Thank you so much for sharing this ARC, it was a pleasure to read. Sage has written another beautiful story that highlights intimacy in every sense of the word. Usually when young children play a large role in a novel like this they come across as a caricature of a child, but Riley was so sweet and well written. I loved every moment between her and Teddy, and I adored seeing the unique relationships she had with every character in this story. I would have liked more background into the feud between Teddy and Gus, but I was excited to keep coming back to see how their relationship unfolded. I was was pleasantly surprised by the lack of a third act breakup. I found the absence of this romance trope refreshing, and I thought it was smart to instead use the conflict with Teddy's family as a way to develop the emotional intimacy of our main character's relationship while still having that dramatic moment in the third act. Romance is so back!

A review has been posted on my goodreads, and I plan to post a short blurb about the book on my bookstagram this week.

OH WE ARE SO BACK BABY.

I've been waiting for so long to finally read Gus and Teddy's story and Lyla 10000% delivered. I had the time of my life reading this book!!!

Every single trope throughout the book truly ATE for me. I am such a huge fan of an 'enemies to lovers'/forced proximity moment' and it was extremely prominent throughout. The tension was immaculate and really helped spurred the action through to the climax.

I love Gus SO MUCH. When I found out he had glasses, I SCREAMED. I literally said "Oh my god, he has glasses, I'm screwed". I really just loved how his relationship and friendship with Teddy changed as the two got closer. Riley had me screaming with all of her little matchmaker tendencies when the trio were together.

Teddy was SO RELATABLE. As someone who is also getting older and having friends moving on into different stages of life, this was extremely relatable. I completely felt and understood her frustration. and pain that came with that realization. I personally just love her. She is me and I am her.

The thing I love the most about this book was the fact that not only is it a fantastic love story, but it's also an incredible story about the love between fathers and daughters and sons!!! The parallels between Gus and Riley and Teddy and her father really made my heart so happy. After reading Lyla's note at the end of the novel, I was so emotional thinking about the pain and meaning from Lyla's personal life that she bled into the story. It was so real and heartbreaking; it truly affected me so deeply.

Overall, truly her best book yet! It was the perfect mix of spicy and sweet with the right amount of tension from the couple that we've been WAITING for!!!

Thank you Dial Press, Lyla Sage, and Netgalley for this eARC in exchange for my honest review.

Lost and Lassoed by Lyla Sage was a quick and spicy read. I had not read the prior two in the series which was fine as it read well as a standalone book too.

It was a romantic comedy type of book - classic single dad meets wild girl and they have a deep and long standing disdain for one another. Said wild girl is also best friend of single dad's sister. I liked the way the author built each character out and gave their viewpoints to the story in alternating chapters.

All in all a good summer read which I enjoyed.

Listen, if Lyla Sage has no fans, then I am dead. This girl KNOWS how to write a small-town romance novel worth going feral for. This entire series makes me want to pack up and move to Rebel Blue, and this book is no exception. Ever since the Done and Dusted, I have been patiently waiting for Teddy and Gus to have their storyline. The angsty tension between them was just too perfect for their story to not end in romance.

Let me tell you; their story was written, and it was written well. The development of their relationship and their warming towards one another was so touching. I loved how gentle Teddy is with Riley, and how their relationship with one other blooms. I loved how well Cam and Gus co-parent and look out for one another (it's just SO HEALTHY). Really, the way Gus approaches all his relationships is just so intentional and healthy it makes me SWOON. Their chemistry and sexual tension was off the charts. It was all so good.

I really appreciated the way Sage wrote the character development between these two, and built a friendship over time that was growing outside of their lust for one another. Sometimes I feel with enemies to lovers the lust is the major driving factor, but with this book we get lasting friendship along with the lust and it was beautiful.

Another aspect of this book I loved and wanted to make mention of is the afterward about Sage's father. It was absolutely beautiful and so heartfelt, such a great little addition to give the why behind her Rebel Blue series.

