This book was such an easy read. There’s nothing to hate about it, and everything to love. It was fun, sexy, adventurous, and addictive. I couldn’t put this one down.

I've always loved Jennifer Armentrout's stories and writing style, so I was soooo excited to get approved for this arc! I was not only impressed again, but this is definitely my favorite in the series! I will be recommending this to EVERYONE AND THEIR MOTHER!!

Ma'am. I can't. The feels this one made me feel. Like... I am still processing. I finished this one less than a few hours after the second one, Pure. I'm finishing up the novella now. I cried. I laughed. I was angry. If a book makes me react IRL and not just in my head, it is doing a good job. The plot, and characters were amazing. Every Covenant book I read gets better and better. I don't even think this one was YA at all. I actually wasn't entirely sure what was going to happen this book and although I had suspicions, a few times I was wrong (that doesn't happen).

From here there will be spoilers, big ones so don't read further if you haven't finished.

*****

I had a feeling that Seth or Aiden would turn bad or die etc. I just couldn't decide which one until it happened. Not that either has died... YET. I am actually kind of upset about Seth and everything he did. Like I knew his motives in the second book were not wholly pure or about love but still.... I'm... actually really sad... I was kind of rooting for Seth for a while.... then she awakened and now he can just... eff off. Also hello gods??? Apollo??? Every one of them lol! I'm just... UGH I'm probably immediately going to start the fourth book as soon as I'm done with the novella!

This book is easily the best book in the entire series! Everything about it, from the characters, to the plot, to the growth of the story was just so well done.

This book was fun, sexy, and so full of adventure that I couldn't put it down! I devoured this book in one sitting!

Thank you NetGalley for an eARC!

The third book in the Covenant series. It picks up where Pure left. I definitely need to read the first two in the series. The heroine is a total kick butt gal. Greek gods, demi gods and decisions abound. Great plot build up. Looking forward to reading the first two then rereading this one. Great series! Thanks#Netgalley and #SourcebooksBloomBooks for the eARC in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are mine.

The best book in the series so far! It had everything. Even more world building, mystery, secrets, betrayals and love.

This book picks up where the last ends. We learn even more about the gods and the Hematoi and the Apollyon. The prophecy seems to be right so far. There are some surprise guests in this book and holy gods is it good. Major revelations are revealed. Without spoiling the book I just want to say this book was very nicely done. The story flowed and each surprise truly pulled at your emotions. I wanted to laugh at Leon, jump for joy for Aiden, weep / high five Alex and punch Seth.

Alex is still the sassy badass shes always been which is why I love her character so much. Shes reckless but brave. And so loyal despite everything.

I am team Aiden always. Since day 1. And I am so glad we get more time with him and his thoughts and revelations this book.

Jennifer L. Armentrout does it again, this woman just can't miss for me. Deity is the third installment of her Covenant series and is climbing up to be a favorite series, and this is my favorite installment so far. This is an amazingly fast paces YA fantasy book that picks up right where Pure left you in pieces.

Alex's birthday is nearing, which is when she expects to awaken as an Apollyon and when her and her "fated" other half, Seth, will become one. This story starts to show Seth's true colors more and more, and I will just put it out there, I am not a fan. Alex is also very wary about the two's fate in becoming one and tries to talk Seth out of it. But then, we get lots of Aiden, who Alex is in love with and who you truly want to see this through. Then Alex's birthday happens, and just when you think all is safe, JLA stomps on you by giving you the most heartbreaking scene AND THEN ENDING THE BOOK.

I'll be having words with you JLA, but I'm just waiting for the next one.

It wasn’t amazing but it was entertaining! I liked this idea of the Greek gods and Demi god/semi gods etc. I just got really confused during the last 1/3 where the major gods came into play and our heroine is awakening and just completely disregarded. She no longer has any sentience, choice, or direction in her life. It was like the entire plot that had been building up was severed and started over and it just didn’t really read well. The whole side plot with the gods just also didn’t really make sense. It was a lot of back and forth and the spice was closed door which made me so sad 😞

Still worth a read, I think I just need to go back and read the others to get a better idea.

This series is soo good and I feel like it’s getting better and better with every book. I definitely recommend everyone to read it starting with Half-blood.
Alex is facing so many challenges before her Awakening and it’s so hard for her to decide if she can trust the people that are close to her.
The cliffhanger at the end of this book is too painful, I just had to start the next one right away. I loved the tension and all the feelings between Alex and Aiden in this book, those two can get through everything together.
Really looking forward to seeing what happens next with Alex, Aiden and Seth…

This was an interesting story with a compelling plot for the majority of the book. While I liked Alex as a main character and the love triangle with Seth and Aiden kept my attention, I had mixed feelings on the last hundred pages or so. I’m still undecided if I will pick up the next book in the series.

