Gus and Teddy stole a piece of my heart and carved their name on my soul right next to Lemmy and Wada. I took forever to finish reading this book because I never wanted it to end. I savored every word, clawing at my heart and scrambling for a way to imprint this universe into my skin. There is something about Lyla's writing, this world, and these characters that scratches an itch in my brain few things can reach. 1 feel safe here. I feel at peace. I feel seen and warm and taken care of, by Lyla, by Gus and Teddy, by Amos, by Rebel Blue, by Meadowlark. One of the things I have loved the most about getting to read both Swift and Saddled and Lost and Lassoed is the way Lyla pushes on our initial impressions of these characters, and makes them so much more full and nuanced and complex than what our knowledge of them from the previous books would suggest. She adds depth in such a meaningful way that challenges my initial understanding of them but simultaneously feels so true to their characters when I stop and think about it. It's masterful. And what she did with Gus and Teddy blew me away. These two FIT in ways I couldn't have predicted but made complete sense and fell together so naturally. Like puzzle pieces. Sharp edges that fit together seamlessly. They are what each other needed to desperately but couldn't put a voice to. They're far more than what meets the eye as individuals and together, far more than the bickering rivals we loved to see hate each other in books 1 & 2. Getting to know these two in the realest, rawest forms was beautiful and healing and fun and tender.

Fabulous romance novel of a hero and heroine who overcome their fears and find love! The characters of August/Gus and Theodora/Teddy were so like-able and hilarious in their enemies to lovers plot. It was a poignant love story with a single dad and his daughter. I think the love story was compelling and sexy! Also the plot about Teddy’s dad being seriously ill and her love for him was poignant and touching storytelling. I have not read Lyla Sage’s other books but this makes me want to read them all! Giddy up and read Lyla Sage for a galloping romance!!

Thank you for this ARC!

This is the third book in the Rebel Blue Ranch series and I think they just get better and better. We follow Teddy and Gus as their relationship goes from hate to love; I enjoyed their character development and their banter with each other. Like the other books, some parts can feel a little cliche but overall it’s a solid plot and writing. I look forward to the next story and seeing what else this author will create.

Absolutely adore this series and devoured this book #3. Every character is well written and the banter is wonderfully fun. You care about everyone in the book and cheer for the single dad/little sister's best friend and the love/hate relationship the entire time. Add an adorable six-year old that needs a babysitter for the summer and you have yourself a good read. Highly recommend this book and can't wait for the next installment.

Thank you to NetGalley for sending me an e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Lost and Lassoed by Lyla Sage continues her slam-dunk Rebel Blue Ranch series with a bang! I've been anticipating this story for a while, as the dynamic between Gus and Teddy have been building for two books now and needless to say, it did not disappoint!

The elements of the series that I love: the family dynamics, female friendships, small town vibes, continued in book three. It truly was so good to be back at Rebel Blue Ranch. And the witty banter and chemistry between our two leads was really engaging and fun. I could not put it down and read it in one sitting.

Overall, I gave this book a five star rating and I think at this point we can say that Lyla Sage is the standard for cowboy/western romances. You won't be disappointed picking this book up, so add it to your TBR!

FINALLY! I feel like I have been waiting for this from the moment I started reading this series. Teddy and Gus have tons of on-page chemistry in the first two books in the series, and we finally get to focus on them in this one. I was surprised by how sweet and thoughtful this was when I was fully prepared for it to just be a total hate sex fest. They were locked in a closet together in the first chapter and I was like "here we go!" but Lyla Sage knows how to slow the burn down while still giving readers what they want, so there was a great setup here. Teddy Andersen's world gets shaken up unexpectedly when the owner of the boutique for which she works sells the rights to the store name and closes up shop. She's feeling completely lost and doesn't know where to go next. Gus Ryder (a literal grumpy Gus) is struggling to single parent his daughter Riley for the summer while his co-parent, Riley's mom, is away for a legal internship. When Gus starts letting things slip, his sister Emmy suggests that he needs to get some help. Riley loves Teddy and vice versa, so Gus reluctantly agrees to pay Teddy to move in with him for part of the week to help him care for Riley. We finally learn the reason for their long-term enemy status (a hot kiss many years prior that Gus told Teddy to forget about), and we see their sniping at each other start to boil over with their close proximity. Their chemistry was wild and I'm amazed that Sage was able to make this so satisfying after a two book buildup. I loved being back at Rebel Blue Ranch, though there was a bit less talk of day-to-day ranch stuff in this one than I remember from the other two. The focus was really on Teddy, Gus, Riley, and their families. I loved this and can't wait for the next book in the series - the cliffhanger and excerpt from the next book have me regularly checking on release dates!

