Lyla did it once again. Teddy is a girly that you simply can’t hate. She is so sure of herself, but also so loving and caring and Gus has a hard exterior but has a soft spot for Ted. I love them together and love her and Riley going on a wildflower scavenger hunt the whole summer, it was so beautiful! Also, Teddy and Hank have such a beautiful relationship that reminds me of my family and it was so wholesome to read! Loved it, can’t wait for Wild and wrangled!!!

This is book three of the Rebel Blue Ranch Series and it surely did not disappoint! This small town, best friend’s brother, enemies to lovers, single dad romance is a must read. The Gus and Teddy banter plus all former beloved characters will have you hooked.

I will come stay in the cozy universe Lyla Sage has created anytime I am invited! I love Rebel Blue Ranch, in Meadowlark, in the Rocky Mountains. Sage's characters are FUNNY, her depictions of the landscape are lovely and flowery without being overdone, and the love and care she's put into the characterizations and their relationships (romantic and platonic) with one another is really delightful to read. I liked Swift & Saddled a lot but I was happy to get more Teddy and Emmy in this installment.

My brain really appreciated what Sage did with the Gus and Teddy arc. Based on the first two books, Gus and Teddy don't make a lot of sense for each other, we just know they're both hot and they don't like each other so our seasoned brains knew they were going to fall in love. The reasons why they make sense were illustrated slowly and beautifully, even though I do wish we had more moments of just the two of them bonding as people, a few more tension-filled moments would've put this over the top for me.

The other problem I had was how heavy handed the "past incident" was hinted at, only to be an incredibly disappointing reveal. I wish we either didn't get the flashback chapter or it had been something with more interesting.

These books have all been absolutely incredible and I am CLAMMORING to get my hands on Cam and Dusty's book after that sneak peak.

What a treat it is to be transported back to Rebel Blue Ranch! This slow burn enemies-to-lovers romance will have readers racing to the end. Thoroughly enjoyed. 4 Stars.

I flew through the first two books in the Rebel Blue Ranch series, so needless to say, I was thrilled to receive an ARC of the latest installment, LOST AND LASSOED! I've been so excited to see how Teddy and Gus's story unfolds, and it did not disappoint. The two may hate each other (or at least, that's what they claim...), but this summer, they're forced to accept each other's help. Teddy is in need of a job, and Gus can't take care of the family ranch and parent his 6-year-old daughter, Riley, alone. At first, Gus grudgingly allows Teddy to step in—after all, she's the only option he has. But soon, the two begin to realize that they might have misjudged each other, that they're actually a little more alike than they initially thought...and that new feelings just might be brewing between them.

LOST AND LASSOED is a wonderful addition to the cozy, calming universe Lyla Sage has created—and my personal favorite in the series so far. I always enjoy an enemies-to-lovers romance and the best friend's brother/brother's best friend trope, and Lyla does a great job of combining those elements in this story! I adored the romance between Teddy and Gus. They're both so busy trying to take care of everyone else in their lives, and are both such passionate and fiercely loyal people, especially when it comes to the people they love, that they sometimes forget to prioritize themselves, and it was so sweet watching them accept the love and care they deserve from each other/finding that comfort in each other. Beyond the love story, I also appreciated how the story delves into some other important themes. Struggling with feeling left behind in life, feeling distant from a best friend and wondering if your relationship isn't quite the same anymore, having a special bond with a parent and worrying about their well-being, all of these are such real, complex things people experience, and were handled really well throughout. Additionally, I love the role strong familial relationships play in this series, and LOST AND LASSOED continues to spotlight those dynamics, particularly the father-daughter relationships—from Gus and Riley to Teddy and Hank. The author's note was such a beautiful addition to this whole concept, and it was truly special to read about Lyla's relationship with her own dad, and how that bond influenced her whole writing process and certain storylines in the book.

There was really only one (minor!) qualm I had, which was the pacing. I wished we got a few more moments of Teddy and Gus bonding, so the buildup of them having feelings for each other was a little more drawn out/gradual. I also felt like the flashback of an event that affected their relationship in the past (trying not to be spoilery here) didn't totally fit their narrative. Maybe other readers will feel differently, but I didn't necessarily think it needed to be included, and thought their relationship and backstory had enough depth without it. Otherwise, I loved LOST AND LASSOED, love this couple, and cannot wait for book 4! Thank you to NetGalley and Random House/Dial Press for the ARC.

