Oh this book, since the beginning of the Rebel Blue Ranch series i was WAITING for Teddy and Gus to explode and man was the wait worth it, This book hit home for me in sooo many ways, Teddy's feeling of being 'left behind' by Emmy felt like Lyla had gotten into my own personal thoughts and feelings, Im said that this series is coming to a close but so happy to see what's coming next!

Yee haw! It was so fun to see Teddy and Gus fall in love after seeing the sparks between them in the Done and Dusted. I loved the hate to love relationship and the added dynamic of Riley, Gus's daughter.

I’m not horsing around when I say this book is a masterpiece!

“Lost and Lassoed” follows Teddy Andersen, an aspiring clothing designer, and Gus Ryder, her best friend’s older brother. The only thing they have in common is how much they hate each other. But when Gus’ workload starts to overwhelm him, Teddy is the only person who can help take care of his six-year-old daughter. Tempers flare, tension builds, and for the first time ever, Gus and Teddy start to see each other in a different light. As new feelings start to simmer below the surface, they must decide whether or not to act on them. Can they keep things cool? Or will both of them get burned?

Gus and Teddy’s relationship has been hinted at since book 1, so I highly anticipated their love story. Let me tell you that Sage went above and beyond all my expectations! She totally delivered!

Both characters are similar in that they take care of people—their families and their friends. When it comes to being cared for, however, they struggle to ask for help. Teddy, for instance, feels left behind as she watches other people, her best friend included, move into new phases of their lives and feels like she cannot confide in anyone about her fears (this is something that hits closet home for me). Gus is too stubborn to depend on others despite suffering under the weight of trying to be a father, son, rancher, and brother all at once.

With Teddy agreeing to be Riley’s part-time babysitter, they strike up a truce and discover just how alike they are. Their romance is a slow burn that drove me crazy, but there is nothing I wouldn’t undergo for them! I couldn’t get enough of their banter, the moments when they took care of each other, and the way they just fit!

I can’t write this review without obsessing over Gus’ daughter Riley! I love that this story is bigger than just Gus and Teddy. At its core, “Lost and Lassoed” captures what it means to love the people in our lives with our entire being. That love manifests itself in the way Gus and Teddy both care for their friends, their family, and of course, for Riley. Riley’s character brings a sense of joy that alleviates some of the more heartbreaking moments of the novel. I love her relationship with Gus, Teddy, and her mother Camille throughout this book. Their family is not considered “conventional,” but the one they formed is perfect all the same!

“Lost and Lassoed” will definitely join my list of favorite books of all time. I can’t wait to get to “Wild and Wrangled” after the massive cliffhanger the epilogue left on!

Lyla Sage knocked it out of the ball park for the romance we have all been waiting for. Perfect foes to lover romance. Emotional and relatable. With a good amount of spice thrown in 😉

Lost and Lassoed by Lyla Sage - Rating: 4.5

With her best friend’s new engagement, Teddy is having trouble adapting to the changes. Everything seems to be going wrong around her. She feels her friendship drifting away, loses her job, and even her sewing machine breaks. Teddy has always been confident and self-driven, but suddenly she feels left behind. Trying to manage her own emotions, the last thing she needs right now is to interact with her best friend’s brother, Gus. But the annoyance is mutual; he has his own troubles to deal with, from his father’s ultimatum about the ranch to his parenting being questioned.

Teddy needs a job, and Gus needs help. There’s only one solution for both of them: let Teddy be Gus’s daughter’s nanny.

Will they survive without killing each other, and will old flames reignite?

When I tell you that this book was so good! It was a breath of fresh air in the middle of all my spooky reads. I was craving romance and this book delivered. You might know the characters from Done and Dusted and they finally have their time. The banter was spectacular! I couldn’t stop reading and laughing at these two. Probably my new favorite book from Lyla Sage.💖

Tropes:
✨Single dad x Nanny
✨Enemies to lovers
✨Best friend’s brother
✨Grumpy x sunshine
✨Forced proximity
✨Slow burn

This book comes out on November 5, but you can preorder now!

