This book was perfection and I need the next one. Like now. The plot was mind blowing. The banter and tension was chefs kiss perfect. The main male and female characters… I love them. The feels had me all over the place. That cliffhanger shattered me.

I really did not like the main couple in this. I liked how both characters were written and was very interested in the side characters. But, the main couple just did not work for me. The ending was a bit too neat and tidy. Why did nobody look into the issues with the drugs sooner and then when they did, poof, solution.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 10/10 ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT, READ IT NOW!
🌶️🌶️🌶️ 3/5

Filthy Rich Fae by Geneva Lee is a 5-star read for me. Sent to me as an ARC by Entangled Insiders, I was so captivated by its stunning cover and the amazing yellow sprayed edges of the roses that I had to purchase my own physical copy. This book deserves a special place on your shelf.

Set against the vibrant backdrop of modern New Orleans, the story follows Cate, a fiercely sassy heroine who strikes a dangerous bargain with Lachlan Gage, the ultimate bad boy of the fae mafia, to save her brother.

The chemistry between Cate and Lachlan is electric, featuring one of the slowest burns I've ever read. Their sharp-witted banter and sizzling tension make their interactions captivating. Geneva Lee's immersive world-building creates a dark and tantalizing atmosphere that perfectly balances fantasy elements. This is the kind of romantasy books I like to read.

I'm excited for book 2 and wish I had it now. If you love dark fantasy and slow-burn romance, Filthy Rich Fae is a must-read.

"A word of advice? Consider what you're willing to offer in exchange for your brother's life. My kind doesn't deal in mercy."

If you enjoy the "Romantasy" genre then you will love Filthy Rich Fae by Geneva Lee! I was pleasantly surprised with how quickly I ate this book up as an ARC read! Every so often a book will hook you right away and Lee's badass FMC & MMC both deliver the energy to do just that! Engaging banter, relatable characters, and intriguing rituals abound. This Urban Fantasy read rivals the likes of the Crescent City and Mortal Instruments series.

Filthy Rich Fae is incredible! There's enemies-to-lover and a lots of intrigue. It's giving Beauty and Beast and mafia vibes. Cate is independent to a fault. Lach is complicated. Both are likable in a way that made me miss them when the book was over. The magic and court intrigue are what really roped me in. The cliff hanged leaves you desperate for the next book. There are so many questions! Thank you, Entangled Publishing and NetGalley for this eARC!

I absolutely DEVOURED this! I would 10000% have eaten that apple. Please take me to the Nether Court so I can meet my own Lochlan.

I was fortunate enough to receive Filthy Rich Fae as a ARC and I was SO EXCITED! I did not read Filthy Rich Vampire previous to this, but you really do not have to, to understand what's going on. There is only a brief mention on vampires and it's not much to build the story off of.

You have you MMC who is a handsome Fae and you FMC who is a beautiful mortal. The FMC makes a bargain to save her brother who got himself into trouble. This is your usual enemies to lovers with a twist. And a cliff hanger.

This gets more of a 4.5 then a 4. Mostly because I am hooked and need to see what happens next.

Such a good book! Magic, romance, and spice. And the cliffhanger…ahhh! I hope we don’t have to wait too long for the 2nd book. I NEED to know what is going to happen next!!! This was the first book I’ve read of Geneva Lee’s. I’m definitely going to check out her others now!

This book was a good read. The first line was dynamite. It set the tone for the whole story. Cate is a tough heroine, and I love her grit. I love that she sacrificed herself for someone she cares about.

I struggled with the connection between Cate and Lachlan. I just couldn’t feel it very well. I wanted it to be there. I felt like the author told us it was there instead of showing us and letting us feel it. I wanted more emotion in the writing. The middle of the book really slowed down. I was just waiting and waiting for more. I did finish it. I liked the story, but I didn’t love it. Huge thanks to Entangled Publishing and Netgalley for allowing me to read and review this book!

