My first foray into Zambra's work, and maybe not the most ideal starting place for me. Well there's technically nothing wrong with this collection of fiction, I don't think I'm in a place in my life or circumstances that I can appreciate it fully. It's also translated by Megan McDowell, who is one of my absolute Spanish to English translators. It made for a fairly good read, but it's not for me. I'd be happy to recommend it.
