fast paced, well written and thought out thriller. An engaging story filled with many secrets and lies. The characters are complex but you will love to hate some of them. Your heart will race from start to finish! You will think you have it figured out but Ms. Campbell will prove you wrong. I completely enjoyed this thriller and never saw that jaw dropping ending coming at all. Kudos AJ Campbell!!

Christina is driving home during a torrential downpour when she hits what she thinks is an animal. After searching for it and not finding it, she goes home only to later be awoken by police saying her husband has been the victim of a hit and run. Christina is terrified she'll end up in prison, especially when she starts learning her husband has been lying.
Another brilliant thriller by AJ Campbell. Full of twists, this one has me guessing throughout. I genuinely spent the entire time I was reading, believing I knew what was going on, but by the end, I realised I was completely wrong. Thoroughly enjoyed this one.
I was lucky to read Did I kill my husband as ARC, thank you!
When married people start drifting apart, is it an excuse for cheating? Or trying to kill your husband? Christina has her great 2nd marriage after being cheated on by her first husband. But it’s all surface level as more details are being exposed. That perfect man all of a sudden has his dark side and it’s even worse than anyone thought. But is killing your husband better? Or everything that led to it. Sort of wishing there was more to the story about other relevant characters, to make ending more impactful.
"Did I Kill My Husband?" by AJ Campbell is a gripping psychological thriller that keeps readers on the edge of their seats from start to finish. Campbell masterfully weaves a tale of suspense, mystery, and intrigue that explores the depths of memory and the uncertainty of truth. The plot is cleverly constructed with twists and turns that maintain a high level of suspense. The pacing is brisk, and the tension is palpable, making it difficult to put the book down. However, there are moments when the story could benefit from more detailed explanations to clarify certain plot points, which may leave some readers wanting more. The writing style is engaging and immersive, drawing readers into the protagonist's world and her quest for answers. Campbell's attention to detail and her ability to create a vivid atmosphere enhance the reading experience, making the story come alive. "Did I Kill My Husband?" is a thought-provoking and exhilarating read that keeps readers guessing until the very end. While it has a few minor flaws, the overall impact of the story is strong, showcasing AJ Campbell's talent for crafting an intriguing and suspenseful narrative. In summary, "Did I Kill My Husband?" is a must-read for fans of psychological thrillers. It offers a captivating blend of suspense, mystery, and psychological depth that makes for a thoroughly enjoyable read.

Well, this didn't hold back any punches and grabs you right from the start.
I can't really say too much about the plot as I've just checked the blurb and it's not really clear from that what events happen and when - so I'm just going to keep this totally spoiler free!
The event that happens right at the start of the book leaves you undecided about who did what and who to trust.
This event starts the ball rolling for Christine to delve a bit deeper into her life and beyond - and what she finds then creates a whole host of issues.
I loved the way this developed through the book and I spent most of that time trying to make new theories to fit round different ideas as things were discovered.
We were fed little bits of information along the way which allowed me to form different ideas - but not enough to reveal the true story.....until the big reveal at the end.
I have to admit that I didn't really like the characters.
I think because I couldn't trust any of them, this made me hesitant with my judgement.
I guess we're essentially meant to like Christine and feel for her throughout the book. The trauma and upheaval of what's happening in her life should have made me sympathetic - but there was just something that held me back with her.
I totally got why her character acted as she did and why she made certain decisions, I just couldn't get with her sadly.
I loved the short chapters which had me racing through the book - I had to just sneak that one more chapter in each time I sat down to read.
I also loved the little teasers that we were given throughout - Campbell had me chasing down all kinds of routes to find a good theory.....but I still didn't get to the right answers.
Another great read from this author - I can't wait to see what's in store for us all next.....
💕Thank you to the author, publisher and NetGalley for my ARC copy - this is my honest review 💕
