I have read several of Roseanna White’s books and absolutely adored them all, so when I heard she was releasing a Christmas Novella, I was super excited and even more elated when I received an ebook copy.
Everything beautiful about Roseanna’s writing is stuffed into this sweet novella, complete with the Christmastime joy and hope of what Christ has done for us.
The characters were unique and believable, and even the cold, affronting Gyldencrone had a soft side to him. I appreciated that he got his happy ending, too, not just Mariah and Cyril. Mariah was a special character to relate to. She was the embodiment of Christmas joy without being childish.
Despite being a shorter read, this book does well by adding in the rich history and details of old England.
I can think of nothing that wasn’t great about this book! It's a must-read if you're a fan of Roseanna White’s work.