*I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley. This is my honest review.

A good continuation of the Covenant series. In this installment a bit more exciting drama starts to unfold. There are still the elements of romance, drama, and mystery interspersed throughout this fantasy book.

I absolutely love this author! She is an auto buy for me. This book did not disappoint and was probably my favorite in the series. I can’t wait for the next book.

Can Alex get a breather already?! Girl has it rough!

It’s almost Alex’s birthday which happens to be when she will awaken as an Apollyon…supposedly when her and Seth will become “one” and he will be a Godkiller. Alex is definitely not down with that plan and tries to talk Seth out of it but he’s been manipulated by Lucien and is suffering from major daddy issues and refuses Alex. Remember when I said Seth was growing on me in Pure? Pfft! That is totally out the window. He’s lying to her more and more and keeping vital information from her of what will happen to her when she awakens. He’s away for half this book doing all kinds of bad stuff like hanging with Boobs and roughing up slaves who don’t submit. The guy is addicted to power and is willing to sacrifice Alex to get more of it. He’s definitely on Team Bad Guys this book.

One bright spot is our boy Protective Aiden is back! Thank god! Our two love birds are finally together and enjoying all the benefits of what that means even though they are in the middle of total chaos. And just as Alex gets a little bit of happiness the awakening starts and it hurts like hell. No matter that she ran from Seth the moment she awakens she is overcome by him and seems almost in a possessed state and THATS when JLA decides to end the book, what an evil woman!

This might be my favorite so far. We get a lot more information on the Gods and even meet a few. I loved that Alex and Aiden finally are all gooey eyed over each other at the same time, they deserve it! Can’t wait to see what happens next! Thanks so much to Bloom Books for sending me an eARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review!

Jennifer L. Armentrout when I find you it is ON SIGHT!!!! Ok? Not only do you leave us with another cliffhanger. You leave us with sadness, tragedy, and most importantly another MONTH BEFORE THE NEXT BOOK!!!
Deity is so freaking good. I'm so pumped for Apollyon and Sentinel. Why this book isn't five stars however is due to the fact that I do feel like the plot does take some time to really pick up speed but once it does ooh!!!

Deity is Book Three in the Covenant series. So far this one is my favorite! I couldn’t put this down. It’s one of those books you can’t stop thinking about and I was completely shocked by the ending! WOW! Excited for the upcoming books in this series.

Thank you NetGalley and Bloom Books for the arc of this book.

I love this storyline!. This book is unputdownable. This series just keeps getting better and better. Also, I am still Team Seth forever and always! But Aiden is cute too. (Why not both?) The plot in this had me hooked. I loved this book when I read it a few years ago, and I still love it now, especially with that cover!

This one was definitely better than the first two. I am not fully invested in the plot and Alex. While I’ve personally loved Aiden from the beginning, I only love him that much more now and I am officially dying for the next book.

In this book, Alex struggles with who to trust. Someone is lying to her but who is it? I won't say because that would be a spoiler but it is exactly who I thought it was. I feel like Alex's personality in this is all over the plan with no rhyme or reason until we get into the second half of the book. We also get to meet a god! I definitely enjoy the character of Apollo. There are some hilarious references to the human world which I enjoyed. And...yet another cliffhanger! I'm going to have to dive in to the next book quickly. I have throughly enjoyed this series so far. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the Arc of this reissued book

Deity is the third book in the Covenant series and picks up after the devasting ending of Pure. While I’ve read this book before, it’s been a while, so getting to relive some of the scenes in this book was an absolute delight. Looking at you ‘mortal holiday tree’. I love how fast paced this YA Fantasy read is. It’s easy to finish the book in one sitting without even realizing you’ve reached the end with how engaging it is. I also love the relationship between Alex and Aiden. The tension and banter between them is pure perfection. I don’t love the sort of love triangle, but I do feel that it was necessary to the storyline to demonstrate Alex’s struggles with what is real and what is due to the bond. Be ready for some mind blowing revelations, jaw dropping betrayals, and heart stopping plot twists because this book has everything. I also adored the found family in this story. The friendship between Alex and Deacon is one of my favorite things. Be prepared to have the next book on standby. You’ll want it after the ending of this one. I would definitely recommend picking it this book and series as a whole.

Why must I wait until the next book for answers?! The ending of this book was so good but I don't want to wait for book 4 with that cliffhanger! Each book in this series keeps getting better and better. My mind was blown and I cannot wait to see what happens next.
