Lost & Lassoed is Lyla Sage’s third instalment in the Rebel Blue Ranch Series and by far my all time favourite. This book was everything for me. I inhaled it in one sitting and haven’t stopped thinking about it since. If you haven’t yet read her first two books go to do so right now before L&L comes out on November 5th.

Ladies & gentlemen, THIS book is how you write an enemies to lovers.

Enemies to lovers is my all-time favourite trope and I am always so picky with what I enjoy. This book was everything I could have wanted & so so much more.
This book gave us EVERYTHING we could have wanted from Teddy & Gus.
Throughout the story I found myself lost in their journey. They went from loathe, to hate, to tolerating each-other, to liking each-other and finally realizing that they are everything the other wants.
THE ANGST THOUGHHH enough to last you a life-time. Teddy & Gus made me so damn emotional. I was rooting for them since book 1 and I just devoured everything about them.

Throughout their journey, we get to know Riley, Cam, Dusty, Amos, Hank and many other characters that just bring this story together to make it a perfect small-town. Every character brings something invaluable to the story. And of course the cameos of Emmy, Brooks, Ada & Wes was just *chef’s kiss*

The love between Hank and Teddy was everything I could have wanted from a Father-Daughter duo and it made me so so emotional.
Having recently lost my dad seeing their love shine just brought me all the emotions and I absolutely loved every second of it.

Again, thank you netgalley & Lyla Sage for providing me with an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

Since I first metaphorically set foot on Rebel Blue, I have been waiting for Gus and Teddy, and they did NOT DISAPPOINT.

This loathe to love, best friend’s brother story hit all the right notes and was everything I needed. Sage’s characters are so real they just leap off the page, and that was no exception here. The spice was spicing, but I really appreciated the slow and steady emotional connection they developed even more. These two are just everything to me.

This is a pefect romance novel! Enemies to lovers isn't always my thing but it is well done here. Teddy and Gus have hte perfect amount of snarky bickering because they've always desipised each other. But their friends & family talk them into Teddy babysitting Gus' only daughter for the summer. This is forced proximity at it's finest!

I loved everything about this book from start to finish. It was fun to be back on Rebel Blue Ranch and see characters from the other books. All of them together make a great group that loves and supports each other, even when things are difficult. Teddy is caring for her ill elderly father, which hits home for me right now so I really liked her and related to her.

The novel is funny and sexy, everyting I want from the genre. I highly recommend this series but you have to start with the first book (Done & Dusted. )

As I say every time I read a book by Lyla Sage, I have no notes. No notes except how much I love these books. I've been waiting for Gus and Teddy's story since book one, and this did not disappoint. I loved watching them bicker back and forth, and how their relationship slowly evolved.

I also can't say enough about Teddy and Emmy's friendship in this book. They love and respect each other so much and it's beautiful.

Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC!

OK OK OK HERE FOR GRUMPY GUS AND TEDDY BABY!!!

Why did I wait so long to read this???? I ADORED this book and finished it in one sitting. Truly can’t get enough of Gus, Teddy, and Riley 🥰🥰🥰🥰

It’s got everything: enemies to lovers, best friend’s brother, single dad, cowboys, small town vibes—soooo good!!

And the spice was good too 😏 It was a bit of a slow burn (gotta wait til halfway through the book), but when it happens, it HAPPENS. Definitely 4/5 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

(Thank you, Random House Publishing Group and NetGalley, for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.)

I’ve been waiting for this story. Waiting. And /it/did not disappoint, my only disappointment is that I can’t read it again for the first time. Gus and Teddy had a believable relationship, and I would’ve liked even more flashbacks or inclusions of their lore, but I don’t think the work suffered without it either. Watching Teddy go through growth during an incredibly difficult period in her life was also very inspiring. These characters have a nice little corner in my heart, for sure.

I am a late-ish convert to Lyla Sage's Rebel Blue Ranch series, but Lost and Lassoed really brought me around. This is a fun, sweet, sexy romance that will entertain with its larger than life characters. It's trope-y (grumpy/sunshine, enemies-to-lovers), but isn't that what you want in a romance? The situations are just this side of believable - but, hey, I don't live in a Wyoming ranching town, so what do I know? Overall, a fun, fast read.

I've been waiting for Teddy and Gus since I got crumbs of them in Done & Dusted and they were worth the wait! Teddy being a mirrorball character and knowing how she recognized who she was all the time versus who she didn't have to try to be with Gus was great to read and understand their chemistry much better. I think their build-up could have been slower and their one incident in the past shouldn't have been added, it felt forced with no real background to it. Also, the ending!!?? I can't wait for the next one, but I wish we got more of an epilogue for Teddy and Gus rather than an introduction to the next book.

Thank you The Dial Press for the eARC!

Lyla Sage has done it again! I am obsessed with this book! I have been patiently waiting for a Teddy and Gus book and it did not disappoint! It is my favorite book in the series! I read this book in 24 hours and seriously considered taking a day off of work to finish it (that is how good the first few chapters are). Teddy and Gus are two perfectly imperfect people who were made for each other. If you are a fan of enemies to lovers, best friends brother, single dads, and cowboy romances, this book is for you. The banter between Teddy and Gus as well as the softness they bring out in each other is everything. Thank you NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group for an early copy of Lost and Lassoed! I will probably read it 100 more times before the next Rebel Blue Ranch book is published in April!

