Oh Rafa has my heart. I absolutely adored him AND Nico, and obviously Ellie. The character development that we saw in Rafa during the book was absolutely everything, and so well done. It didn't feel rushed, and it felt like a real character development that someone could go through in that amount of time. The way his relationships developed, with Nico, with Ellie, and with his family, was also very cute to see. The way he would do anything for the people that he cares about, no matter what.

I adored everything about this book, and could not put it down. Cannot wait for Lorenzo and Lily's story to come

This is a good book. The two main characters are Elle and Rafael. They have known each other since high school. Elle had a crush on Rafael. Elle is Rafael’s son nanny and music tutor. There is an attraction between them. They go to Hawaii on vacation for two weeks and have a good time. They start dating and fall in love.

Thank you NetGalley for a copy of this eARC! I thought that this book was a bit long, but I think people who like romance books that are long, with many romantic scenes between the fmc and the mmc, I think it's very good for that. I wasn't a big fan of the writing, but I thought that the characterization was strong and the development of the characters.

This was so cute! I adored every second of this book. There were so many sweet moments that had me swooning, blushing, or giggling to myself as I read. This book is for the girls who love thoughtful and grand gestures. Rafael really listened and paid attention to everything and it made so many of the moments in this book extra special.

My only complaint was that this book was very long and at times I could really feel how long it was or like certain parts could be taken out. I think it felt especially long in the beginning when they hated each other lol.

I loved the relationship between Ellie and Nico. It was so sweet and they really understood each other and had such a special bond.

I also loved how there were a few different storylines going on but it didn’t seem overwhelming or like it was just trying to stretch the story out.

The ending was also very sweet.

I think I may have liked this book even more than the first in the series. I can’t wait to read what is next!

Overall, I would recommend this book! Don’t be afraid of how long it is because it doesn’t seem that way when you are reading.

Tropes:
- billionaire
- single dad
- nanny
- grand gestures
- high school crush
- dual pov
- first person

Good things come to those who wait but why oh why did I wait on this second Lakefront Billionaires book?? I admit the length is overwhelming at first (over 600 pages for a romance?? I mean a bit much) that said though, the grumpy billionaire single dad x nanny trope almost never fails to deliver for me and this was no exception. I absolutely loved this second chance romance between Rafael and Ellie (an aspiring songwriter who has been burned by her ex best friend and her friend's boyfriend who stole her songs and gaslit her). The book also has great disability rep (a genetic condition that leads to blindness in Rafe's young son) as well as outstanding mental health rep (Rafe deals with depression and guilt over his son's condition and Ellie has a history of self harm and anxiety). This was great on audio narrated by Noah B. Perez (with his sexy accent) and Vanessa Edwin, had cameos from book one and sets up Lorenzo and Willow's story for the next book really well. Highly recommended for fans of authors like Lucy Score or Meghan Quinn. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early digital copy in exchange for my honest review!

Ugh, my heart! This book hit me right in the feels. My gut was churning, my eyes were watering, and my cheeks frequently heated from anger (that Rafael man...). Lauren Asher's writing is a truly immerse experience, putting readers into the minds of these complex, flawed characters, and her words seemed to have a direct line to my heartstrings! But I'm getting ahead of myself...

With the second book in the Lakefront Billionaires Series, Lauren Asher delves into the love story between single father, Rafael, and his son's live-in nanny, Ellie. With a backstory filled with tragedy and heartache, Rafael is the textbook definition of a tortured hero, and Ellie has her own fair share of skeletons in her closet. There's an unspoken attraction between them that burns brighter with their forced proximity, but Rafael's oftentimes callous way of keeping Ellie at arm's length keeps them from forming a deeper, more intimate connection for much of the narrative.

Whether it's their pasts interfering with their desire for happiness, or forces outside their budding relationship seemingly conspiring to keep them apart, Rafael and Ellie's road to a happy ending is full of twists and bumps. But theirs is a heartbreakingly beautiful love story about hope, redemption, and healing. It's sexy, emotional, swoon-worthy, and evocative, with the characters and their journey leaving a lasting impression.

