This is the second book in the Knights of Anarchy series. I read the first book and was hooked and couldn't help but come back for more! This story continues the saga of the Norwood brothers, focusing on the second oldest, Theobald. The drama continues as Theobald is now the protector of Mistress Ingrid Seymour as she is determined to join the knights fighting for the Empress Matilda. Ingrid is a strong, determined woman who trained with her father, and after his death, was more than ready to take on her duty. The attraction between them is intense and as the plot progresses, bringing the suspense and drama to life, danger also lurks on the horizon. Theobald and Ingrid must face the chaos of warfare as they navigate the feelings building between them. A fast-paced, adventure-filled story that kept me on the edge of my seat turning the pages, anxious to see what happens next. I can't wait to read the next installment!
I received a complimentary copy from NetGalley and Dragonblade Publishing and am voluntarily leaving my review.

Fantabulous book that kept my interest from the beginning to the end! When a writer can do this then I will read a second series book. This is the second book in this series and it kept me wanting to know more about not only the families involved, but the English history of what was transpiring at that moment. It was affecting these people and their lives and believe me it was key in the development of the story line.

I won’t go into detail about the book because you can read the synopsis, but just know I am an avid reader and this series is one you should not pass up!!!

I received this free book from NetGalley and this review is willingly given in my own words and opinion!

Entertaining, Medieval Romance

Ingrid was no ordinary woman; she was a knight. She might not have been knighted by royalty, but she carried a sword and fought for her empress. On her journey, she would meet the knight she would come to love. However, secrets and villains were obstacles the two must overcome. Ingrid had a past she knew nothing about. Then, there was a villain intent on mayhem and revenge. Could Theo and Ingrid overcome the challenges standing in the way of their happiness?

This is an entertaining medieval romance. I enjoyed it and would recommend it. I look forward to what this author writes next.

Knight of Chaos by Sherry Ewing is the second book about three brothers fighting the war between Stephen and their empress, Matilda, for supremacy in England during the middle ages. The oldest, Wymar, has been sent home where his property and fortune have been restored and he has been married to the woman he loves. That leaves two brothers: Theobald and Reynard.
They are leaving to meet the rest of the army to try to take back Winchester for their mistress. Along the way, Theobald glimpses a flash of color and follows up on it. He finds a young woman dressed in men’s clothing although they don’t disguise much and he becomes her protector. She is able to hold her own in battle and his friends all adopt her was well, except for one who falls in love. This is the rest of the story.

Theobald was hurt by a woman many years before and is not longer interested. He is a warrior through and through and only wants to win the throne for his mistress, be rewarded with some property and settle down before the fire. Things don’t always work as they should. Ingrid was now an orphan. Her mother had died when she was born and now she’d lost her father. Her heart was broken. She couldn’t manage the farm by herself so she vowed to fight for the empress. She cleaned up and locked everything down and left, only to be discovered by this knight, Theobald. It was a touching story of war, the dominance of the empress, and the desire for a home. It was, in the end, a feel-good story that did its job. Thanks, Sherry Ewing for a great story.

I was invited to read Knight of Chaos by Dragonblade. All thoughts and opinions are mine. #Netgalley #Drabonblade #SherryEwing #KnightOfChaos

Trust and love for a warrior and his lady.

I am enjoying the series about the Norwood brothers immensely. This is the second book in the series following Theobald and Ingrid in a tale of trust, destiny, and love. I was fascinated by the first book and Theobald’s story just increased my enchantment with the time and these characters. Ms. Ewing did a fantastic job creating well-developed characters I immediately connected with. I was captivated by Ingrid and loved her warriorlike determination and personality. Of course, Theobald as knight and protector is honorable, loyal, and swoon-worthy. It is a standalone story, but reading the first book helped me to set the time and tone as we continue to fight for the rightful heir to the throne in twelfth-century England. I enjoyed the banter between the characters and the trust and companionship they have. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series. I received an arc of this book from Dragonblade Publishing and NetGalley, and this is my honest review.

The second in this saga highlights brother Theobald Norwood as a protector and valiant knight.

On the journey he is to protect Ingrid who wants to train as a knight protector herself!

Fast paced from beginning until the end, their attraction is palpable but as danger intrudes and trust is tested, can the two come together?

As usual Sherry hits all the wonderful parts to make her stories memorable!

This is the continuing story of the Norwood brothers. This time Theobald is front and center. The history and fiction interact well. The story will keep you wanting more. The character development is great. Even though this is a continuation of the series, it is a stand alone story. There are people from the first book, but you are able to tell who they are.
I received an ARC from Dragonblade and NetGalley and am leaving a review by my own choice.

The second book in the Norwood brothers lives. Well written with great character depth, good plot and overall engaging. There's lots of detail in the story, that slows me down as I prefer more dialogue between the characters. I like the chemistry between the two main characters. The secondary characters added to the overall pleasure of the read.

The exciting saga of the brothers Norwood continues in this fast-paced and dramatic romance, as Theobald finds himself the protector of Mistress Ingrid Seymour in her determination to join the ranks of the knights fighting for Empress Matilda. It helped that Theobald's brother had married a warrior woman who also served the Empress, making it easier to deal with his amused companions. Ingrid has trained with her father for as long as she could remember so that when he died she felt compelled to do her duty. The attraction between Theobald and Ingrid was as immediate as it was intense, although he kept his distance, waiting to see how she would cope with the rigors of war. She quickly acquitted herself well but not without making enemies, who are intent on destroying her. When meeting the Empress for the first time, she finds herself being overruled, especially as Matilda makes it her mission to establish Ingrid's background. I found the background and history of this novel interesting and with fiction being woven into fact, it brought the era into sharp focus. Although part of a series, the novel is nevertheless a standalone and comes to a lovely conclusion. I received a copy of this romance as a gift through Dragonblade Publishing and NetGalley and this is my honest and voluntary review.