I really liked "Filthy Rich Fae." Cate is an ER trauma nurse who ends up bargaining away her soul/life to fae prince Lachlan Gage to save the soul/life of her brother. At first intent only on trying to break the bargain, she eventually finds herself incredibly desirous of Lach and friends with his family, even though his own relationships with them are fraught with tension.

This book is a slow burn done well, with excellent tension that builds over time. Lach is an excellent morally grey MMC, exhibiting "touch her and die" but also prioritizing Cate's consent to their physical interactions. The secondary characters are excellent and the political turmoil intriguing. The ending was filled with plot twists and betrayals, and while most were hinted at previously, Lee did an excellent job navigating the actual reveals. And the epilogue did leave me guessing - doubting what I thought I was sure about.

4 stars and I will definitely be reading the next book in the series. Thank you to NetGalley and Entangled for a complimentary copy of this book. These opinions are my own.

I'll admit it, these types of books are usually hit or miss for me. I was very worried I'd be let down despite my love of fae stories. Happy to report that Filthy Rich Fae is a major hit for me! I loved the tension almost as much as I loved the banter. I was smirking, laughing, and gasping, and enjoying every bit of this slow burn, fae, romantasy, all the way up to that cliffhanger ending. Rude. I hate I have to wait so long to get my hands on book 2, but boy will I be excited to do so.

Thank you Netgalley and Entangled for this digital arc.

What happens when an ER nurse in the bustling metropolis of New Orleans puts herself on the line to save her brother? She goes head-to-head with Lachlan Gage, a member of the family that runs the city! Thrown into things she doesn't understand, and against her will, she must stay strong to keep her head above water and fight the feelings that she is beginning to have for Lachlan. This book is full of twists and turns at every chapter, can't wait until the sequel comes out!

This story hooked me from the start. Cate Holloway’s desperate confrontation with the Gage crime family to save her brother was intense. Lachlan Gage, the deadly yet alluring fae prince, demands her soul in exchange, binding her to his mysterious world. The plot is a captivating blend of romance and fantasy, set against the backdrop of the dangerous and magical Otherworld. The chemistry between Cate and Lachlan is electrifying, and the tension kept me eagerly turning pages. The intricate fae court intrigue adds depth to the story. With its immersive world-building and thrilling cliffhanger, this story is a must-read for fantasy romance fans. I can't wait for the next installment!

I really enjoyed this book. I've read all of the Filthy Rich Vampire series and was very interested in this spin-off. You don't need to have read the FRV series in order to enjoy this book. While I would recommend them, you will not be missing anything if you haven't read them already. FRF has elements of forced proximity and enemies to lovers in a supernatural/fantasy setting, as well the idea of being willing to do anything for those we call family. One thing I really like about both series of books is the overlapping of the real world and the fantasy world. I read plenty of books that are set in other realms or worlds but it's always fun to hear about real places, especially since I live in Louisiana and much of this book takes place in New Orleans. This is a fun and easy read that will keep you interested and ready for the next book in the series to be released!

Thank you to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for the digital ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Look, after reading Filthy Rich Vampires and now Filthy Rich Fae, I am convinced, when it comes to Contemporary Urban Fantasy, Geneva Lee can do no wrong. I'm obsessed with her writing. She's got a fantastic way of spinning a tale. Her ability to blend fantasy with our familiar world is captivating. Her characters are vibrant and easy to love. This is one of those books that I finished and just sat there hugging it for a bit cuz it was so much fun. (also that cliffhanger. MA'AM. WHY YOU GOTTA DO ME LIKE THAT)

So Filthy Rich Fae is set in the same world as Filthy Rich Vampires but in a whole new scene, New Orleans. We follow Cate as she breaks her one rule—don't get involved with the Gages—in order to rescue her brother from them. In doing so, she ends up getting swept away in the world of the Fae, a world she never dreamed of existing. As she's taken deeper into the enchanting world of the Fae, she also tries to keep her wits about her when it comes to the insanely tempting Lachlan Gage, head of the Gage family.