Tropes: small lake town, single dad, grumpy x sunshine vibes, nanny x employer, all the feels

*please note this story does touch on some sensitive subject matters so check the trigger warnings

THIS FREAKING BOOK. Not only was it one of my favorite tropes of nanny x single dad but Rafael + Ellie were so freaking perfect I didn’t want to stop reading. Their story is so beautiful to read and I loved how they both needed each other for different things. They’ve both had a difficult past but being able to lean on each other and grow was amazing to watch. Gosh did this make my heart ache but also giggle and kick my feed because Rafa is a man on a mission when he wants to spoil and please his woman. Seriously cannot get enough of this town, I am obsessed🩷

Lauren Asher - the queen of making me feel all the feels. This book tugged at my heartstrings and it made me laugh. Lauren portrayed childhood trauma’s lingering effects on adulthood beautifully and respectfully; and how it impacts how we form relationships with others around us. If you love rom coms, single dad romance, with an emotional element, this is the perfect read

lauren truly truly blessed us with a book like this. every chapter. every page. every single detail… perfection. i’m a sucker for a romance with character development, growth, and HEALTHY COMMUNICATION (at the end). seeing rafael work through his trauma from the past and seeing ellie believe in herself and grow as well made my heart soar with pride. this might be my favorite lauren asher book to date.

all the characters were so well developed and had so much depth (but then again lauren has always been amazing at writing very raw and real characters). i didn’t expect to cry so much. but i did. but i also laughed and smiled a ton as well. nico (the son) is ADORABLE. kids either make or break a book and he MADE the book phenomenal. i loved seeing nico’s relationship with rafael grow as well. overall this was a fantastic book and i can’t wait for the next!!

I think this was a case of right book, wrong time 😕 I absolutely loved LOVE REDESIGNED, but I was in a little book slump when I read this one and it just didn’t hit like I thought it would. However, 3 stars for me still means that I liked it — I just didn’t love it.

I found myself more invested in the individual growth of the main characters — and Ellie’s relationship with Rafael’s son — more than I was invested in the romance.

With this being the single dad / nanny trope, I loved how Ellie would stand her ground and not let Rafael walk all over her when he was in full grump mode.

I also loved the cameos of Dahlia and Julian from book one 🫶

As someone who prefers books in the 300-400 page range, Lauren Asher sure knows how to write romances with 500+ pages that I’ll pick up without second thought 🤪

🩷 billionaire romance
🩷 single dad
🩷 age gap
🩷 grumpy / sunshine
🩷 mental health rep
🩷 small town

I can’t wait for book 3 to come out next year! 📆

I really love Lauren Asher, and really really enjoyed Lakefront Billionaires #1. The first book had so much chemistry, and the element of the town was so interesting! I understood why it was so long, because we got so much of the characters and other storylines.

For book two, it didn't quite hit the same for me. The chemistry wasn't as fun or as exciting, and the other storylines were kind of repetitive and dramatic.

All in all, I liked it... but I didn't love it! Hoping I love the next one more, I'll try again!

*E-book copy gifted by Bloom Books and Netgalley - thank you! All opinions are my own.

This was another Lauren Asher banger! I don’t know what she puts into her books but whatever it is, I hope she never loses this spark and continues to give us all these wholesome love stories!! She's become one of my favorite authors and I can't wait for the rest of this series!!

Lauren Asher doesn't have one back track ‧₊ ᵎᵎ 🍒 ⋅ ˚✮

"With every whispered confession, Ellie collects another one of my heartstrings in the palm of her hand, keeping me permanently tied to her."

Love Unwritten tells the story of Rafa and Ellie who we meet in Love Redesigned. Rafa is Julian's cousin and also a billionaire single dad. While Ellie is Rafa's son's nanny and also his music tutor. They don't have the best relationship because Rafa is def a grumpy, emotionally unavailable man and he tries to not get close to anyone after his disastrous marriage and divorce. But he's finding it harder and harder to not succumb to Ellie and the life that they could build together.