Huge thanks to Netgalley and Lyla Sage for the ARC💖

Lost and Lassoed is the third installment in the Rebel Blue Ranch series and it is my favorite. I've always wondered about Teddy and Gus's history from the beginning, and Lyla delivers. I relate so much to Teddy in the fact of feeling stuck and how everyone around her is moving on to different stages of their life. When you are in a situation like that it is easy to feel left behind. I think Lyla portrays this feeling so well with Teddy's character. I've also always loved the friendship between Teddy and Emmy although they both find their own happily ever after they are each other's person. I can't wait to read Wild and Wrangled and see how Lyla brings this world to a close for us.

Lyla I love you and your cowboy romances until the end of time. You could write the exact same story and swap the names out and I'll be giggling and kicking my feet like it's the first time I'm reading it each and EVERY TIME. This one is my favourite I think. We got our sass, our spice, our enemies to lovers romance... this one really just dug itself into my skin and stayed there. Then throw in the single father trope? HOOKED. BOUGHT AND SOLD. I'm such a sucker for this formula it will never not lock me in.

I was SO EXCITED for this installment, and I am so grateful for the chance to have read the ARC!

I knew Teddy and Gus had a Thing ever since reading the first book, and this installment just had me cackling and squealing out loud! I loved their banter so much, but I also loved how their relationship slowly shifted.

Also, someone going through a lot of changes like Teddy, I can totally feel for her when she was floundering and feeling like she was floating adrift... Girl, same!

Absolutely loved, and will be recommending!!

LYLA SAGE AND REBEL BLUE RANCH I ADORE YOU. Without hesitation I can say this was my FAVORITE book in the series. Teddy and Gus gave me every single thing I was hoping for and gosh I just love them. And don't even get me started on Riley. An angel. I loved following their journeys and their time together. It was all so beautiful and thought out and I just loved it. Cannot wait for the next series. Thank you for the ARC!

I JUST WANT TO BE SHIPPED TO REBEL BLUE AND LIVE THERE FOREVER. This was one of my most anticipated books of the year and it did not disappoint. I have enjoyed everything that Lyla Sage has put into the world. Her writing is truly just pure sunshine. I was waiting for Teddy & Gus since book one and truly couldn't have enjoyed this more. THE AUDIO IS INCREDIBLE. Lyla crafted such a perfect small town enemies to lovers with this one. I also just cannot explain how much I enjoy being able to return to the characters we know and love in Rebel Blue. Not only do you get the romantic story but you get to see a real and honest friendship play out between Teddy & Emmy. Also, THAT ENDING? GIMME Wild and Wrangled RIGHT NOW.

The Rebel Blue Ranch series has been my first foray into cowboy romance. I loved Done and Dusted, but haven’t felt the other book stacked up in comparison. That said, I was excited to read this installment because Teddy has been one of my favorite characters.

I enjoyed learning more about her: her art, career, relationship with her dad, and her sisterhood with Emmy. She’s a well thought out individual and I felt like I could relate to her. The love that develops between her and Gus was sweet and felt right, but one thing annoyed me deeply and it was the constant reminder of their dislike/hate for each other. After a couple chapters of it, it felt like being smacked over the head repeatedly. We get it, they’re enemies to lovers. I’d have liked more story and less convincing of the trope.

Lyla set things up for the next book well though, and the ending had me heated for poor Cam. I’ll still come back to Rebel Blue because I’m invested in the characters and their escapades.

I love this book. I have been waiting for Gus and Teddy's story and I was not disappointed!! it was the perfect mix of antagonism and love. Riley is the perfect child character and I loved Gus and Cam's co-parenting skills. I wouldn't change a thing about this book!!!

My favorite of the series so far! I loved Teddy and Gus so much. The grumpy/sunshine trope is just enough that it doesn't come across as cringey. Each character is so well-drawn that you cannot help but root for them to work and be together. Lyla Sage books are quickly becoming automatic buys now :)

Absolutely loving this series! It’s grumpy x sunshine, single dad x nanny, has dyslexia rep and the cutest moments between Teddy and Gus’ daughter Riley. I didn’t really get Teddy and Gus’s dynamic at first, but by the end I was absolutely LOVING them together, I highly recommend! Pick this one up for a cute, spicy small town/cowboy romance read!