Thank you to Random House and Lyla Sage for an advanced copy of this title via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

4.25 ⭐️

i can confidently say with a happy heart and tear stained cheeks that this is lyla sage’s best one yet! as excited as i was to be back at rebel blue ranch, i honestly wasn’t one of the ride or die fans that was waiting for teddy and gus’s story… that was until i actually read it. i was lucky enough to receive an arc from the dial press via netgalley, and reading their story was an absolute joy! favorite of the series by far 😍

this was an enemies to lovers dream filled with exquisite banter and the perfect amount of heart. i am a sucker for the single parent/nanny trope, but this was so much more thanks to the history between teddy and gus. both of our main characters love fiercely, with their whole heart and put others before themselves time and time again. it was just amazing to see them choose each other, and in doing so finally choosing themselves too 🥹 getting little glimpses of them in the previous two books set it up perfectly, and i absolutely loved getting to see them slowly lower their guards and let one another in.

not only was this a love story between teddy and gus, but also a love letter to friendship and parenthood. teddy and emmys relationship was such a testament to the importance and strength of female friendship throughout all chapters of life. teddy’s relationship with her dad, and gus’s relationship with riley, both spoke to the precious and unbreakable bond between fathers and daughters.

lastly, seeing such a strong female lead in teddy, who was also scared to open up about how she was foundering in her personal life was so honestly so comforting. i loved how she was finally able to be every version of herself with gus, and how her connection with riley changed her for the better.

i laughed, i cried, i loved every minute of this book 🤎 i can NOT wait to read the next in this series!

Lyla Sage has done it again! The highly anticipated third installment of the Rebel Blue Ranch series is FANTASTIC! Gus and Teddy were the perfect enemies to lovers story. They are twin flames and the spicy scenes were 🔥🔥🔥. I can’t wait for Cam and Dusty’s book. Thank you Netgalley and Random House for this ARC.

This book was a great addition to the Blue Rebel Ranch series. Teddy and Gus have been captivating side characters in the first two books and I enjoyed getting to read their story. I thought that the chemistry between the two was excellent and I also enjoyed how the fourth act conflict was between Emmy and Teddy instead of the two protagonists, this book also set up the fourth book well - can’t wait to see where this series goes next!

I LOVED THIS BOOK!
Lyla Sage has mastered the art of the western written in the female gaze. It is authentic and beautiful and she writes absolutely dazzling female main characters that are fully thought out, 3D people. I can't wait for the 4th installment and i'm sure to eat it up as quickly as I did Teddy's story.

I had a couple of edits that I sent to the publisher, one spelling and one that only a #horsegirl would catch.

Thank you to Net Galley and the publishers for the Arc.

Gus and Teddy stole my heart from the moment we met them in Done and Dusted, so saying I was excited to receive this arc is an absolute understatement.
Lost and Lassoed is beautifully written; it had me laughing, crying, and then laughing and crying even more. From the very first chapter of Lost and Lassoed, I couldn’t stop laughing and feeling giddy. I wish I could move to Meadowlark—there must be another Ryder brother hiding somewhere in that cowboy town, right?

This is the third book in this series, and I love all of them so much! This one specifically does such a great enemies-to-lovers romance and I absolutely love it. I've been shipping Gus and Teddy since the moment they hated each other so much in book one, and I just KNEW this needed to happen. There are two things worth nothing here: first, I don't read a lot of western romance, so this series could be a great intro to the subgenre, and second, MUSTACHES. That's all. Thank you so much.

Thank you to Lyla Sage, Dial Press, and Netgalley for the eARC in exchange for my honest review!

LOST AND LASSOED is a cowboy romance and the third installment in the REBEL BLUE RANCH series (aka one of my favorite series i've read this year). in LOST AND LASSOED, teddy and gus are forced to set their differences aside and work together for the summer. as they spend more and more time together, they start to see each other in a different light.

i love this series with everything in my heart and i have been anxiously awaiting the chance to read about teddy and gus because if there's one thing i love, it's fiery redheads and the men who love them (and oh boy does gus love teddy). this book was everything i wanted it to be and more (there's one bit in the epilogue that had me blushing, twirling my hair, kicking my feet, etc). this book was incredible and i absolutely cannot wait to read the next one (and to get more of teddy and gus in the background).

read if you like:
- enemies to lovers
- opposites attract
- spunky six-year-olds

thanks to netgalley and the dial press for the advanced copy! LOST AND LASSOED is out november 5.

