Romance books with heart are my favorite read. The enemies to lovers in this felt so well earned. Teddy and Gus snipping and taking digs at each other fueled my love for each of them. There was this intimacy between them, with Teddy taking care of her dad and Gus being a single dad that gave the story strength. But also, Teddy was such a strong character, her personality and her internal struggle is written so well that I as the reader couldn't help but want to keep reading. I had a feeling there wasn't going to be a third act breakup, and there wasn't, but it didn't make the story fall flat. It felt very natural to their relationship. The image and illustration between Done & Dusted and Lost & Lassoed has shifted and expanded so much, and I could see the growth in storytelling from the author. This was 10 out of 10 for me. And the cover being so gorgeous, I cannot wait to have this on my personal shelf at home.

I mean... the cover alone sold me on this book. In addition to it being the third book in one of my favorite series, the cover definitely had me itching to read it.

For two books now, we've swooned over Gus and his single-father broodiness. Seeing him and Teddy slowly fall in love despite insisting that they "hate" each other was so sweet.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for a digital copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

I waited so long for Teddy and Gus' story! and I'm not disappointed! When it does not beat Wes' storyline, the character felt more 3D compared to the first two books. Gus is actually tired and prideful as heck ( not a spolier for the latter lol). Teddy is falling into the shadows and withering away like all poets. Their bond is founded on understanding and compassion,

So, a quick recap for this series so far would be this:
Wes and Ada - solid 9/10
Gus and Teddy - 7.7/10
Emmy and Luke - 5/10

Happy reading!

Gus and Teddy's story was well worth the wait! I knew since DONE AND DUSTED that Teddy and Gus were going to serve us the most amazing story and Lyla Sage nailed their explosive chemistry. Teddy has the biggest heart and getting inside her head made me realize how much I see myself reflected in her character. Her emotions and feelings were so real and valid that it had me tearing up at how relatable it was. Gus was also amazing and I loved finally getting into his grumpy head. Gus and Teddy's connection was deep and rooted in understanding each other's responsibilities and the burden, hardship, and loneliness that comes along with wanting to be dependable for the one's we love. I love that they took care of one another and learned to be the pillar of support the other needed. This book was an absolute smash for me and if you're going through a Chestnut Springs withdrawal and missing Willa and Cade, look no further because this book will fill that missing space in your heart.

Oh my goodness, Lyla Sage, the woman you are. I adored this book. This is my favorite. I loved the dynamic between Gus and Teddy and Teddy's relationship with Riley. I cannot wait to read more by Lyla!

I really enjoyed this book and I've been waiting for this tension to come to a head. I thought the pacing of the book was a little strange. The ending felt really rushed and abrupt, while other parts I felt were taking too long. I'm excited for the next in the series!

In the words of my husband while I was reading this book, “you’ve never read a book of her’s that you didn’t love, have you?”
No. No I haven’t. And Lost and Lassoed is no exception. In fact, every book Lyla writes gets better. Writing Wes/Ada’s book before Teddy and Gus baffled me at first. “She set up so much tension for them in her first book?? Why skip them!” I questioned. Oh me of little faith. Lyla was just tightening that string further and further until we just couldn’t wait for it to snap!!! Mission accomplished!

I love Teddy’s vivacious personality, who doesn’t, let’s be real. But her vulnerability and searching for “what am I supposed to do with my life!?” Is so relatable for me and other late-20-something year olds when everyone else seems to be buying bigger houses and popping out babies.

Gus, as much as I love you for your chaps and mustache, I love you even more for how good you are to “your girls”. Swoon. Is single dad creeping into my top tropes? I think yes.

I laughed out loud multiple times, and finished this book in like 36 hours. Worth every second. The only complaint is now waiting for the next book.

All hail Lyla Sage. All hail Diet Coke.

Thank you Net Galley for the ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This book was so much fun. This is the couple who I have been waiting to read about ever since I picked up Done and Dusted! The tension, the banter, the spice, everything was just exactly as I hoped it would be. I will definitely be recommending this book to everyone once it comes out!

