Thank you so much to the publisher and Lyla Sage for not only letting me read this advanced copy, but also for giving me the copy so quickly!

I will say, this isn't my favourite couple of the series. I think I am a sucker for Emmy and Brooks too much, but that being said, I could easily see this being a fav for many people. The dynamic between Teddy and Riley was out of this world adorable, and I completely get why Gus was falling for her just from that. The flower scavenger hunt was possibly my favourite of their activities together.

Gus and Teddy were a hilarious combo I will add! I truly love the "shut up" "make me" style of relationship, and they definitely excelled at that. The romance was not quite as fleshed out as I would have liked, I think I wanted more casual scenes of them bonding on the page rather than them having one or two and then mentioning that it becomes routine. Overall not my favourite from Lyla but I will always keep coming back for her books!

I knew after reading Done & Dusted that when we got Gus & Teddy's story, they would somehow become my favorite. And they did. I ate this book up- finished it in one sitting. I couldn't put it down. Gus & Teddy (and ofc little miss sunshine Riley) have my whole heart. This book made me laugh, cry, and kick my feet. And it's everything you'd hope to read in a cowboy romance. I can't wait for more.

I wanted to love this and I wanted it to be better than Swift and Saddled, but it once again didn’t hit the mark for me. The plot didn’t feel like it was fully built out or developed. It was very predictable (which I don’t mind when there is still character growth, tension, drama, somethingggg), but this was honestly so boring to me and they just kept having the same conversations.

There was no depth to these characters. I still know nothing real about Teddy or Gus - what were their motivations? Their relationship feels very contrived and gave me completely platonic vibes with a side of “they’re hot”.

There were a few good moments sprinkled in that kept me going, but I’m starting to think Done and Dusted was a one hit wonder because I absolutely loved that book. I don’t see myself continuing this series.

I inhaled this book! I have been waiting for Gus and Teddy's story and it did not disappoint. I will be doing a re-read of this one and buying the physical copy when it comes out. Lyla Sage is becoming one of my favorite romance authors and I can't wait for her to turn out more masterpieces.. Being a liberal California girl through and through, I had no idea how much I would love a cowboy, but boy do I! Keep turning out cowboy material, Lyla! Please and thanks.

The way I love rebel blue should be insane, Teddy and Gus are absolutely my favourite couple out of this whole series. They both share the same values of being there for your family which allowed them to understand each other on a level that shows what a perfect match they are, even though they bicker like cats and dogs. At some points the book does feel a little rushed and some topics are just brushed over like his dyslexia but overall the growth of their relationship and within themselves was shown. This book did not disappoint. Thank you so much for this arc

This book was incredible. It was funny, spicy, and everything I could have wanted. The characters were nice and realistic. Absolutely perfection!!!

Swoon. This author is just getting better with each book. Lost and Lassoed is totally funny, totally spicy, but also surprisingly earnest and decent. Like genuinely nice characters that make messes but then clean them up with love and kindness. Again, swooned, got a little teary, swooned again. Perfection!

4.5 Yeehaws 🤠😆

This is my favorite of the Rebel Blue books. Gus and Teddy’s constant need to dig at each other made me laugh constantly. I’m so glad for the opportunity to review all of the ARCs in this series so far—they’re such a gem! Cowboys in my area are more like farmer cowboys and we don’t make them like Lyla does in these books, but she’s converted me to cowboy romance haha

My biggest qualm was some pacing issues. They went from bickering to banging quicker than felt believable. Technically they spent the whole summer together so it wasn’t instalove, but it felt that way at times. Just a little more build up and it would have been perfect. My other qualm was just me being picky about some spice stuff.

Teddy and August have known each other their entire lives. Teddy is best friends and maid of honor to August’s sister Emmy. While throwing jabs is at one another is normal they both find a need for each other when both their lives take some unexpected turns. Can’t wait to read the next Rebel Blue book.

THESE. TWO. Honestly, every time I go back to Rebel Blue, I want to leave less and less.

I started my Lyla Sage journey as a way to fill the Elsie Silver sized hole in my heart, but now I love her just as much for her own merits.

Give me more of this, please.

Teddy and Gus....Gus and Teddy....*sigh* I am not often a "five star review" kinda gal. But this one? FIVE. WHOLE. STARS.

Lyla Sage has done it again (and again!) with the third installment of the Rebel Blue series... and dare I say, this one may be my favorite. There's just something so GOOD about Gus and Teddy. As a "daddy's girl" myself, I was already all up in my feels reading about the love between Gus and his dad and Teddy and hers. And then - I had to go and read Lyla's tribute to her own father at the end of the book... mop me up, because I am a PUDDLE!

