When a mystery bystander stops an assassination attempt on a prominent politician, it sparks a national search that captivates the nation in Rogue Hero by Rob Sinclair.

Curtis Delaney watches the footage play out on the news and immediately recognizes the unidentified hero. He hasn’t seen his brother Finn in six years. He doesn’t know where he’s been or what he’s been doing. But there’s one thing he does know: Finn is no hero.

The story had the right amount of tension, drama, and red herrings to keep me on my toes while immersing myself in this thriller. The story was action-packed and had well-developed characters.

I would recommend this book.

Firstly, thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

I have been a long-term fan of this author and have read all his books so when I saw this one, I knew I had to grab it. Once again, I was not disappointed, Rob Sinclair really knows how to tell a story and I was hooked from page one and read the book in one sitting.

Curtis and Finn Delaney are brothers who have not seen each other in several years. While watching the news one day Curtis sees that there has been an assassination attempt on a politician but what is more surprising to Curtis is the unlikely hero that seems to save the politicians life, he is sure it is his brother Finn. Curtis sets out to find his brother of whom he holds grudges against due to past family issues. He engages with a private detective and her handler to do so as he knows that he will be unable to do this on his own, not in the circles his brother moves in. Soon Curtis finds himself being tracked by suspect FBI and Secret Service officers and believes Finn is involved with a very rich dodgy businessman. He is determined to find Finn and in doing so will have to risk his own life and put his marriage on the line.

This is a very fast paced book that is full of intrigue, tension and suspense that will have you turning the pages quicker than ever. Totally gripping and entertaining I cannot recommend the book highly enough and can’t wait for the next one, brilliant!

A hard-hitting thriller that keeps you on your toes, Rogue Hero is an enthralling read with flawed and resonating heroes and ugly villains, packed with corporate espionage and realistic settings.

Rogue Hero is an unusual story of two brothers who become at odds. Curtis Delaney is a lawyer and his brother Finn is apparently a con man who involves himself with various rich people. When they finally reconnect, it is a scenario that I found difficult to follow if not outright confusing. Finn has become involved with some really bad men. Quite frankly, there are too many bad men, too much going back and forth in time, and dialog that will freeze your furnace. Neither of the brothers has a happy relationship with their female partners and that only adds to the things one has to keep track of.
The novel culminates in a frenzy that had me so confused I struggled to continue. I still don't really know what happened.
Thanks NetGalley for the ARC.