Thank you Dial Press for the ARC. I will be back with a more coherent review but this is the BEST of the series so far!! Teddy and Gus forever have my heart. The hate to love was so so good and the addition of Riley, Gus's daughter, added so much life to the story, especially when she was meddling without realizing (twister). What I loved even more, was Teddy's special relationship with her father Hank. Their moments were so sentimental.

Read if you like:
-Enemies to lovers
-Best friend's brother
-Single parent x summer nanny
-Grumpy cowboys
-Small towns

ONE MILLION STARS. A BILLION. A BAJILLION.

This book is ROCK fucking JASMINE! We've been waiting for Teddy and Gus from the get-go and Lyla Sage did not let me down. They're pure electricity together, nonstop bantering with a side of battery acid. And the transition from hate to love isn't as quick as other novels, which I quite enjoyed. This book made me tear up (no small feat). They were just so dang perfect for each other!!

Oh my god and the Twister scene? The mechanical bull? THE FLASHBACK??? It's hot as hell and I can't wait to listen to the playlist on repeat while I wait for Wild & Wrangled.

And the chapter for Dusty and Cam at the end? The way I screeeeeeamed!! My heart is not ready for Rebel Blue to end.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC.

I really enjoyed this book! It picked up a lot in the second and half, and I LOVED it! Teddy and Gus have a great story! Can't wait for the next book by Lyla Sage!

Such a lovely book. Honestly like, these surpass a normal romance novel with no plot and characters that don’t matter. This has become one of my favorites series & Lyla Sage is a fantastic author. I read all three of her books in anticipation for her coming to my store for an event in July and I am over-the-moon-excited to meet her. A true shame I don’t have this as a physical ARC because I would love to have her signature in all three.

I have been waiting for Gus and Teddy's book since I started the series. I also loved the bits about Teddy's dad. So good and I can't wait for the next one!

This book was so good I have a standing Mercari search for a Coach 9970 bag because I have a desperate need to *be* Teddy Andersen.

With no background in Lyla Sage's work, or in the Rebel Blue Ranch setting, I wasn't sure what I was getting into. What it turned out was: finding a new favorite author (and a new series to backread!).

Teddy and Gus mean the absolute world to me. As someone who grew up with a single parent, and was exposed to the... sometimes chaotic world of Adults Dating, when I found out Gus had a young daughter, I admit I was a bit nervous. It's always tough for me to see an Adults Dating situation with a young kid and feel positive about it, because it can so often bring turmoil to the child. The way that Sage depicted Teddy and Gus's relationship -- with each other, and with his sweet daughter -- brought tears to my eyes. Teddy and Gus come together because of their shared love for his daughter -- something so incredibly powerful and moving that this became one of my favorite romances... ever.

Sage does an absolutely expert job with this novel and I am SO excited that she has a backlist I can add to the top of my TBR. Thank you, Random House, for the opportunity to read and review an advanced copy, and for introducing me to an incredible author in Lyla Sage. Feel free to send a physical copy -- I'd truly cherish it forever.

In the much anticipated next installment in the Rebel Blue Ranch series follows Gus and Teddy, or as they call each other in annoyance August, and Theodora. Growing up on the same ranch, constantly circling and verbally fighting each other since Teddy could talk, the last thing an overworked dad Gus wants to do is allow Teddy to become his daughter's babysitter for the summer. But seeing each other in a new capacity makes them realize that they may not hate each other....

An excellent cowboy romance - it was exactly what I was looking for. Everyone’s favourite combination of enemies-to-lovers quips and tension with the tender sincerity of some heavy pining.

Lyla Sage's third installment of the Rebel Blue Ranch series is full of heart and charm. I fell for Teddy and Gus and loved the specificity of Teddy's relationships with Riley and Hank. Cam is a new favorite character and I can't wait for her adventure in book 4.

There's more depth to this book than meets the eye. The sexytimes are bodice-ripper quality, the characters are realistic, and descriptions make me feel like I'm right there in the story. This is the first book of Lyla Sage but I'm a devoted reader now. I can't wait to see what happens next at the Rebel Blue Ranch. Oh, and Wyoming is now in top spot for future vacation destinations...

So far I’ve really enjoyed this series. Although moments of this book felt rushed in comparison to the slow burn these two had in the b plot of other books, I had a great deal of fun and enjoyed reading this.
