Filthy Rich Fae by Geneva Lee is an amazing start of a new enthralling series.
I loved reading every page of this book - there literally was not one boring chapter. The world the author has created is unique and the story is so intriguing it was almost impossible to put down.

Thank You NetGalley and Entangled: Amara for your generosity and gifting me a copy of this amazing eARC!

This book was a pleasant surprise! My first foray into this author's work was not at all what I expected, but I was not disappointed! From the title, I was expecting a comedy drama about class issues and social pressures, but instead I found a trauma nurse FMC in a steamy mafia-esque romance in a fantasy world filled with people that could all have stories of their own (in fact, they probably do, or will). Fast read, if you're considering it you might as well read it, "[the hood of the Mercedes] is already dented, might as well see what other damage we can do".

Thank you to Entangled for an ARC of this as part of the Insiders read-along. Riki's guided discussions are always wonderful :)

Geneva Lee's book has got me under its spell! This book was my introduction to her work, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed! I participated in a group read-along and was only supposed to read the first eight chapters, but I just couldn't stop there. The story and characters were too good to put down and I finished in one day! Fantasy is quickly becoming my go-to genre for a good escape - from reality!

Thank you to Entangled Publishing for providing an ARC!

Absolutely delightful urban fantasy romance! I was completely drawn in to the world and its characters.

Cate, an ER nurse, has seen the darker side of New Orleans, and it’s all due to the family that owns the city-the Gages. She’s sworn never to get tangled up with them but when her brother needs help, she’s willing to make a bargain with Lachlan Gage. From there, she’s thrown into his world, one she didn’t know existed, while trying to fight the attraction she feels for Lach. The banter and slow burn is impeccable. 🔥 Lach is dangerous, mysterious, and tempting from the start. Cate is strong, determined, and fiercely loyal. Their chemistry jumps off the pages and pulls you in.

And that ending?!?! 🤯 I have so many thoughts and theories about what’s going on. Know that this ends on a cliffhanger that will leave you wanting more!

Thank you to Entangled for an advanced copy of this book.

My mind is blown after finishing Filthy Rich Fae and I loved reading this book so much that now I’m anxiously waiting for book 2! The dilemma for me is how much should I discuss/share without giving too much away? 🤔 let’s try to keep it vague😈

We get:
🩶Single POV
🩶Fae bargain
🩶Forced proximity
🩶Antagonistic banter
🩶Slow burn
🩶Touch her and die
🩶Cliffhanger

I loved the independent and nurturing nature of Cate, who literally will do whatever it takes to save her brother from a bad situation. Her journey from NOLA nurse to bargained to the fae is a wild ride. I love how she is up for the challenge and rolls with it all.

Lachlan is the mysterious powerful leader of the notorious Gage family; everyone in the city knows not to cross them or face the consequences. He’s a morally gray brooding hottie, but we peel back layer after layer as the story unfolds. We see he’ll also do whatever it takes to protect his own.

This is perfect for readers who love fantasy romance mixed with a modern setting. If you loved ACOTAR, TOG, Crescent City, then I think you’ll love this too.

There is a lot of information at the start to set the world building, and I would have loved to see a more emotional connection build between Cate and Lachlan at the start. Overall I loved this book and it’s a great start to a new series. I’m hooked! 🤗

Thank you to Entangled for the ARC. Thoughts and opinions are my own and my review is voluntary.

Thank you to NetGalley & Entangled for this book to review!

I went into this book expecting fae, romance, and fun. And while yes, this book had ALL of these things, it also had some amazing humor, banter, tension and twists and turns. I kept turning and laughing to my husband saying this book had no business being as intensely page-turning as it ended up being for me. When I say I became invested, I mean I became *INVESTED*.

The book follows a very Beauty and the Beast meets Hades & Persephone sort of plot initially, placing the two main characters in an urban fantasy setting where the FMC trades her nights for her brother being released from his own bargain with the Fae Prince. Her brother is safe and left alone in exchange for her staying with the MMC and the rest of the fae every evening until sunrise. But this particular fae family is also basically a crime family in the heart of New Orleans and there's a lot of other factors at play.

I was supposed to read this book in paced read along w/ other Entangled readers and I definitely finished this in a day. And the ending of this book is already making me count down the days until book 2 releases in January!

If you enjoy fae romances & especially if you love a little romantic suspense with your romantasy, then this book is DEFINITELY for you!

Wow! What a great read. I was hooked from the beginning to the end. I was thrown for a loop at the end. I can't wait to read the next one. I also look forward to reading Filfty Rich Vampires.

Filthy Rich Fae is an absolute must-read book. It features captivating, phenomenal world-building and a deliciously complex Fae character that you'll hate to love, alongside a powerhouse of a female main character. This is my top read of the year so far.

Cate is determined to do whatever it takes to help her brother, even if it means bargaining with Lach, the ruler of New Orleans. Despite the rumors surrounding his family, things are not as they appear. Lach is a delicious, handsome Fae. The chemistry and banter between the two is top-notch.

I’m highly impressed with the writing and fell in love with the main characters and some of the side characters. The cliffhanger is a doozy, and I can’t wait to see what happens next

Filthy Rich Fae was a quick read that was a lot of fun! With a little bit of an enemies to lovers vibe and the heroine being a captive, I flew through this book. The banter and tension was done so well. And I loved that I was already smiling and laughing after a couple of chapters in. Plus, while I thought I knew where the storyline was going, those last few pages had me so excited for what’s to come next!