MY THOUGHTS:

Geneva Lee once again captured my entire imagination with this story. It's clear she did the legwork and researched a lot of the myths, folklore, and legends surrounding the Fae, because from the moment they are introduced, she's repeatedly used both commonly and uncommonly known details about the Fae. ie: do not say thank you to the fae; in order to make a bargain you need to confirm your request 3x; etc. I actually really appreciated the amount of fae folklore she slid into her story. It allowed for a deeper suspension of disbelief, which made it so much easier for my adhd brain to get caught up in the story.

The characters, as always, are a riot. Lachlan is delicious and a mystery. His sister is a riot and I want to be her best friend. Cate is spunky and headstrong, just how I like my FMCs.

I'm completely invested and am so ready for the next book.

This is a paranormal romance book set in a Mafia style setting. The characters and world is very well written. There is whitty banter and the developing relationship with Cate and Lach was great. I just felt it was way to slow. I also think that Mafia style books just aren't for me, although if that's your thing, this book is for you!!

As soon as I realized this was set in New Orleans, I was sold. With the Filthy Rich Vampire series, I knew already like Geneva Lee’s writing, so I was so excited for this one, and the payoff was amazing.
Cate is a nurse at a New Orleans hospital, owned by the Gage family, who basically own New Orleans in more ways than one. Cate makes a deal with Lachlan Gage, the fae prince, to save her brother’s life. Now that he owns her soul, she must be with him. Is it stockholm syndrome or just realizing he has the best intentions, even with his morally grey actions, who knows, but regardless, they fall for each other the more time spent together. Of course, there are fae politics that do not want them together, and he also has duties to uphold.
There is a way for her to break the bargain, but the more time they spend together, the more she has herself wondering if she even wants to.
Also I will not speak to the events in the third act of this book as that would be major spoilers but GAH my HEART! Book 2. Need now. Please.

Thank you Entangled and NetGalley for the arc!

Rating: 5/5
I received this book for my honest opinion.

FIRST OFF, I NEED BOOK TWO AND RIGHT AWAY!!!!
“And if I had to walk into hell to get her back, let me burn.”

In this book you will meet Cate Holloway, she is a nurse at Gage Memorial ER. She knows just how dangerous the city of New Orleans can be with having Lachlan Gage running the city. She has seen the overdoses that come in everyday, the gunshot victims and much more. However, she never would have thought that her brother would have gotten mixed up with that crowd until the day he came into her ER. She will do anything and everything to make sure that her brother is out from under Lachlan Gage's hands, even if that means giving up everything that she holds close to her. Will her life ever be the same? Lachlan is not just a businessman, he is a ruler of the city that he lives in and he will do whatever he can to make sure his secrets are kept safe. He thought he had everything that he wanted until one day a woman walked into his hotel demanding to talk to him.

This book will have you devouring it in one sitting, I couldn’t put it down. From the banter between the characters, the enemies to lovers, the forced proximity, touch her and die, great chemistry and of course some really good drama to stir up the pot. I loved this author's other books, Filthy Rich Vampire, so I knew that I would be getting into it when I read this, but I didn’t realize just how much I would love it. This book does start out a little slow but just know that is because it’s more character driven, but by the end you will see the plot start to come out. If you’re like me, you will be swooning and loving what Lachlan tries to do for Cate and will leave you wanting the next book right away. Also, I did not see that person being the bad guy at all. The world building was well done, the pace was great for the first book and the characters are well developed.

The characters are well written, and are easy to connect with. They have a lot of depth to them and the more you read, you see more and more of their personalities come out. I found Cate to be strong even when she was scared. I liked that she didn’t hold back with her banter to Lachlan, and wasn’t afraid to give a piece of her mind. The tension between Cate and Lachlan though is what really did it for me. I enjoy a great chemistry but this level of tension between the characters went beyond that in a great way. The slow burn in this book will have you wanting them to finally kiss and have a hot steamy scene in the book. Lachlan we didn’t get to dive too much into his character yet, but I think in the next book we will learn more about him and what is going on more.

Overall, this book was well written, great character development and the plot and build up will have you wanting the next book asap.

I want to thank NetGalley and Entangled publishing for the opportunity to review this book.
