This was such a fun suspenseful and unique read. It was not at all what I expected going in but I really enjoyed the blend of romance and kinda thriller/suspense. I thought the characters were so engaging and the romance was the perfect blend of sweet and spicy. I would recommend this book to almost anyone it has such universal appeal. Will be adding to our library 100%!
I love this book so much!
Even if my favourite book by the author remains Archer’s Voice, this book comes very close if not on the same step.
A heartbreaking story about two lives forced to live by other’s people rules but reunited after many years. I must admit that I’ve shared some tears because we can’t never know the person next to us and what they hide.
Same great writing that will keep you not wanting to put the book down, wonderful main characters and interesting story. I just love everything about this book.
Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC.
I’ll start off by saying- this is not at all what I expected it to be. Having read Archer’s Voice I assumed this would be a similar story. I don’t usually read thrillers/mysteries so I may not have even picked this up if it wasn’t for the fact that Mia Sheridan was the author. That being said- I could not put this down!
The twists and turns this takes you on, with the little bit of romance thrown in, was so good. I loved Jak and Harper separately and I loved their relationship. The way it all came together in the second half- I truly didn’t see coming. It kept me on my toes but was also subtle enough for a non-thriller reader like me to appreciate.
Loved it.
I thought this was a fine romance book. Nothing really special. It seemed like the author left it open for a series, and I would probably continue on with the series if she were to write more.
This book is romantic suspense at its finest!
Harper is a wilderness guide who is summoned to Helena Springs, Montana, to assist with a double murder investigation.
The main suspect, Lucas, looks WILD, but Harper sees more to him.
This book kept me guessing until the very end. From the moment Harper meets Lucas, the story hooks you as you are figuring things out.
The balance between suspense and romance is just right. I’m usually more of a pure romance girl, but this was a fun change of pace!
If you enjoy suspense novels with a touch of romance, this book is definitely for you.
Thank you NetGalley and Sourcebook Bloom Books for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
“Unwanted” is a captivating story about surviving at all costs. This looks different for each character we meet but their strength and will to live connect them deeply. This book perfectly covers multiple POVs and timelines as we learn the backstories of Harper and Lucas, who are connected from a murder investigation. There are so many twists and turns – one especially made my stomach drop. I believe I read this book under its previous publication because it was familiar but it was great to read again – I definitely recommend it to others. There are multiple triggers that readers should be aware of before checking it out though. Thanks to Sourcebooks Bloom Books and NetGalley for the eARC.

Rating: Not for me
I love Mia Sheridan’s writing so when I saw that this story was being republished, I leapt at the chance to request it.
I went into this story with a different expectations. I was hoping for a different story rather than a thriller. It wasn’t bad but I was hoping for a romance instead.

𝗨𝗻𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱 is a survival romantic suspense, set in dual timelines, following an intricate plot of a mysterious man named Jak, who seems to have been raised himself in the wild and is somehow the person of interest in a double homicide.
But when nature guide, Harper, sees the kindness lurking behind the haunted eyes, she sets to prove his innocence and along discovers secrets long buried.

This book was insane.
The plot, the storyline, the survival trope? INSANE.
I'm in love with the romance.
It was pure, if a little too fast, and had the feel of a fated mates trope but in a good way.
Jak and Harper were the sweetest, bravest, pair and deserve all the best things in life.
I'm so happy that this will now be a series and I can hardly wait for what is to come!

Wow was this a heavy read. Definitely check the trigger warnings because this one was much darker than I expected. I found that I just couldn’t put it down. Everything that both Jak and Harper have been through in their lives is mind blowing. And for both to come out the other side as the people they become was just heartwarming. The abuse and neglect and abandonment they experienced had me emotional for most of this. But the way they come together in the sweetest way was great. The romance was wonderful as Sheridan does that well in all her books. I definitely recommend but read the synopsis first.
Spicy contemporary mf romance with suspense and mystery. I can't believe I've never read anything by this author before! I've heard good things about Archer's Voice so that has been on my overly long tbr list. I'm so glad I was able to read a copy of this through netgalley. I really enjoyed this book and the author's writing style. I'm moving Archer's Voice up to my next read right now!
Unwanted is one of my favorite books of 2024! Mia Sheridan has such a way of writing - one that will captivate you and suck you in unapologetically. I'm assuming this one is a re-write of one of her prior books, Savaged, but I loved it nonetheless!
In this story, we follow Jak and his journey that has gotten him to where he is now. Jak was forced to grow up in the wild due to unfortunate circumstances, all of which eventually brought him to Harper. As we read, we learn that Harper and Jak are connected in more ways than one, and it is, situation aside, beautiful. I loved them as individuals and even more as a whole, and I loved how they came to learn and understand each other's world and eventually fall in love. It's a story that will make you feel many emotions and pull at your heartstrings, all the while rooting for each MC. It has everything that makes a great read - mystery, suspense, romance!
My greatest thanks to NetGalley, Sourcebooks Bloom Books, and Mia Sheridan for allowing me the privilege to read this ARC!
Let me start by saying I adore Mia Sheridan’s writing. Archer’s Voice is still one of my absolute favorites by her.
The overview of this book sounded really good, and I was so grateful for the arc.
I feel the story was a little all over for me, and a bit slow. Some of the reveals near the end was really foreseeable to me. I feel this was like a survival, thriller, and mystery all rolled into one. It just didn’t work well for me.
I also felt the MMC was more in love with his “wolves” than the MFC.
Just wasn’t what I expected, but still excellent writing. It may not have been a fave for me, but you may love it.
Thank you Bloom Books for my e arc.