LYLA SAGE THIS IS MY NEW FAVORITE OF HERS SHE OUT DID HERSELF! If editors, publishers, pr, or Lyla herself sees this I am begging you to just go back and fix a few grammatical errors (extra punctuation marks) and a few mishaps (saying it's a Wednesday but then saying it's a Tuesday in one chapter) I say this with the upmost love because I LOVED this book and I hope it prints perfectly because I will be purchasing a physical copy when it comes out.....look I will even re-read and make those corrections for free

Sizzling finale (or is it?) to the Rebel Blue Ranch series. We finally get the story of Teddy and Gus. Each book leading up to this has just increased my absolute adoration of single dad and utterly lovely grump, Gus.

Simple set up - Gus needs help and Teddy doesn't have a job...so guess who steps up and helps? But this story is so intricately layered in romance, steam, slow burn, and sass that its just delicious from page one.

Fantastic interactions between the two leads and great catchups with previous characters. Absolutely adored this one but at this point, I'd read anything Lyla Sage wrote. AMAZING!

4 stars for Gus and Teddy!

I read Swift and Saddled and fell more in love with the side characters than I did the main couple, so I came into this book a bit apprehensive, but I loved Gus and Teddy's story! Gus needs a babysitter for the summer while Cam is out of town, and Teddy needs a job after the boutique she worked at closes. Neither want to work together, but their friends and family conspire to make it happen.

Their banter was hilarious and while the book is short (less than 300 pages) it was a well-paced slow burn. Gus and Teddy both love hard and are fiercely protective of their loved ones, so they made sense as a couple. And Riley . . . she was just adorable.

The writing was a lot better in this book (less paragraphs of super short sentences), whereas in S&S sometimes it felt stuttered and took me out of the story. There wasn't any of that here. I do wish we could've gone a little deeper into the characters - a lot of Gus and Teddy's personalities were shown in previous books, but I feel like the author leaned on that a bit instead of going deeper in this story. I also missed a scene where Teddy shared her confusion/disillusionment/feelings of stasis with Gus so he could've said 'you're Teddy fucking Andersen' and made her feel better. He thought those things, and Teddy thought about her issues, but no actions were taken by either side, which could've been nice to deepen their relationship. Instead Teddy never really shared her problems aloud with Gus or Emmy, though she helped Gus work through his. I definitely think the book could've been longer to include more on Teddy's side.

Overall this was a fun story and I hope we get plenty of glimpses of Gus & Teddy in Cam & Dusty's book!

Will always be a sucker for the grumpy rancher single dad x sisters best friend turned nanny trope

Did this book have me weepy and wishing for a dad half as caring as Gus, Amos, and/or Hank? Yes.

Did I cry when Em and Ted were forced to acknowledge the changes in their friendship? Absolutely.

Lyla u are so real for thanking Bruce Springsteen and Pearl Jam in your acknowledgements. I want the Hank and Amos book is what I want.

More than anything I am feral and gnawing on the doorframe waiting for Cam and Dusty’s fuckin book

I was checking NetGalley daily for weeks anticipating the release of this ARC. To say I was looking forward to Gus and Teddy's story is an understatement. Often times, when you anticipate something this much, there is an inevitable let down. Not so here! It had me kicking my feet and grinning like an idiot. Lost and Lassoed is a mix of all the best tropes: enemies to lovers, forced proximity, best friend's brother/sister's best friend. I have really enjoyed this series and I am looking forward to book 4, which I will also be stalking NetGalley for.

My thanks to NetGalley and Random House for access to an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

"Lost and Lassoed" is Lyla Sage's best book yet! After being teased Teddy and Gus's story in the previous books I have been anticipating this read all year. Teddy and Gus have the perfect dynamic for a romantic enemies to lovers. The banter between them had me laughing out loud and kicking my feet. My most favorite part of the entire series though has to be the family dynamic between all the characters in the books. Eagerly waiting on the edge of my seat for the next one!

The BEST, most anticipated book of the Rebel Blue series is here!!! I jumped at the chance for an eARC of this book. Thank you, NetGalley! I enjoyed this book so much. It was sweet, funny and sexy. I was nervous to read this after not loving "Swift and Saddled", but as many readers of the series know, we have been waiting for this story since book one. I think because Gus and Teddy always stood out in the first 2 books this one sucked me in right away.

"Lost and Lassoed" follows the grumpy, but loving August "Gus" Ryder and the wild, but loving Theodora "Teddy" Andersen. Despite their families being close, they never have been. In fact they seem to loathe each other, but do they really know each other? Gus and Teddy are both at a crossroads this summer and in need of support. When Gus is in need of some help with his daughter, he gets some unexpected and unwanted help from Teddy. Despite their issues with each other, they both love Gus' daughter Riley. And I am sure many readers can see what will happen with Gus and Teddy from here.

