An excellent look at how Lincoln's personal secretaries John Nicolay and John Hay helped to shape the image of Abraham Lincoln that we know today. These two young men were by his side throughout his Presidency. They saw the inside of every decision and crisis. After Lincoln's death they collaborated on the first great biography of their beloved boss and mentor. Highly recommended as a inside look at the most important presidency America has ever known.