This book is a really fantastic follow up to Sage's previous two books in the serious. It builds upon the world of Rebel Blue Ranch, allowing readers to revisit the characters they learned to love at the ranch. We get to know Gus and Teddy better just as they get to learn and understand more about each other. Where Swift and Saddled was more cautious and tender to match the personalities of the characters, in this book we got to see two fiery personalities reveal their softer sides, and the tone of the book was built to match. Another fun, enjoyable journey to the world of Rebel Blue! It delivered everything I'd want from this kind of romance book.

5 ⭐️’s FOR MY FAV BOOK OF THE SERIES!!!! This book made me feel loved + safe. Being back in meadowlark felt like being back home. I laughed, I cried, I swooned. I love these two so much. A story about love + hope. This one is for the girlies who have the best dads in the entire world. I happen to be one of them. 💚💚

I confess: I've been a little hot-and-cold on this series. It's always nice to see a contemporary story with Western trappings that isn't full of misogyny and racism, and I've really enjoyed some of the characters/dynamics -- but then there are other characters/parts of the stories that just falls really flat to me, or at least doesn't live up to the promise of the set-up. But, I'm happy to report, this one was a winner for me! I already knew I liked Teddy, thanks to her previous appearances, and I liked the single-dad-with-a-spunky-daughter aspect of Gus. Plus, I'm always a sucker for enemies-to-lovers and forced proximity. All of that combined made for a thoroughly fun read, and has revitalized my interest in the Rebel Blue Ranch series.

5/5 stars

i will never be able to get over this book! the banter, the lore, the way they just get eachother! ugh! i can’t.

tropes:
- enemies to lovers
- single dad x live in nanny/babysitter
- found family
- small town romance
- cowboy/rancher romance
- witty banter
- forced proximity
- he takes care of her 🥲
nickname: teddy baby & theodora (derogatory)

something about this just feels so personal and i just feel so connected to teddy. the way she describes the feeling of being behind and unwanted is just something i’ve never been able to articulate. i’ve always felt like i was alone in this feeling, that i was dramatic and sensitive; teddy taught me that i wasn’t alone.

i hope this book reaches all of the teddy’s out there, i hope you feel seen, heard, and represent in her (she’s a funny bad ass too so she reps us well). i wish i could give her a hug the way i’ve always needed; i hope this book feels like that hug we’ve needed.

ok i need to stop being sappy. also gus has a moustache and is a single dad who has his worst ‘enemy’ live with him to take care of his kid so WE BALL!! gussy and theodora oh how i love you!!!

thank you to thedialpress & penguinrandomhousecanada for the free #gifted copy of lost and lassoed!! this—as always—is completely honest!

By far the best freaking book in the series (and that’s saying a lot because I was in love with the last one)

I honestly could scream from rooftops about my love for this book. My heart is so full. It was so perfect. I LOVEEEEEE GUS & TEDDY SO MUCH. They’re both so real & relatable, and so meant for one another but you don’t really realize it until you do!! And my god their sexual tension was fcking crazy! I ate it up!!!!! There are so many key moments that stuck out to me. Romantically, the bar moment was IT!!! You’ll know what I’m talking about. But friendship wise, the convo between Emmy & teddy made me tear up 😭 it reminded me of me & my best friend & I loved it.

I love being back in rebel ranch & honestly I feel like I’m a part of the family okay😭😭 there is so much love among these pages & just wow.

If you love grumpy sexy cowboy daddies with a dirty mouth and a big ole heart, & creative, hot, sassy, wilddddd redheads who can hold their own against anyone, then put this on your TBR STAT!!!!

Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️
Book type: audio (thank you PRH audio)

Tropes:

Lost and Lassoed
⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thanks so much to @thedialpress for the free eARC!

Look! It’s another cowboy romance for your TBR. This was a short and sweet read if you are looking for a quick romance. If you’ve read the other books in this series, then you know that this one followed Teddy and Gus.
I was a bit cautious going into this because Swift and Saddled was not my favorite… but this was enjoyable.
This has the enemies-to-lovers vibe, but I will say that I thought their reason for “hating” each other to that extent was a bit ridiculous.
I liked the banter between them when it bordered on flirting! I also really liked the dynamic between Teddy and Gus’ daughter. Their friendship was adorable.
I will say that there are some similarities between this and Heartless by Elsie Silver… it’s not identical but I could definitely point out a few things that were the same… Heartless was a five-star read for me.
This was sweet, but once it hit like 60% things really sped up and felt rushed. I felt the same way about the last book too.
So, in conclusion, I did not love it, but I did not hate it. I think if you are a diehard Lyla Sage fan, you’ll eat this book up. I think if you are looking for a quick romance read, then this will meet your expectations as well. So, definitely still check it out when it releases soon on November 5th!

Lyla Sage books never fail to make me feel at home. The Ryders and co, Rebel Blue and Meadowlark are so welcoming and comforting, being back in this small town was such a treat and I absolutely devoured it.

Gus and Teddy’s story is so sweet. If opposites attract, Gus and Teddy are two magnets put end to end, pushing against each other until they realize their similarities make them understand each other better than anyone else could.

I felt so much of Teddy’s journey. I loved getting to know the inner workings of the firecracker that she is, but as an independent, only child, who’s felt behind in life like Teddy; this one zeroed in on my heart a little too precisely.

I read this book so fast and it was exactly what I needed. It’s coming home, finding family and discovering your unique place in the world.

Another great story from the Rebel Blue Ranch! Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC of Lost and Lassoed by Lyla Sage.
I really loved the relationship between Teddy and Gus. Their whole vibe was totally believable and it was a fantastic escape for this city living mom of three.