Very cute cowboy book! Single parent is one of my favorite tropes! This one is easily one of my favorites out of this series!

Lyla sage does it again ! I loved reading about Teddy and Gus. It was nice to see Gus in a different light. I've always loved Teddy but getting to be in her POV was a treat. I love that lyla can make the reader really connect and get attached to her characters. I want to be apart of the rebel blue family. 😭

One of the sweetest and spiciest modern day cowboy series. This was the one we were waiting for and it delivered everything! Excited to read #4!!!

This book will capture your heart.

Teddy and Gus don’t get along. Unfortunately for Gus, he can’t manage the life of a single parent for the summer without some help. Unfortunately for Teddy, she’s lost her job and needs some time to regroup. Gus hires Teddy as his nanny and they start to see each other as they truly are beyond their adversarial relationship.

I just loved watching this relationship change and grow. Really seeing how they come to understand just how alike they really are and a little peek at why they are so adversarial to begin with. They come to realize that maybe, just maybe, they can rely on someone besides themselves to shoulder some of the load. Gus has lots of green flags going for him, not the least of which is not trying to stifle who Teddy truly is in the world.

This was one of my most anticipated reads of the year and it did not let me down. I knew from the beginning that Teddy and Gus would be my favourites of Rebel Blue Ranch!

At this point Lyla Sage can do no wrong. The characters of Rebel Blue Ranch are like family and I want to spend more time with them. Lost & Lassoed is the story I was waiting for. Teddy and Gus are two of my favourite characters and their explosive chemistry and banter have been highlights in previous books. They certainly do NOT disappoint, and their love story is utterly charming and memorable. I can't wait to get my hands on a physical copy in November.

Thank you #Netgalley for the arc!

I've liked all of Lylas books so far so I'm not surprised that this one was just as great! They read so quickly and I appreciate that.

What's not to love about an enemies to lovers, grumpy x sunshine cowboy romance? Lyla Sage does such a great job building out the characters while adding the perfect amount of tension and spice.

Lyla Sage has done it again! 👏🏼 (but was there ever really any doubt) The third installment in the Rebel Blue series is hands down my favorite so far. And I had called this back when Done & Dusted was released, like the instant we met Teddy & Gus I knew it in my bones. All that patience paid off, friends. THE WAIT IS/WAS WORTH IT.

Literally every single time Gus called Teddy "Theodora" or anytime they told the other to "fuck off" added actual years to my life. my skin is clear. 😂 my depression = cured. 🤩 Grumpy single (cowboy) dad will never not slap. Without really spoiling anything, I loved that we finally find out more about where the animosity between these two came from and why they've had this insane chemistry the whole time. Respectfully, I didn't find these two insta-lovey at all. I've been waiting since book 1, y'all!! 😤 (lol)

Anyways, reading this book 5 months early (and in less than 12 hours) felt a lot like winning the lottery. Thank you endlessly to Corina @ Dial Press & netgalley for the eARC ♥️ all thoughts are my own!

"roll with the punches, Teddy Andersen. And punch back if necessary"

Thank you to Netgalley for an e-arc in exchange of an honest review!

honored to have this as my 69th book of the year. I'm not a big enemies to lovers fan and Gus and Teddy have never been my favorite characters in the books, and yet this became my favorite in the series??? I giggled, I cried, I gasped. There were such sweet and tender moments and the challenges Gus and Teddy must face individually are so real and evolves them as characters but also their relationship. It's so cool seeing how much better Sage's writing is getting with each of these books. Also, the ending??? I cannot be more excited for the last one!

Eeek!!!! I was so excited for this book, I’ve been swooning for Gus since we first met him. And I was not disappointed! This gave me everything I wanted except I wish it was LONGER! I loved their relationship and Riley! It was just so cute, I would have liked a more slower burn but overall I think it was a great and my favorite in the series!

Thank you so much Dial Press for the eARC!

This was a wonderful addition to Lyla's Rebel Blue Ranch series. Teddy and Gus have such strong chemistry and they were fun to follow along in this book. An enjoyable enemies-to-lovers romance and my favorite of the series thus far!

Okay, so this is my favorite from Lyla Sage so far HANDS DOWN! I love a grumpy single dad, and Gus is the ultimate grump! BUT he is balanced out so well by Teddy who is full of life. And of course, as the story develops, the two realize that they have a lot more in common then they thought. I also loved seeing Emmy and Teddy's relationship develop throughout the book as they grow. Riley is also adorable and I love seeing Gus and Cam co-parent so well together. Overall, 10/10 book! I can't wait for the next one!
