"Our Scars tell our stories"

With the only other book I've read by this author being Archers Voice I had no idea what I was getting in this story. I loved the blend of romance with the suspense. It gave me the familiar things of what I love about Sheridan's first book while offering something that was refreshing. I connected with the journey that the characters went on starting in a place of hurt and healing along the way. It was such an engaging, fast-paced story and I will continue to read more form this author!

Is romantic suspense something I’m into now? Sometimes I struggle with thrillers/suspense, but the romance aspect made this totally worth it!

Unwanted by Mia Sheridan is a thrilling mix of mystery, romance, and suspense that kept me on the edge of my seat. The story follows Harper Ward, a wilderness guide, who gets caught up in a double murder investigation involving Lucas, a man who’s spent most of his life in the forest. Sheridan does an amazing job building their relationship, exploring themes of trust and survival. The plot is full of twists, and the characters are so well-developed that their journey feels both emotional and intense. While some parts might be a bit far-fetched, the depth of the story made it totally worth the read. Overall, Unwanted is a gripping novel that blends romance with suspense perfectly.

Unwanted by Mia Sheridan is a thrilling, suspense-filled romance that keeps readers on the edge of their seats. Harper Ward, a skilled wilderness guide, is summoned to the small town of Helena Springs, Montana, to assist with a double murder investigation. The prime suspect, a man named Lucas, is described as savage—a primal figure who’s lived alone in the forest since childhood. As Harper observes him through a station surveillance camera, she’s immediately struck by his raw, untamed appearance, but also by the intelligence and sensitivity she sees in his eyes. Who is this mysterious man, and can he really be capable of the brutal crimes he’s accused of?

As Harper delves deeper into the case, she uncovers secrets that point to a far more complicated and dark truth. Lucas is a puzzle she can’t resist trying to solve—he may be a victim of circumstances, a misunderstood soul, or even more dangerously, a man with a troubled past that could threaten her heart. The chemistry between Harper and Lucas builds slowly, intensifying with each interaction as Harper struggles to balance her growing attraction to him with her doubts about his innocence.

Mia Sheridan masterfully weaves together suspense, romance, and a profound exploration of human nature in *Unwanted*. It’s a page-turning story of survival, redemption, and discovering the truth beneath surface appearances. Fans of Sheridan’s previous work, like *Archer's Voice*, will find themselves captivated by this emotionally rich, suspenseful tale.

A heartfelt thank you to the publisher Bloom Books for providing this gripping and deeply romantic read.

I really wanted to get into this one but I simply couldn't. I think because I've loved some of her other work, that I had higher hopes. I still would recommend this book to some people but it wasn't for me.

This was such a different type of story. It had romance, suspense and quite the storyline. It reminded me a lot of Archer’s story which I loved. This book has so many emotions and I’m here for it.

Wilderness guide Harper Ward is summoned to assist in a double murder investigation in Helena Springs, Montana, where the prime suspect is a man described as a savage. Known only as Lucas, he appears primitive but shows intelligence and sensitivity, intriguing Harper.

As secrets unfold, Harper is drawn into a larger, more sinister plot with Lucas at its center. She must determine if he is a wild man, a killer, an innocent victim, or a mix of all three, while risking her heart in the process.

I love a good romantic suspense novel, so I was super excited when I read the premise of 𝗨𝗻𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint.

The mystery/suspense element is at the forefront of the plot, and there are many enjoyable twists and turns along the way. I found myself fully invested in the story, and the multiple timelines/multiple POVs really kept me intrigued. The romance subplot was very emotional and sweet. Lucas has a very primitive view on romance due to his isolation, so watching his walls come down and seeing him try to impress Harper was very endearing.

Mia Sheridan has a talent for creating emotional stories that simultaneously break your heart and put it back together again. I look forward to reading more from her in the future.

This book was so Tarzan and I totally enjoyed it. I definitely though there would be more spice in it, but there was hardly any. Which was okay, because the rest of the story made up for it. I enjoyed the dual timelines and multiple POVs. I actually started gaining compassion for the main male character because of what he went through. It was just a well written story with a lot of facets to it.

I love every book that Mia Sheridan writes and Unwanted was no exception. There a little crime and suspense action and the romance was well done a well. I really enjoyed this style of book and it felt different than her others. Would recommend!

I've read just about everything Mia Sheridan has written and consider myself a big fan.

But this one fell completely flat for me and had the pacing of molasses in the winter. After forcing myself to get through chapter after chapter over the past four months and only getting to 20%, I'm tapping out. Maybe I'll come back to it someday when I'm in the mood for a slow paced, mystery-type story..

This had an Archer's Voice feel to it for me and that is one of my favorite books of all time so of course I loved this book. I was in suspense from page one and didn't want to put this one down. Great pacing and it flowed well and the ending plot twist was jaw dropping. The blend between suspense and romance is spot on and it just plays out so well. Well done Mia Sheridan!

✨Sometimes miracles- Like love- arrived gently. Softly. Without fanfare. Without a lighting strike. For true miracles needed no such thing.✨

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I could not love this book more, I loved it when I first read it….as Savaged in 2019! Now re-reading it with its new beautiful cover and name, I loved it even more. One of the best tortured heroes I have ever read!
Mia never, ever disappoints. She writes the most beautifully tortured characters that you can’t help but appreciate their depth.

Harper is a wilderness guide.
Lucas not only a modern day Tarzan is a suspect in a murder investigation.
Harper is thrust into his world with a secret of her own.

Mia Sheridan is really good at suspense enveloped with romance and this one is no exception. (NOTE: this book was previously published under the name Savaged)

I don't want to give too. much away, but the plot provided by NG is pretty good at still leaving the good parts a mystery. Harper is an incredible protagonist (I love a wilderness guide!). This was really good at keeping you on your toes and wanting to finish it to get to the end (in a good way)

WILDERNESS GUIDE IN MONTANA!?!?!?! murder!?!?!? Mia Sherdan has a way with words in every book she writes that just captivates you until the end and makes you want to stick around for the side characters after too. I loved every word in this and I felt like I was reading verity from colleen hoover because the suspense and mystery was palpable. Please keep books like these coming! Thank you so much for the author, publisher, and Netgalley!

I was first introduced to Mia Sheridan's work with Archer's Voice, a book I still think about constantly. I was totally taken by surprise to see her write a romantic mystery, but it was a pleasant surprise for sure!

This definitely rivals Archer's Voice in my opinion, it was just that good! I've never read anything like this and was constantly curious where we were going to be taken as readers. This leans more mystery than romance to me, but there’s such a beautiful, slow burn, love story woven through.

I highly recommend this book to anyone looking to read a mystery with a great slow-burn romance mixed in.

I absolutely love this specific type of book from Mia Sheridan. She knows exactly how to blend romance and suspense beautifully into one story. I quickly fell in love with Lucas and understood why Harper did as well.

I don’t want to give any spoilers away in regards to the plot, but I will say it kept me on my toes and surprised me. I liked working out different aspects in my head and trying to guess what was going to happen next. Although certain aspects of the story may not be super realistic or plausible, it adds needed development/elements. Harper and Lucas’ relationship was heartwarming to see and I loved how much Harper helped him grow. He also helped her move on and discover new things about herself. Mia truly knows how to write a tortured hero that captures everyone’s hearts.

Mia Sheridan wrote a unique, compelling, beautiful romance! I absolutely enjoyed every second of this book!

Unwanted is a rerelease of savage, suspenseful twisted thriller that includes a homicide, maybe more than one. This story keep me on my feet the whole way through!

Thank you NetGalley and MIA Sheridan for the ARC!
