Lyla Sage is at the top of her game with this one. Following the two we’ve all been 'shipping since the beginning Sage does a wonderful job with their story. Theodora Andersen and August Ryder can barely stand to be in the same room as one another it has always been this way. He’s stoic and steady, she’s a bit flighty and feels all the feels. But when they are thrown together for a summer - they have to admit that it’s an issue of opposites attract than either ever wanted to acknowledge.

I loved the build up to the story of Teddy and Gus. The build up was the best part.
I loved the banter but I wanted more of it. The pacing of the book was rushed but we did get what we were looking for. I guess I was looking for a bit more time as enemies to create more of a build up.
Thank you Netgalley for providing digital advanced copy in exchange for honest review.
and the most anticipated story in the rebel blue ranch series — gus and teddy’s. gus and teddy never waste an opportunity to snipe at each other. gus thinks teddy is a bad influence on his younger sister, emmy. but while gus’s baby mama is away from the summer, he has no choice but to accept help from the last person on earth he’d ever want it from, teddy. teddy and gus although seemingly opposite, teddy is loud and precocious and outspoken, whereas grumpy gus likes to communicate through grunts, they are fierce for the ones they love. and soon that becomes each othhheerrrrrr!! after living together at gus’s, “theodora…” soon turns to “teddy baby” and some other expletives. Hehe.
Loved this 3rd in a series set in Rebel Blue, a beautiful Wyoming ranch owned and worked by a close knit collection of friends and family. I love this community of vibrant, funny, and quirky characters and am always sad when it is over. Highly recommend! Releases Nov 5th, don't miss this series!
I’ve loved every book in this series but this might be my favorite (so far)! Fun and light, feisty and heart thudding sweetness makes for the glorious story of Gus and Teddy! I can’t wait to read more of these characters and the setting. Many thanks to the publisher and netgalley for this early copy for read and review
Thank you to Random House for this e-ARC of Lost and Lassoed in exchange for an honest review. Obsessed with this book is a complete understatement. This was the book of my dreams and the book that will haunt me because I fear that I will not be able to find anything better. Readers of this series have gotten delectable hints of Gus and Teddy since Done and Dusted, so there are obviously going to be big expectations for their story. Lyla Sage ABSOLUTELY delivered. The banter was alive and well and their intimate moments were raw and emotional in ways I didn't expect. Nanny x single dad is not a new trope at all, but Lyla wrote such an organic story and I am absolutely bummed that I now have to wait so long for the last and final installment of the Blue Rebel Ranch series.
I did think there were certain aspects of Gus and Teddy's relationship that could use clarification and expansion upon in the final product, but nothing glaring that needs to change the direction of the book. Really, there were just moments where the author essentially starts a thought and leaves the reader hanging without any follow through. A bit of polishing would make this book go from great to excellent, in my opinion.
Lost and Lassoed is everything you want in a small town, cowboy, enemies to lovers romance packed in one lil book. Lyla Sage's stories are quick reads, likeable characters and relatable (ish) story arcs. This is a quick read and will tick the boxes for romance novel fans.
NetGalley provided the ARC (thank you!), opinion is 100% mine.
Couldn't have been better! We've been waiting for Teddy and Gus from the get-go and Lyla Sage did not let me down. They're pure electricity together, nonstop bantering with a side of battery acid. And the transition from hate to love isn't as quick as other novels, which I quite enjoyed. This book made me tear up (no small feat). They were just so dang perfect for each other!! Oh my god and the Twister scene? The mechanical bull? The flash back, It's hot as hell and I can't wait to listen to the playlist on repeat while I wait for Wild & Wrangled.
Lost and Lassoed is the third title in the Rebel Blue Ranch, written by Lyla Sage. This is a small town, boss/nanny romance with a little bit of grumpy/sunshine thrown in for comic relief.
Format: NetGalley ebook
Genre: Contemporary fiction, Romance
Spice level:🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Teddy (FMC)⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Nanny/Clothing line designer
Gus (MMC)⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Rancher
This book is an interconnected, stand-alone title, each book in the series has its own couple. I have not read the first two books in the series but I was not lost in the story.
After Teddy loses her job, she is coerced into becoming a nanny for Gus’ young daughter. Neither of the main characters are happy about the arrangement, but they both know they need the help. I really enjoyed the love/hate relationship between the two main characters! You could just feel the chemistry and connection sizzling between them.
I completely understand how vulnerable Teddy felt with Gus regarding her father’s health issues. I loved how she was not afraid to share her feelings with him.
