I was so happy that the next book in the series was Teddy and Gus’ story. The chemistry between the two was palpable and was just ready to boil over. I was glad that Lyla went into the backstory of why they hated each other. I wish there would have been more about Teddy’s new job and more with her dad but am aware that there is Cam’s book coming out and we may see more of Gus and Teddy in it. Overall, the story was great and the love between Gus and Teddy was great as well as the relationship between Teddy and Reilly.

Thank you NetGalley and Dial for the arc.

I have been rooting for Gus and Teddy since Done and Dusted and this did not disappoint. I loved every minute of this and devoured it in 1 day. Of the 3 books in the series I felt that this one had the best writing yet!

My one very small qualm was the pacing was kinda quick.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ 4.5/5

Thanks to NetGalley for this ARC. 5 stars and 4 chili peppers for spice. Gus and Teddy are everything! This book has all my favorite tropes: enemies to lovers, forced proximity, and single dad. I also love that if you have read the first two books you already got a clear picture of Gus and Teddy’s loathing for each other, so this book didn’t have to take a lot of time describing their dynamic. I also love that Gus is really a closet softie at heart. Totally loved this book!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an ARC.

All I can say is that Lyla Sage has done it again. Teddy and Gus were everything that we have been waiting for and DID NOT DISAPPOINT.

Lost and Lassoed is the third book in the Rebel Blue Ranch series, and it didn’t disappoint. This story follows Teddy Andersen and Gus Ryder, who have known each other since childhood. Teddy is best friends with Gus’ sister, Emmy, and though she has always appeared to be a tough and free-spirited, she also has a soft heart underneath her joking exterior. Teddy is fiercely loyal, caring for her father and everyone around her, but she often hides her vulnerability behind her sharp wit.
Gus is a dedicated single father who has been juggling the responsibilities of his family’s ranch along with raising his daughter, Riley. When his ex, Cam, has to leave town for the summer, Gus finds himself overwhelmed. Emmy and the rest of the Ryder family persuade Gus to let Teddy help out with Riley, and while Gus is initially hesitant, Gus knows Riley already knows and loves her.
The story deepens when Teddy's father has a heart attack, a moment that changes the dynamic between Teddy and Gus. Gus has already started to see beyond Teddy's tough exterior, realizing how deeply she cares for those around her, especially his daughter. Meanwhile, Gus struggles with his own sense of responsibility, always feeling like he needs to take care of everyone, but for the first time, he starts to consider what he truly wants in life—possibly a future with Teddy.
Lyla Sage does a great job blending heartwarming romance with deeper emotional undertones. Teddy and Gus's story is engaging, filled with chemistry and tension that keeps you rooting for them. It's a charming cowboy romance that also explores the complexities of family, responsibility, and love.
Overall, Lost and Lassoed is a fun and sweet read that leaves you excited for more from the Rebel Blue Ranch series. I’m giving it a solid 4.75 out of 5 stars.

Lost and Lassoed by Lyla Sage

“Tell me Teddy… baby. Can I touch you like this?”

Lyla Sage, the woman that you are. Everyone wants to judge me for reading western romances, but nothing will keep me from reading every single one of the books in the Rebel Blue Ranch series. You have effortlessly caused me to fall in love with three cowboys. I'm a sucker for a single dad x nanny romance.

“August Ryder. Are you offering me a mustache ride?” “Saddle up, baby.”

The tension between Gus and Teddy had been building for 2 books, so once we got into Lost and Lassoed things heated up pretty quick. Sage didn’t make us wait long for the tension to break. There were a few things said between the two main characters that made me think that the spice would be a little different.. kinkier. I’m still very happy with what this book gave me though.

Lyla Sage gets better and better with each book! LOST AND LASSOED was the perfect enemies-to-lovers cowboy romance. I'd recommend this author and series to anyone looking for a quick, delightful read that will get them out of a slump!

I'm definitely in my cowboy romance era. I've read no less than 7 cowboy romances in the last couple months and I'm a SUCKER for grumpy/sunshine. Gus and Teddy are exactly that.

In the first Lyla Sage book, I immediately hoped there would be a Gus/Teddy book. The "hate" between them was so perfectly done. I loved how complex their story ended up being -- especially because everyone saw Teddy as a happy-go-lucky girl who was always sunshiny and happy.

The support that Gus shows her when she has chaos in her life was so comforting.

Their love story is my favorite Lyla couple so far. When you know, you know.

Every book in this series has been my favorite as I was reading it. I have to say though, this is my favorite in the series.

Gus. Oldest brother. Single dad. Eventual leader of Rebel Blue Ranch.
Teddy. free spirit. designer. Daddy's girl.
They've hated each other since that night. The one neither or them speak about, and are still trying to forget.