I will definitely be reading this book again after publication. I read this in one day while traveling. I kept wanting to pick it back up after each stop. I enjoy that these stories never have a true act 3 break-up. The characters know who they are and don't let other influence them. Can't wait for book 4!

Another super ADOREABLE read from Lyla Sage. I just eat these right up, they are so fun.

I loved Teddy and Gus, I think they just fit. It was so fun to read about them and get to know them more, as they were my favourite side characters in the first two instalments of this series.

Sage is officially an always read author for me!

For everyone who has been waiting for Gus and Teddy's story since three pages into the first book in this series, it's finally here, and it's mostly worth the wait. These two clearly belong together, but how they navigate their newly realized attraction will determine if they can work it out.

The most frustrating part here is the same as the first book for me. When the sibling and best friend of the love interest finds out that their respective sibling and best friend are together, they react very badly. Like irrationally, would a normal person ever do this in the 21st century, time to grow up you're in your 30s badly. In this case it's Teddy's friend/Gus's sister who hits the fan about something that is, frankly, not her business. At least this version has less misogynist overtones than when Gus got so angry in the first book about his sister and best friend dating.

That said, it's nice to revisit this idyllic Wyoming ranch and I look forward to the fourth book.

Thanks to Netgalley, the publisher, and the author for the ARC to review. All opinions are my own.

Lost and Lassoed may just be the best book of the year. Lyla Sage is continuously outdoing herself. Teddy and Gus are quite possibly the most anticipated couple in the Rebel Blue series and Sage did them JUSTICE. Their story is so beautiful with a hint of angst.

This was really cute! I adore the covers on this series and they really make the whole book come together. My biggest complaint with the book was that their "longing" didn't last long enough. I felt like they very quickly switched from annoyance with each other to love. Obviously that's the outcome I wanted, but I would've appreciated more of the "oh no I think I like him/her" bit.

Y'all...should I buy a pair of cowboy boots? Preferably red ones.

I'm love that I'm living through a cowboy romance resurgence! This series is so entertaining and I love all of Sage's characters. I'm honestly impressed I can be swayed by a single dad romance trope since it's typically not my vibe. Now I'm kicking myself for reading this arc so early. Because now I have to wait even longer for Cam and Dusty's story.

GUYS THIS WAS SO GOOD!!! This was my favorite book of the series thus far… and no one is more shocked about this than me (I don’t typically vibe with single dad x nanny romances ever)… but something about their tension (which has been hot and heavy since book 1), their banter (which was honestly god tier), and their connection just had me giggling and kicking my feet while reading this. I read this so fast because I couldn’t put it down every time I picked it up.

I did not think I could love a couple more than Wes and Ada but Gus and Teddy ATE

ARC copy given to me by Netgalley and Random House in exchange for an honest review.

Gus and Teddy's romance has been built up BIG since the beginning of the Rebel Blue Ranch series and I'm so excited to finally be able to see it come to life. I am a sucker for the 'Loathe to Love' trope and this one was no exception. He's grumpy and uptight, she's got a knack for getting in trouble and yet they just work? I live for it.

This was one of those romances that left me emotionally raw by the end. Because it's not just about Gus and Teddy. It's also about the relationships Teddy has with her family and his, and vice versa. I related to Teddy a PAINFUL amount and it's in part because of how she interacts with her dad, Emmy and Riley. It made her relationship with Gus seem sweeter, knowing she's been around the whole time and he's just now noticing. In fact, one of my favorite parts of this book is bearing witness to the village that's raising Riley and I hope we see more of that in the future books.

That's not to say the romance wasn't absolutely incredible. There was just something so heartwarming about Gus and Teddy and how they came to realize that they can find comfort and care in one another. I loved seeing their relationship bloom and will be frothing at the mouth for any hints of their relationship in book 4.

Lost and Lassoed was on my TBR as soon as I finished Swift and Saddled. I have enjoyed this series and getting to know the Ryder family.

In this book, we see Gus struggling to do his work on the ranch and also be a full-time father while his daughter's mother is out of town for the summer for a job. He is convinced by his family to get help watching Riley (his daughter) for a few days a week. His sister Emmy recommends her friend, and Gus's "enemy", Teddy since the place she was working has closed down and she could use the work.

Gus and Teddy have never gotten along and now she's living in his house a couple days of the week. Through this arrangement, Gus gets to experience the joy and energy that Teddy brings to his and Riley's life, and Teddy gets to see another side of Gus.

I really enjoyed getting to read Gus and Teddy's story. This was a little more smutty than I remember the last one being, but maybe I'm just not remembering right. I will definitely be reading the next book in the series!

Thanks #Netgalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