If someone would have asked me before I read this story what was my most memorable story out of the thousands of books I’ve read. Without a doubt, Archer’s Voice. Is it faith or coincidence? I think it’s Mia’s writing. Savaged took this spot by being my most memorable read of all times. There aren’t enough stars in the sky to rate this story.
This story is so captivating that I did nothing but read until I saw the end. It’s highly suspenseful and addicting. Above all it’s a love story. The pure and unconditional one. From the first page read until the end, there were twists and turns. The level of writing is phenomenal. I was held captive the entire time. The characters latched themselves to my entire being and made me feel so many different emotions. The storyline is unique and beautifully executed. Bottomline this is a MUST read. My new all time favourite.
Standalone told in the third person with an HEA. I STRONGLY recommend this story. All of this authors previous stories are all worth the readers precious time and money.
5 Stars for the heartbreaking story!
WOW ... I could not put this book down! My heart broke for Harper and Jak ... the things they had to endure in their childhood is far from normal. I love a good mystery and this one had me guessing till the end. This book made me laugh a little, but mostly I had tears running down my face or my jaw was hanging on the floor. I love how the story goes back and forth in time so you don't get the whole story till the end. I haven't read a book by this author that I haven't loved and this one is no different. I highly recommend it.
Harper's parents were killed in a car accident when she was seven and she bounced from foster house to foster house till she aged out. Since then she's rented an apartment in Helena Springs, Montana and is a wilderness guide. The police ask her to help them navigate the wilderness so they can investigate a double murder. Their main suspect is a man who's lived his life in the wilderness by himself. Lucas doesn't interact with people very well, but he can't stop watching Harper. He feels a strong connection to her ... is it possible that she is his mate?
I received an early copy courtesy of SOURCEBOOKS Bloom Books through NetGalley,
I am a big fan of Mia Sheridan's writing and was excited to read Unwanted (formerly called Savaged). It definitely did not disappoint. It had all the great elements of a typical Mia Sheridan book - character development, slow burn love story, personal tragedy, overcoming challenges, suspense, mystery, and a bit of a twist.
This story was about Jak who had grown up alone in the wild, surviving harsh conditions for many years and Harper, who overcame her own challenges when her parents died and she was left to grow up in the foster care system. I really loved these characters and their growth through the story. The side characters were such a great addition as well, especially Agent Mark and his wife Laurie who are navigating their own grief.
Overall, this was an emotional and touching story. It had a similar vibe to some of Sheridan's other stories that I've read, like Archer's Voice, Most of All You, and More Than Words. The plot was suspenseful, following a convoluted murder mystery with twists and turns along the way. I definitely recommend this bbok!
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC!
📖📖 Book Review 📖📖 You never truly know the strength of your will to survive until it is put to the ultimate test. Harper is well-versed in lasting endurance in wilderness, she is a guide in the backcountry of Montana. But when a series of murders strike in Helena Springs, the whole community is turned upside down and Harper’s instincts are pushed to the brink. Her encounters with the mysterious Lucas, a suspect living off the grid, bring about so many more questions from the past. Mia Sheridan writes a phenomenal story, where the harsh elements of nature weave seamlessly with heightened human emotions to create a perfectly paced story that raises the reader’s adrenaline just the right amount. Gripping and beautifully suspenseful, Unwanted is a summer must-read!

Review is on Goodreads and will be posted on instagram closer to publication date and on Amazon when published!
Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Another incredible book by Mia Sheridan! I thoroughly enjoyed this romantic, suspenseful story. The dual timeline and the uniqueness of this plot had me engrossed from beginning to end.
Thank you to the publisher for the opportunity to read this advanced copy. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
Four children are standing on the edge of a cliff. None of them know how they got there. They are simply told to survive. Fast forward fifteen years down the road and a man is a person of interest in two murders. He has apparently been living off the grid and no one knows anything about him, including himself. Where did he come from? What happened to the other three children?
I loved this book. A story of survival, acceptance and love. It truly has it all!
Absolutely loved this!!!
It was the perfect combination of mystery and romance. Romantic suspense is one of my favorite sub genres so when I saw Mia Sheridan had one I knew I needed to pick it up. This is my first Sheridan book but I will certainly be reading more!
I thought the mystery was clever and had plenty of suspense. I also liked that the setting was a big part in the mystery as well. Montana is definitely having its moment in romance books 😂. The action and drama were high stakes which kept me invested in the plot.
The romance was so romantic and sweet. Their romance is intense from the start. It felt very epic.
Would recommend to other romantic suspense lovers!!!