Gus needs a part time nanny. Teddy needs a job, and direction. Enter Riley. Gus's daughter as a result of a one night stand. She is staying at the ranch for the summer, and needs someone to look after her.
Teddy moves in part time and Gus is just not happy..
I enjoyed the progression from hating each other, to not hating each others company, to then spending the evenings together.
The snarkiness though, is 10/10
I loved how well they sparred with each other. As someone full of sarcasm I love to read characters that share that trait with me.
The father/daughter dynamics in this book are wonderful. Its nice to read for once that the dads are involved and invested. Riley as a little girl, then Teddy as an adult.
The story building kinda took some of the spicy bits place, and I'm not even mad about it.
Lyla Sage has also been added to my auto TBR list and I'm definitely not mad about that.

This is the third book in a series of interconnected standalones of small-town/cowboy romances. Lost and Lassoed features Teddy, the best friend of the first book's FMC, and Gus, who is the brother of the second book's MMCs. This is an enemies-to-lovers romance. I appreciated that the book is short and to the point without detouring into too many filler subplots. One downside to the length however is that the relationship progresses too quickly. I would have preferred another chapter or two devoted to developing the transition from enemies to lovers: it felt like we went from hating to committed relationship at an unbelievable pace which gives this instalove vibes.

Verdict: If you enjoyed the previous two books in the Rebel Blue Ranch you'll likely you'll enjoy this one as well. There's nothing groundbreaking here, but it's a solid choice for readers looking for short enemies-to-lovers cowboy romance.

This book will be published on November 5, 2024. Thank you to Random House - Dial Press Trade Paperback for providing me with an advanced copy of this novel via NetGalley.

If you can't go to Wyoming, at least you have the Rebel Blue Ranch book series! Lost and Lassoed is the third book and it may just be the best. We've seen the tension between Gus and Teddy building throughout the other two books and now we get to see their story unfold - and it was worth the wait! Enemies to lovers. Close proximity. Brand this book with whatever romance trope you want, just make sure you pick this one up as soon as it's available!

I completely devoured this series. I have been waiting for Teddy and Gus's story since the first time they interacted in the first book, and this did not disappoint. I loved their story, obviously, but the moments between Teddy and Gus's daughter were so sweet. And, of course, Amos playing matchmaker is still the best part of this series. Lyla Sage has created such a rich world with all of these characters and the setting.

The Rebel Blue Ranch series might be my favorite romance discovery of 2024 and this has so far been my favorite in the series, although I am EAGERLY anticipating the next book because second chance romance is a great trope and I have loved all the little pieces of Dusty and Camille's story dropped into the last few novels. Gus and Teddy had a lot of chemistry, and I loved how their relationship developed and that they were able to recognize in each other that they would do anything for the people they love. Obviously really excited for the next one *cough**cough* please netgalley...

Everything I wanted it to be and more. Teddy and Gus are perfection together and I adore their little family with Riley. I also freaking love Hank and need more of him/Aggie in book 4. Already ready to read it again.

3.5 🌟 I enjoyed this!! I loved being back at Rebel Blue Ranch as always, and I loved getting to see so much of Teddy’s character. I always loved her in the other books. I loved how fierce and determined she was to do well for herself and her dad. Their relationship is the sweetest. I also absolutely loved the female friendship dynamics between Emmy and Teddy in this book. One of the biggest highlights for me. I could never really connect to Gus as a character overall :(

My favorite part of Teddy and Gus is how they bicker and banter and I felt like that was lost in this book. This one felt very insta lovey to me so I just really didn’t buy into their romance and that made me sad!!! For me, it felt like they were suddenly in love and then nothing much happened after that.

Not a bad book at all, just not my absolute favorite and that’s okay. Very thankful to the publisher for the arc! I can’t wait for the next book, that epilogue had me sweating!!

Thank you NetGalley and Random House for this ARC! Lyla Sage has me in a chokehold. I love the entire Rebel Blue series, but this book is my favorite by far! The forced proximity enemies-to-lovers best friend's brother combo is just too good for words. Lyla's ability to transport you to the beauty of Rebel Blue is unmatched. I want that life so bad it hurts. Teddy and Gus's story is delicious and sweet, and I love Teddy's relationship with Gus's kid as well. I'm so sad this book is over that I'm going to do a reread of the series. I can't wait until Wild and Wrangled comes out in April!!! Dusty and Cam's story is going to be worth the wait though, I'm sure.

In Lyla Sage we trust. I have been waiting for this story since the first book, and it did not disappoint. Every story at Rebel Blue Ranch is superb, but Gus and Teddy's story is extra special. Can't wait to see what else is in store!
