An awesome book for the beginning artist who loves animals. A good medium between cartoon and realistic. Something for everyone!
Draw with Art for Kids Hub Animals is the perfect book to teach kids, and truly beginners of all ages, how to draw. The easy step-by-step approach will make anyone feel great about their art. It may also lead to an artistic approach where all objects are seen as simple shapes that can be used for much more than just animals. 5 stars and highly recommended!
Thanks to NetGalley and DK Children for providing me with a review copy.
During the early months of the pandemic, our family used the drawing videos from Art for Kids Hub to have a family drawing club. Every night a different family member would choose what we drew. We would’ve loved to have this book on hand!
This book is super cute. I love the inclusion of the kid drawings. Kids are always comparing their drawing abilities with those of people double their age and getting frustrated, so this is such a welcome benchmark.
My favorite part of the book is part II, where you get some advice on making your drawing your own. This part goes by so quickly in the YouTube videos that I love seeing it in print so kids can really explore and consider adding unique elements to their work.
I received a free digital copy for this review, but I’m probably going to end up buying a physical copy anyway!
I love this book. I tried the drawings myself and then introduced them to my speech kids. It works great for following the directions activities. Adding the YouTube videos is a bonus. I love the beginning where it talks about the basic shapes to use, as well as expressions. My speech kids often work on facial expressions, drawing them is a wonderful way to integrate that skill into their therapy. Of course, the artwork is wonderful and colorful, just what a drawing book should have.
My kids art life was raised on kids arts hub videos. I am happy to see te book. The personality of the artist shows in the drawings too making up for his and his kids voice and involvement. Fun book to draw along with. There's ways to change the moods of the drawings based on how you feel on the day of drawing.
The book was beautifully written. The graphics are very clean and impactful and I loved the step by step guides. The photos chosen a re ones that children want to draw and are engaging. Overall, the book was well written and I did really enjoy it.