I cried very early on in this book?? The way Lauren really gave us this roller coaster of emotions in one single book from start to finish - like HER MIND. HER CRAFT!! I absolutely adored Ellie and Rafael. I loved how much Nico loved her and how they were basically one lil family since the start even though it will take time to get there and voice it out. The vacation portion of the novel was also so good and probs my fave part. It was so fresh, relaxing, and full of romantic moments where I was giggling and screaming because of them.

♡ single dad x nanny
♡ he can't say no to her "oh she wants to adopt six kittens? okay let's do it"
♡ he kisses her scars
♡ he knows she's scared of flying so HE CHANGES THE WHOLE THING SO THEY CAN TRAVEL IN A BOAT INSTEAD OF FLYING TO THE NEXT DESTINATION (even though it'll cost him $$$$ but he's a billionaire he can do it and def for her)

I'm excited for the next book. I AM SO READY FOR LORENZO AND LILY <3 Fake engagement trope? Oh I'm game 10/10.

I’m just gonna start off by saying that this book started off incredibly depressing to the point where it took me so long to pick it back up again because I just was so sad and the first three chapters. Yes, we get the slight tension between the two main characters, but the son stole the show in the beginning in a very heart wrenching way. This is yet again another super long book by Lauren not that I’m complaining. Their story is definitely one for the books and probably should have its own roller coaster named after them because that’s exactly what this book took me on emotionally.

4.5/5 ⭐️

Absolutely love this one. I found myself giggling, tearing up and falling for these characters so much. The slow burn, pining, tension and just all around the romance was done so well. Rafael becoming more comfortable with himself and his past was so special. I seriously loved how Rafael was this closed off grumpy guy not open to any kind of love and then with Ellie he’s this blushing shy mess that was so cute. Nico is so adorable and I loved this kid so much. Seeing him open up more with Rafael as well as being friends with Ellie was just so fun to read about. The only reason I’m not rating this a five star is because it felt a little too long for a romance book. A romance book that is around 600 pages like this one I find to be a bit too long and I end up losing a tiny bit of interest, but overall this book was just so good and I highly recommend.

I have no notes. This book had me giggling and kicking my feet the entire time. Lauren, I just want to burrow into your brain and get these books as you type them into existence. This is important to me.

The way I eat up the single-parent trope is so alarming but wow, I was SAT as soon as I opened the book. It was actually just one of my favourite reads of this year simply because she had me ENTERTAINED.

Lauren, love you the most girly. Keep it up.

Lauren Asher definitely hit it out of the park with this one. I'd totally give it more than 5 stars if I could. Seriously gave me all the feels!! I shed a few tears like only 5% in. Lol Get tissues ready. ⁣

We met them in Love Redesigned, and I knew I needed their story. The relationship dynamic between Rafa, Ellie, and Nico was so beautifully well done. An immediate yes for me was the single dad trope x nanny. It's a win almost every time for me. Ellie was the perfect piece of puzzle that Rafa and Nico needed in their life. It was a slow burn, and I feel like it was a thick book, but I couldn't get enough of them. Lol I can totally read more of them.

Totally recommend this book, this series. Can't wait for Love Arranged!!! But at the same time, I don't want this series to end!!! However, I am keeping my fingers crossed, and have a feeling Cole would be for a new series. 👀👀

This might be my favorite Lauren Asher book. There was a moment in the first couple of chapters when I nearly threw my Kindle because the plot of stolen songs felt so similar to *All Rhodes Lead Here* by Mariana Zapata that I was miffed. However, it turned out to be so different and perfect! Why am I so judgmental? These two, their love—ugh. I swooned, I laughed, I cried. But mainly, it gave me a bit of hope. Hope that people can see more than just the first impression. Hope that good does win, and while love does not conquer all, it sure makes our time here on earth a bit more magical.

Read this if you want a bit of hope. Read this if you want a story where the underdog wins. Read this if you like the single dad trope.

I was given an advanced reader's copy via NetGalley, thank you to them. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
