Full review to come on Marvelous Geeks Media closer to the release date. THIS BOOK. I knew Gus and Teddy would own me and my expectations were through the roof, but somehow Lyla Sage surpasses it all. Lost and Lassoed is, without an ounce of doubt, one of the best books of the year. It's a profoundly moving treasure trove that focuses on healing, unconditional love, and how one person's belief in another could push them to extraordinary heights. Gus and Teddy are perfect—no other word suffices to underscore their individual journeys and how they come together.
Thank you to NetGalley and The Dial Press for an advance reader copy. All opinions are my own.
Thank you Random House for the Arc!
This is a lovely easy read, I thoroughly enjoyed the characters and their development. Teddys adoration for fashion and creating clothing was well-done. I cannot wait for the 4th book to come out!
I really loved this one! I have to admit, I did not like the second in the series and thought that she had set up this book better as the second, but it was worth the wait!! I’m so excited for the next book! This was perfect!
I feel like I can say this and be supported by most readers of the Rebel Blue Ranch series as this is the book we have all been waiting for.
Teddy and Gus have been common characters in the first books in the series with their banter, hatred and straight up fire works of tension between them.
Teddy is suddenly faced with her world upended when everything she thought was going her way, wasn't. Gus has taken on way more responsibility than he can handle. They are thrown together in this sizzling forced proximity novel when Teddy comes to help with Gus's little girl RIley.
Lyla writes this relationship so perfectly. I love the unexpected points added that make this story perfect. End of the story I feel like we realize that they are two sides of the same stone and made for each other.
Thank you to Netgalley and Random House Publishing for allowing to receive the ARC!
Teddy and Gus were adorable together!! I loved how crazy they were about each other and how hard they both fought to make their relationship work no matter what obstacles were thrown in their way. Absolutely enjoyed everything about this book.
Heart-melting, emotional, and authentic! And, that sizzling chemistry shouldn’t go unacknowledged! There is a wonderful romance plot threaded through the beautiful character studies. The attraction between Teddy and Gus is undeniable. They are at very different places in their life but they're also the right match to heal the other one by showing them a different side of life. I can’t wait enough for the next book already.
I've been dying for a romance novel that makes me giddy and this was it!
Gus and Teddy are at each others throats but under the surface, the tension simmers. This story did such a great job of layering in so many components, giving it more depth than most of the romance novels I've read lately. There's just something about Sage's writing style that really brings the romance to life - it's so easy to picture these characters going about their actions, and especially when they're interacting with one another. And again, THE COVERS!!!!! These are by far my favorite "cartoon covers" I've come across. Also, and this is incredibly niche/random - I love how each book starts at the dive bar. It's such a fun writing device and really helps tie the world together.

Gus and Teddy are at each others throats but under the surface, the tension simmers. This story did such a great job of layering in so many components, giving it more depth than most of the romance novels I've read lately. Teddy's relationship with her dad is a huge part of the book, but the relationships with parents throughout the whole book are so telling. The way Gus interacts with his daughter is so wholesome. Also, I am so happy with how Lyla handles the co-parenting. Gus and Cam had a one night stand (essentially) and they chose to be loving co-parents. When Teddy comes in, there's no drama between her and Cam. Cam is incredibly supportive of Gus finding his HEA. So refreshing! I usually struggle with single parents romances because they can get so toxic and messy. This was handled so well.
Gus and Teddy have such great chemistry and the spice was immaculate. I appreciated that while they both struggled to work through their own shit, there was no big miscommunication breakup. Lyla did a great job of building tension naturally.
I've been curious about this series for a while and this is the first one I've read. I'm totally going to go buy myself the rest and cry that I have to wait for Cam and Dusty's story.
Thank you so much Netgalley for the ARC!
Thank you NetGalley and The Dial Press for this e-arc!
