I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for providing me with an advance reader copy of The St. Patrick’s Day Alphabet by Liz Saunders in exchange for an honest review.
I must say that this book is exceptionally well done. As a parent, I have noticed that there are relatively few high-quality St. Patrick’s Day themed children’s books available, making this one a welcome addition to the genre. Given the thoughtful presentation and educational value of this book, I will certainly be purchasing a copy for my daughter. While the recommended reading age is 3 to 6 years, I found myself thoroughly enjoying the book as an adult as well. In fact, I was pleasantly surprised to learn several new facts that I didn’t know before, making it not only entertaining but also informative for readers of all ages.
The illustrations by Lindsay Dale-Scott are perfectly suited to the book’s target audience. They are charming, playful, and age-appropriate, capturing the whimsical and festive spirit of St. Patrick’s Day while maintaining an engaging style that children will love. The illustrations really bring the story to life, adding a sense of fun and vibrancy to each page.
One of the standout features of this book is the clever addition of a search feature that challenges young readers to find the sneaky leprechauns hiding throughout the illustrations. This interactive element adds a delightful layer of fun to the reading experience, encouraging children to return to the book time and time again. It makes the story even more engaging and enjoyable, turning it into a delightful annual tradition that kids will look forward to revisiting each year.
Overall, The St. Patrick’s Day Alphabet is a wonderful and well-executed book that provides both educational content and delightful entertainment. It’s a great choice for young readers and an excellent way to introduce them to the fun and fascinating world of St. Patrick’s Day. I highly recommend this book to parents looking for an engaging and fun holiday-themed read for their children.

An alphabet book perfect for March but may not see use past then. The book pairs a St Patrick’s related task, object or concept with each letter of the alphabet. Leprechauns are hidden through the illustrations throughout the book for an interactive element. Recommended for ages 4-6

What a lovely little book this is. A lot more detail than you would expect for an ABC book and full of great information on Ireland, its history and St.Patricks Day both home in Ireland and abroad.
The illustrations were beautiful & relevant really adding to the words.
I particularly loved the authors reference to the dreaded term St. Patty's- a Patty is a burger not St.Patricks Day :)

Quite involved for an ABC book, this takes us through the alphabet, duly finding something halfway decent for every letter, with regard to the whole St Patrick's Day and Irish shtick. A lot is based around leprechauns, but there is much more than that too – details about St Patrick, and the day's history in different parts of the world, and Ireland and the Irish itself, from the Blarney Stone to "The Wearing of the Green". You could in fact say that it is too text-heavy, with the interjections of other details, plus jokes, and the fact some of the letters get multiple entries and not just the one. But with a bright, green-heavy yet still colourful design, and an ease of use you'd expect from any ABC book, what you get here is a nice touch of national pride for the fair folks of Erin and elsewhere. OK, the fact it never mentions alcohol once is a bit inaccurate where March 17 is concerned, but it certainly does what it should do for the intended audience.

Thank you to NetGalley and to the publisher for this free advance readers copy in exchange for my honest feedback. This book teaches your little ones the ABCs about the history of St. Patrick’s Day. Not only did I find it an excellent education tool for children but I as an adult learned so much! This wouldn’t be a fantastic addition to any school classroom as a tool to learn with or at home!

This book surprised me, it gave so much information and was way more than just a regular ABC book.
the illustrations are beautiful and very captivating.

I have always said there is not enough books about St Patricks day so this is WONDERFUL! I loved teaching about St Pattys day when i taught preschool and I wish I had this book. It was great and my four kids loved reading it with me.

I thought this was a cute book! While it’s short it is definitely geared towards elementary-aged children, not little littles. I am Irish, my dad was born and raised there and I have been several times, and I still learned new things from this book! I do wish it had a little less on leprechauns though.
Thank you NetGalley, DuoPress, and the author for an ARC copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I received a free copy of, The St. Patrick's Day Alphabet, by Liz Saunders, from the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This is an A to Z guide to St. Patricks Day. St, Patrick's Day is one of my favorite holidays, March 17 is a great day to celebrate the Irish heritage. From corn beef, to Dublin to, yarns, this is a great illustrated book about St. Patricks Day.

This book goes through the alphabet and puts a fun Irish spin on it! Each letter relates something to Ireland or the Irish. I loved this! I thought it was so cute, and had the added fun bonus of encouraging kids to find all the leprechauns, Definitely recommend!

At almost 28 years old, I am here to admit to you all that I knew absolutely nothing about this history of St Patrick's Day. This children's book changed that, no shame lol. My husband went to a private college (*eyeroll*, but anywhooooo...) that adopted a lot of Irish traditions, so this helped me understand those a little more too.
Some of the words used I couldn't even pronounce myself, but I feel like it may be one of those "fake it ti' ya make it" books where the child doesn't know if you're saying it wrong unless you tell them, so you just do that until you're able to remember the word again when you're alone and can look up the real pronunciation.
Not only were the illustrations adorable, but they also served as a seek and find game throughout the book as you search for little Leprechauns!
I recommend this book as a holiday addition to your little's library, especially if they're young enough you can use it annually for at least a few years.
{Thank you bunches to NetGalley, Liz Saunders and publisher for the eARC in exchange for my honest review!}

This book was fun to read with my son. The book is full of interesting facts and great illustrations. Even as an adult, I learned a lot of different facts about St. Patrick’s Day that I didn’t already know. The text is easy to read and flows well. This would be a fun book to read in an elementary classroom.

Brilliant history of Irish and Irish American customs and St. Patrick's Day for children. The illustrations are engaging and the text is ready to read. This is an excellent book for elementary children either in classes or this looking to celebrate Irish culture without the commercialization.

Super cute book! My daughter was born on S.t. Patrick’s day, so I love everything st Patrick’s day. This is such a cute book to teach little kids about ST Patrick’s day and Ireland! I am always looking for holiday books that gives you information about the holidays in ways the kids would love! I can come up with so many activities you can do with this book! The author did a very good job with the information and the pictures. My little one enjoyed this book and she learned more information about st Patrick’s day and Ireland then we already told her. I even learn a few new thing!