Lyla Sage writes a beautiful story of what it feels like to be left behind....When the whole world seems to be moving forward but you're in slow motion....When the people you're closest to seem to have outgrown you. There was just so much goodness in this book!! The themes of love and friendship and family were woven into Teddy and Gus's story so effortlessly. I loved their banter - it was just the right amount. Enough to keep it spicy and funny, but not so much that it become annoying. I think my favorite part about their banter and jabs at one another was that they were never mean-spirited or hateful. They were sassy and snarky, but never crossed the line into hurtful territory.

And what a fun surprise to find out... THERE'S MORE! Cam and Dusty - bring it on. But a little warning - you've got big shoes to fill with after Teddy and Gus.

Thank you to NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group - Random House | Dial Press Trade Paperback for the ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Teddy + Gus!!

I've been waiting for this book since Teddy and Gus's antagonistic relationship was introduced in book 1 and I am so happy to say that this book didn't disappoint!

On the surface Lost and Lassoed is a loathe to love romance about two characters who are seemingly opposites but at their core far more alike than either cares to notice or admit. Gus and Teddy are both passionate, fiery, fierce, and stewards over their people. They are the epitome of what happens when two people, who care for everyone around them, find a safe place to land and someone who is willing to see their burden and help relieve it in a way only those meant to be together can. I loved their love. it was a passionate fall, a steamy ride, and had me in tears more than once as they uplifted and supported one another.

Deeper than that though, Lost and Lassoed has a kick drum heartbeat that is dedicated to those good fathers out there and their relationships with their children. Amos, Hank, and Gus are all amazing fathers in their own way and with their own stories to tell. I believe Lyla did an fantastic job of showcasing how important children are to parents no matter what age or stage of life their children are in. One the other side of that coin she also did a phenomenal job of emphasizing the relationships children have with their parents, the responsibilities felt, the expectations they carry, and the wounds we carry when we are faced with a future they will inevitably not be in..

In the end this book is truly filled with so much LOVE. The love of a parent and a child, the love of two people who never saw it coming, the unrestrained love of a young girl who sees the world and people in a way only a child can, the love you feel joining a family, love between best friends, love for what you do, and the love you have in your heart for a place that feels like home, a place you can't imagine building a life without. Lost and Lassoed wove its way into my heart in a way very different from Done and Dusted and Swift and Saddled, but no less important.

I'd also be remiss if I didn't mention Lyla's authors note section dedicated to her own dad. I love Lyla's words, I love the little bits of her heart and her life that she shares with us readers, and I was in a tear stained puddle as I read about the love she carries for her dad and how fatherhood became the heartbeat and direction of this novel. When this book is in your hands, don't skip this section, its beautiful!

Okay, now I'm ready for Dusty and Cam to destroy my heart in the next book- Wild and Wrangled!

Teddy and Gus have hated each other for years, despite their lives being so intertwined within the small town of Meadowlark. Teddy is loud, wild, and headstrong. Gus is fiercely loyal to his loved ones, but never seen without his grumpy scowl. Both our leads find themselves facing some challenges at the start of the novel, and are convinced by their loved ones to spend their summer together by proxy of Teddy babysitting Gus' daughter Riley. As the summer passes, our leads find themselves seeing more favorable sides of their so called nemesis, and these feelings eventually build to a tender romance.

I absolutely loved how communicative Teddy and Gus were about their feelings towards one another. There were missteps of course, but they both were very open and honest about how their feelings were developing and changing. Both of these character have so much love to give the people in their life, and it was a truly beautiful thing to behold.

I adore the books set in Meadowlark! These characters have so much heart and feel so tangible. I will read any and everything Lyla Sage writes in this world!

Thank you to NetGalley and Random House for the ARC!

Omg this is my FAVORITE of the series so far! Teddy and Gus bring all their baggage and fierce feelings in this book and it’s is gold. Their banter and unwillingness to admit they have feelings for each other is written wonderfully by Sage. Of course getting to see all the favorites from the others in the series is so fun too. I will definitely be grabbing the next one too! The covers are amazing! All fans of Rebel Blue will love this one. Lyla Sage keeps getting better with the every book she writes. The only thing that kept this one from a 5 was the pacing for me, these character hated each other and refused to admit they liked each other for so long that when they finally did admit it, it moved so fast. All in all, great read!

I have loved this series since the very first book and am forever grateful to have received a copy of this eARC!

With that being said, I enjoyed this story, but sadly not as much as I hoped I would. My end rating sits at a 3.5. My feelings for this book are still all over the place and are subject to change at any moment.

Since Done and Dusted, I have been waiting for Teddy and Gus's book, knowing it would have been my favorite. And here it is and yet I'm feeling dissatisfied and unfull, like a meal that didn't quite fill you up. I'm devastated. While I still loved it, I just can't rate it any higher. I don't know why and hope that this will change. Despite the many (and I mean, MANY) grammatical errors and written problems with this book (scenes being written in present tense when everything else was past, etc), the storyline was a little flat. The errors I found just made it worse, making it feel rushed to be released while it's still popular.