Lost and Lassoed is where we finally get the couple we've been waiting for: Teddy and Gus. Teddy and Gus have a long history of hating each other, even though no one really knows why. Teddy gets on Gus's last nerve whenever they're in the same room and Teddy loves to get on Gus's last nerve. When Teddy loses her job unexpectedly and Gus has to learn how to be a single parent when his co-parent is out of town, the two are forced together for a match made in hell. However, the more time they spend taking care of Gus's daughter, the more they realize they work better together than they thought.
Another swoon-worthy, kick your feet romance from the wonderful Lyla Sage, full of heart-throbbing and steamy romance. I never want to have to say goodbye to Rebel Blue Ranch! These people are my friends and family, I'm already wondering how to plan a trip there to visit my favorite people!
I've enjoyed this series from Lyla Sage and I think her writing improves as she continues to write these. The character work was great and she had you rooting for the couple even when they disliked each other. Overall, an enjoyable read.
I absolutely adore this series. The cover art is always perfection, and the story does not disappoint. I was patiently waiting for Gus and Teddy's story, and now I have to patiently wait for book 4!
What to say. Lyla safe is an unsung hero. She gave us the perfect cowboy family that we didn’t even know we were looking for. The way everyone loves and supports each other is exactly what we want to read. Teddy has been my favorite since book 1 and I’m so happy she finally gets her love story. Gus is so cute and grumpy and he deserved to be loved as fiercely as he lives everyone else. 10/10

Two already beloved characters in the Rebel Blue Ranch series become even more beloved as they move from enemies to lovers (in what is now my favorite book of the series and one of my favorite books of all time). I personally never thought I would be saying that about a cowboy romance, but here I am. It’s a book fans have waited for and in no way will be disappointed by. Lyla Sage keeps getting better and better, and this book is a testament to that. Through witty banter, forced proximity, and one adorable kid, Sage proves that true love is as fierce and as it is gentle. The reason myself and others love enemies to lovers is the idea that someone can see all of you and still want you. Gus and Teddy have already seen the worst parts of each other, but throughout Lost and Lassoed learn that maybe they aren’t so different after all, and that what differences they do have make them even more compatible. They learn that what they’ve been waiting for their whole lives was perhaps right in front of them the whole time.
I have waited since done and dusted to read this story and it did not disappoint. It actually was better than I ever imagined it could be!
I cried at these two falling for each other. It was vulnerable and warm to read them let their walls down. Also spicy!!!! The spicy scenes were everything!!
Thank you for allowing me to read this title early!
So good. Love all storylines. I just wish Amos and the siblings were more involved. Very nice lead up to the next book.
I have loved all of Lyla Sage's books so far and her Meadowlark characters are loveable and relatable. This book focused on single dad Gus and Emmy's best friend Teddy. Both characters were fun and grew throughout the book and series as a whole. In general, I don't love the single dad trope, but I felt this one was done well without the father looking like a fumbling child. Can't wait for her next installment!
I've been waiting for Teddy and Gus' story, and it did not disappoint!!!! Their chemistry was off the chart, and I loved how they gradually became friends and fell in love. I definitely wanted more of this story and wish it was a bit longer, but that just shows how good it is. Very excited for the next installment!
I love a good enemies-to-lovers romance. Teddy and Gus hate each other and their lives overlap so much there's no escape--that in itself is comical. This book will make you laugh but it will also make you cry. Lots of heavy relationship issues, well written. Loved all the cussing. My only complaint is Lost and Lassoed is too short. This cover art is everything. Big thank you to NetGalley for an ARC. How am I supposed to handle waiting for Wild and Wrangled?!!?
Lost and Lassoed by Lyla Sage is my favorite in the Rebel Blue Ranch series so far. I was very excited to read about Teddy and Gus and this book did not disappoint! I got the eARC on a Friday and spent that evening and the following morning reading it. I could not put it down. It was fun, funny and full of heart. The characters are well developed and Lyla Sage knows how to make you care about all the characters. The storyline was engaging, the writing was well done. Overall, a very fun and well-written cowboy romance novel. I will definitely be recommending his book to everyone looking for a good time.
The way I’ve been waiting for this one…. Submitted my request, and read it the same day I received approval. Love this little world Ms. Sage created and can’t wait for Cam’s story.