Like always I will trust Lyla Sage with my reading forever. I typically avoid single parent books, but Sage once again proved me wrong. I adored this book and Teddy and Gus were everything I could have hope for in MMCs. Their baggage, growth, and general personalities make it impossible not to adore them both. I also loved that their teasing adversarial banter kept up even after they got together (I am always a bit bummed when it mellows after they get together, but not here and it was *chef kiss*). I also loved the weight that Teddy and Emmy's friendship was given, it felt real and honestly might be one the first times I've seen in a romance book that the friendship is has a full complex plot and break than the romantic couple, and it felt right for these characters. There is also the very real themes of father-child relationships, and it really is an ode to fathers in the best way. Like I said, I will forevermore trust Lyla Sage because she took a trope/theme I don't even like and made it into one of my favorite books of the year. I will read whatever she wants to write no questions.

Big shout out to @thedialpress for the chance to read an early copy! I'm not gonna lie, I was devastated when I found out Teddy and Gus’s story would be third in the series. But it was worth the wait! What a perfect book. These two have out-of-this-world chemistry and every single time Gus said "Teddy baby" I thought I might keel over!! I can't wait for the audiobook to come out, I just know it's going to be amazing! Easily one of the best books of the year!!

My Thoughts:
Teddy and Gus are now my favorite Rebel Blue couple! I haven’t read a true enemies to lovers in a romance book in a while! I truly loved how their story unfolded. Seeing them go from hating each other to caring for each other had me on the edge of my seat. I was swooning and giggling throughout the entire book! And we can’t forget about Riley. I love that kid so much! Watching Teddy and Riley’s relationship grow was well thought out, and Gus’s reaction to seeing the two of them together warmed my heart. Definitely my favorite from the series by far!

“I like you,” he responded.
I let out a laugh. “No, you don’t.” When I said it, he held me tighter.
“I do,” he kissed the top of my head, “But I’m not sure I get it yet.”
“Me either,” she whispered.

I loved this book so freaking much. I have been obsessed with Lyla Sage, and this series, and I was not let down with this book. The tension was amazing and she did such a good job of keeping that fiery banter after they got together. I assumed that their teasing and jokes about each other would stop once they got together, but the fact that they kept doing it made so much more sense to me. Sage did an amazing job of taking elements of their old relationship where they hated each other and intertwining it with their newfound love and comfort found in each other. I enjoyed how this book was not all about their relationship, it was also Gus finding a balance with Riley and running the ranch, it was diving deeper into Teddy's relationship with her father and Emmy, it was Teddy finding herself in a way, in Gus and Riley and all the amazing parts of Rebel Blue. All in all, this book was perfection and I cannot wait until the 4th book is available to read. No notes, 10/10 perfection. Thank you Lyla Sage for this masterpiece.

In the newest addition to the Rebel Blue Ranch series, Gus Ryder and Teddy Andersen must make the most of a tough situation. With her dad’s illness and her best friend’s engagement, Teddy is feeling out of sorts and lost in regard to her future. Gus is also struggling; managing the Rebel Blue Ranch and being a single father for the summer is not working out very well. Despite both their concerns, the Ryder family has a solution: Gus and his daughter Riley need a helping hand, and Teddy needs a steady job. With proximity comes rising tension and smoking chemistry, but will Gus and Teddy be able to put aside their history and make this summer work?

A few things I loved: Riley and Teddy’s relationship, hardworking mustachioed cowboys, enemies-to-lovers tropes, truly different siblings that make each book in the series unique, cowboys, and more cowboys. A few things that didn’t work so well for me: the very fast building relationship and the revelation of Gus and Teddy’s first kiss... which seemed very significant when it was alluded to previously, but then turned out to be kind of a ‘meh’ backstory. Will read the next book in the series (sneak peek included), because who can pass up a hot cowboy romance??

3.5/5

I have been waiting for Teddy and Gus' story since the first book in the Rebel Blue Ranch series and Lyla Sage did not disappoint. The journey from enemies to friends to lovers had such depth and made you truly feel like you knew the characters.