I don’t know if it was intentional, or just a happy accident, but there was a slight Gilmore Girls reference from one of the lines in the book!! So cute!
Y’all, Chapter 25!🥵
Overall score:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thank you to NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this title!
I liked this but I didn’t love it. Enemies to lovers is never my favorite and it’s because I feel like there’s just suddenly a switch . Also this felt very similar to another cowboy romance book I’ve read
wow who woulda thought a cowboy dilf with a breeding kink and a loud smartass redheaded woman would be the sexiest couple to ever exist (me. i did. since the first time they ever interacted)
thanks netgalley for the arc but i will now be needing an arc of wild and wrangled desperately
Thank you to Dial Press and NetGalley for an eARC in exchange for my honest review.
Lyla Sage just keeps getting better. Gus and Teddy’s story might be my favorite of the Rebel Blue Ranch series, and I’m already impatient for the next one!
The tension between Teddy and Gus is DELICIOUS! This was an absolute page turner for me, I actually had to slow myself down! I was tempted to devour it but decided to stretch it out over a few days so I could enjoy it longer.
Lyla Sage is an auto buy author for me, I am in love with her banter, character development, and sweet, sexy love stories. The whole Ryder family has my heart!!
Ever since reading Done and Dusted, I’ve been wanting to read Teddy’s story, and I have to say that it does not disappoint. I’m so happy to get to know her character more as well as Gus’ character. The romance was honestly my favourite from the series, and I loved the couple so much. 10/10 would recommend!
This was absolutely perfect in every iteration of the word. There's something about Lyla Sage's writing that sucks you in and you just don't want to put the book down. It feels like coming home truly.
I was highly anticipating Gus and Teddy's story and it was everything and more I hoped for. The romance, the found family, the descriptions -- I loved everything about it and I already can't wait to reread it.
A new favorite book of all time for sure!
I'm so so thankful for the early copy!!!
GID-DY UP. Lyla Sage just knows whats going on. 10/10 spice, 10/10 plot, 10/10 book. I am totally in my cowboy era this summer and I absolutely adored this book. I wish that it was coming out sooner but I will be gushing about Gus Ryder until furhter notice.
I overall really enjoyed this addition to the series. Teddy and Gus were wonderful to read about and see their relationship develop. Teddy was one of those characters that felt show stopping in such a small town. I did think there was almost a slightly too fast turnaround when they got together, but otherwise the relationship developed pretty well. I thought their engagement came too quickly, but that may just be my opinion and it's possible that the characters were ready for something like that towards the end.
I liked how confident Gus felt about their relationship in public; he never felt the need to get super jealous of other men because he knew Teddy was his. He made it so Teddy could continue shining while he just enjoyed the view.
Surprisingly, one of my favorite aspects of the book was Teddy and Emmy's relationship. I felt that the conversations they ended up having were very mature. The characters did feel like there was a strain on their relationship, so I was glad when they spoke about their issues and gave each other space to consider. They both obviously want whats best for each other.
Where do I even begin? Lost and Lassoed by Lyla Sage had me staying up late just to finish chapters and had me smiling at my kindle screen. Best friend’s brother, nanny and single dad, forced proximity and enemies to lovers. What more could you ask for? I fell in love with Gus and Teddy and how their relationship fell into place. I will be buying a physical copy of this book because, yes, it was just that good! Everyone needs to keep their eyes peeled on November 5, 2024! Anxiously anticipating a book about Dusty and Cam next!
Thank you to NetGalley and Random House Publishing for sending me an eARC
This series is so cute. This third book is light and a quick read. All of the books have a happy ending, and it's fun to connect all of the characters between each. The author does a great job developing the characters in a short amount of time. There are longer books where the author "tells" instead of "shows" the reader--Lyla Sage avoids it. Lost and Lassoed would make a great beach read or a palate cleanser after something heavy!
I’ve been waiting for this since book one 🤩 as always, Lila did not disappoint. I could not put it down. Even when I was supposed to do homework, Teddy and Gus were far more important. 🥰

When I saw this pop up on NetGalley I almost lost my mino with anticipation waiting to get approved! But I did and let me tell you I have thought about nothing but these two for DAYS! @authorlylasage brings us right back to Rebel Blue and hands us another love story for the ages.
I'm still gathering my thoughts but I see soooo much of myself in Teddy and just love her as a character and I'm so glad she finally got her love story. I can't wait for everyone to love these two as much as I do!