I loved this book, and I can definitely tell that this will sell well with the target demographic of those who are interested in the small-town romance trope. This was not my favorite within the "Rebel Blue Ranch" series, but this is definitely still a series that I will hand-sell and recommend out the gate. It is definitely easy and captivating enough for beginning readers, but still has the spice and character development for those that have been reading for some time.
As someone who has been reading for a while, I do wish that the books were longer. I love small-town romance books, and I feel that normally books should not be over 450 pages. However I do think that we should be at least 350/375 just so that you can get that pretty lyrical writing and the good character development that makes you want to continue the series.

A definite 3 star read :)
Thank you so much to Netgalley and to Lyla Sage's publishing company for allowing me to receive an early cope of "Lost and Lassoed".

Love opposites attract, especially if it is enemies to lovers! Teddy and Gus go through it together and come out stronger in the end. The spice is delectable and the romance is tangible.

Again, I knew I’d love this one from the get go as Rebel Blue Ranch has become one of my favorite places to escape to. Gus and Teddy DID IT for me let me tell ya. I loved falling in love with them even more than I had from previous books. and Riley was the best part, she’s so cute and funny. And I loveeeee a single dad let me tell ya. Everyone pick this up first thing Nov 5. Thank you ms Lyla, can’t wait to get my hands on a physical copy.

Love, love, LOVE this book! Sage has been teasing Teddy’s and Gus’s love story since Done and Dusted, and boy did she deliver. Not to mention that gorgeous cover! And the setup for the next book in the series? Amazing!

Teddy and Gus are what dreams are made of: their enemies-to-lovers story began on day one at Rebel Blue, and the wait has been oh, so, worth it! Grumpy cowboy Gus falls for sunshine-creative Teddy, who is also his sister’s best friend. When they are forced to work together, they find that they actually like each other… a lot.

Teddy is a laugh-out-loud joy. I giggle-snorted more times than I can count, all due to her unabashed, say-it-like-it-is attitude. But when things come to Gus, the eldest sibling & single dad over at Rebel Blue Ranch, the enemies-to-lovers shift is more like an unfolding— it’s dreamy, lovely, supportive and beautiful to watch. I loved every minute of it.

Favorite tropes:
Grumpy cowboy
Unabashed creative (Teddy is GLORIOUS)
Single dad
Forced proximity
Small town
Teddy plays the DRUMS (Is there anything she can’t do?)
She knows Maverick loves Twizzlers - do horses really eat those?

This is Lyla Sage’s best cowboy romance yet! Teddy and Gus’s chemistry has been smoldering since book one, and it’s a glorious inferno when it erupts! The whole cast of Rebel Blue is back to watch with us, and it couldn’t be better. Don’t miss it!

Thank you so much to The Dial Press for a free copy!

This book DELIVERED.

The angst, the back and forth banter, and the chemistry kept you at your toes throughout the whole story. You could tell it was going to be good when they got locked in a closet TOGETHER (basement demons be damned)!

The whole forced proximity concept really helped August (Gus) and Teddy (Theodora) blossom deeper into their emotional feelings, which eventually led to them realizing they are the perfect match.

More Lyla Sage cowboys? UM YES PLEASE.

No because this entire series has hooked me, but give me single parent trope any day of the week and I will be WEAK in the knees. I devoured this book so quickly in need of my Lyla cowboy fix, and when I tell y'all it was delicious, Lyla DELIVERED.

Gus is probably my favourite Lyla cowboy to date, and their story was just so sweet and cute, I couldn't get enough of it! Teddy and Amos are just the absolute cutest together and the tropes in the book hit just right. It was utter perfection.

I'll be thinking about this book for months now!

Thank you NetGalley for the eARC!