Teddy's storyline is her having no direction in life. Despite my ability to relate, I feel the beginning chapters of her book can come off a very certain way. She's envious of Emmy's newfound love with Brooks and is upset that she's no longer a main character in Emmy's life. While this is very accurate in portraying growing apart/together, especially in friendships, I do kinda wish that this wasn't the direction her character went on. It kind of just felt like "well I have to write Teddy, and her main personality trait is being Emmy's friend". I love their friendship. I think it's strong and has gone through so much. Teddy and Emmy are very different personality wise, so when they're faced with conflict that threatens the foundation their relationship stands on, it is nice to see how they handle the situation and how they even each other out. There is a part by the end of the book where Emmy finds out about her and Gus and just says the meanest shit ever which made me really dislike Emmy. Like wow... that's how you feel sis? I felt really bad for Teddy since Emmy was literally her only friend, aside from Gus.

Teddy had various other factors going on in her life. Her dad who was sick (can't relate more at the moment) was hard to read about. Her tangent about everybody thinking she's fine, that she can handle it struck a nerve so deep in me that it physically hurt. The codependency that her and Gus rely on each other for was the most beautiful thing I'd ever seen (whether you think codependency is good or not I dont care.) These were two people who had no shoulder to cry on, ever, and found one in each other.

Gus was a hot, mustache, cowboy single daddy. I have been swooning over him for two books. Loving him is easy, even when he's a dick. What I thought was perfect about this book was how he continues to dish it back at Teddy even when the tides change in their relationship. It's very much a playful taunting throughout the book. I liked how he had to unload weight from his plate throughout the book, having Teddy be the person who helped teach him that. There were obstacles that they went through where he realized his workload was too much for him to carry (like forgetting his kid at soccer practice). I loved when he told her to fuck off and I especially loved when he called her Theodora.

Together, Teddy and Gus fell into a familiar rhythm, esepcially since she lived with him. They sought comfort from each other and had no reason to put up any walls since they already "hated" each other. They took care of each other, both physically and emotionally (thinking about that shower scene rn) and I do love how effortlessly they balanced each other out. It was very much Willa and Cade, the free-spirited woman addition to the very "stuck in his ways" man.

What I didn't love was the lack of description as far as the setting went. For all I know, we could have been in the city with how little the landscape was described. Sure, we knew we were in rebel blue, and every so often it would be referenced as these big mountains or whatever, but I found that the description in this department were LACKING. It would go to "the sky and the crickets and us" and that was it. Teddy and Riley did go on little hunts for flowers for Teddy's embroidery project, but those weren't in depth, either. The books are short, yes, but do they have to be? There was also this flashback chapter that I hated, hinting to a "kiss" they had in the past. Truthfully it didn't fit and wish it wasn't included at all.

While I won't say I hated this book, it definitely didn't meet the expectations I had, but at the same time, I still loved it? I related to Teddy, loved how things unfolded, but still had that feeling that something was amiss.

Cam and Dusty's book better have tension like never before... I swear.

Full review to come on Marvelous Geeks Media closer to the release date. THIS BOOK. I knew Gus and Teddy would own me and my expectations were through the roof, but somehow Lyla Sage surpasses it all. Lost and Lassoed is, without an ounce of doubt, one of the best books of the year. It's a profoundly moving treasure trove that focuses on healing, unconditional love, and how one person's belief in another could push them to extraordinary heights. Gus and Teddy are perfect—no other word suffices to underscore their individual journeys and how they come together.

Thank you to NetGalley and The Dial Press for an advance reader copy. All opinions are my own.

Thank you Random House for the Arc!

This is a lovely easy read, I thoroughly enjoyed the characters and their development. Teddys adoration for fashion and creating clothing was well-done. I cannot wait for the 4th book to come out!

I really loved this one! I have to admit, I did not like the second in the series and thought that she had set up this book better as the second, but it was worth the wait!! I’m so excited for the next book! This was perfect!

I feel like I can say this and be supported by most readers of the Rebel Blue Ranch series as this is the book we have all been waiting for.

Teddy and Gus have been common characters in the first books in the series with their banter, hatred and straight up fire works of tension between them.

Teddy is suddenly faced with her world upended when everything she thought was going her way, wasn't. Gus has taken on way more responsibility than he can handle. They are thrown together in this sizzling forced proximity novel when Teddy comes to help with Gus's little girl RIley.

Lyla writes this relationship so perfectly. I love the unexpected points added that make this story perfect. End of the story I feel like we realize that they are two sides of the same stone and made for each other.

Thank you to Netgalley and Random House Publishing for allowing to receive the ARC!
