The author appears to have spent countless hours interviewing people and research and it shows. Bill Gates is the main topic of the book, but it also spends much time discussing other billionaires, philanthropic donations, foundations and about the behind the scene details of his professional and personal life.
A very complex individual, a genius, and also a very introverted person. A few times the information was reported multiply times, but it really did no take away from the story being told.

The introduction had 4 typos in the first 3 pages. Four. I almost decided it wasn’t going to be worth my time, but since that probably wasn’t written by the author, I kept going.

But then, lord…. There is NO new information in this book. None. But just right away, you can tell how condescending it’s about to get. It’s like a thesaurus was used to replace as many words as possible with bigger words for no reason. They are completely unnecessary and do not prove any points or fool anyone isn’t pretending she knows what she’s talking about.

Plus, so many of the facts are simply not true.

(See: Forbes published philanthropy score.)

What a boring book and what horrible writing, full of opinions and hyperbole. A true fluff piece of bullshit.