Cate Holloway bargained her life away to save her brother. And she found herself trapped with the fae. Lachlan Gage was a fae, drug lord, criminal, and not someone you would ever want to cross. Yet Cate had a death wish at times. She planned to kill the fae prince, so she could escape. Yet that’s not how her story played out at all!

Cate was selfless and someone who always wanted to take care of others. Yet she definitely made mistakes. The safety, oh girl, I was laughing at you for that one. But despite her being challenging at times, I liked her. I found myself easily rooting for her! And I wanted to know every single thought she had about Lachlan!

Lachlan messed with Cate so beautifully! I loved the sexual tension between them, and it was so much fun. But most of all I loved when Lach showed us that yes, he did have a heart. Yet there were so many secrets swirling around him, and at times he seemed to speak in riddles. I couldn't help but be intrigued, just like Cate.

I was fascinated with their world and felt like we only got little peaks here and there. For not only their magic but what is beyond the veil too. I’m excited to learn more in future book(s)! And my favorite side character was Lach’s sister, Ciara. I could easily read a book just from her point of view! I’ll definitely be reading the next book!

Wow!! That’s all I can say for that ending and the story. Cate works at Gage Memorial Hospital knowing that the Gage Family of New Orleans isn’t to be crossed. She sees the result of interacting with them in her patients. But what happens when you have no choice but to involve yourself with the plague that is Gage, specially Lachlan Gage.
This story was so action packed, I had to keep reading. It felt like I couldn’t stop once I started. Part of me is also biased because I love stories set in New Orleans and this one was no different. It intertwined the known history and magic of the city in a twist I wasn’t anticipating. Magic, parallel realms and teasing enemies to lovers. So good!!! I am I little but hurt about that cliff hanger but definitely will be keeping an eye out for book 2🖤

“Death was business as usual, and tonight, business was … good?”
We meet our heroine Cate, who is a nurse in a busy emergency room in a hospital named for a prominent and notorious family, the Gages. She’s a little bored, and then two shooting victims come in by ambulance. One has pointed ears (what?), and one is her foster brother. She soon learns that her brother is indebted to the head of the Gage family, and decides to see if she can get him free from them before he becomes another statistic. In addition to the deaths by gun and knives, there is a toxic version of the local recreational drug, that is poisoning a lot of people.
She meets a handsome man eating an apple outside the hotel that is their headquarters, and he lets her in, warning her not to eat or drink anything. She eventually learns that they are Fae and that there is a whole world outside of her experience and understanding. She finds herself in a bargain with him and is transported to the world of the Fae. There is a lot of scheming and treachery, and a lot of banter between her and Lachlan Gage, the head of the Nether World of Fae (there are 4 worlds, two light, two dark). We are introduced to a lot of people, Lach’s shadow, his little brother and two sisters, and the heads of the other Fae Courts. Not everyone is what they seem to be. The novel ends on a cliff hanger, and there is at least one novel to come.
This novel is from the same world as Filthy Rich Vampire, but the world building is done here for the Fae world (pointed ears, extraordinary beauty, and a lot of cruelty). You don’t need to have read the Vampires to understand the world here.

As a nurse, Cate has sworn not to harm and do her best to help those in need. But when her brother gets involved with the notorious Gage family, she puts everything on the line to get him free. She finds herself bargaining with Lachlan Gage himself, a dangerous fae prince, until her very soul is owned by him. Will she be able to find a way to break the bargain in time before he owns her forever?

This was such a captivating read! The fae world this story is set in was really intriguing and the I found myself flying through the book to learn more. The relationship between the two main characters was filled with so much angst and tension and I couldn’t wait to see how everything played out. The last few chapters had me on the edge of my seat and I will be thinking about it until the second book releases!

Thank you so much to Entangled Publishing and NetGalley for the ARC!

It got me a little bit of time to get into it but once you hit the 40% mark you won’t be able to put it down. The intrigue really develops and keeps you hooked until the end leaving you wanting more and going crazy over the amount of time you have to wait for the next one. I loved the characters and the banter was funny and witty. The tension between Cate and Lach was so thick you could cut it with a knife. The pace was great and it was easy to understand the world the author created. I am definitely looking forward to the next one!

Geneva Lee is most definitely a witch with writing powers! Like its sister series Filthy Rich Vampires, Filthy Rich Fae is addictive, magical, sexy, and funny. The tension is top tier, the morally grey men are doing the absolute most, the FMC is a whip-smart badass, and the cliffhanger has me absolutely REELING!

Cate, a nurse in New Orleans, makes a bargain with Lachlan Gage, the fae male who runs her city like a mob boss, in order to save her brother. Splitting her time between the fae Otherworld and the human world, she finds herself the object of Lach’s affections…and protections. Constantly at each other’s throats but also bringing out the best in each other, Cate and Lach work to keep other fae courts from interfering in their lives and the lives of their friends and family.

Thank you to Entangled Publishing and NetGalley for the ARC of this delicious fantasy! I loved it and can’t believe I have to wait 7 months for book 2; I’ll 100% be reading it on release day when it’s finally here!

This was so good!! I went into this blind and was blown away!! I even ordered a special edition copy for my shelves! This cliffhanger is brutal! Oh and when you think you know what the cliffy is, buckle up because there’s more!!!!

This book is full of tension and banter and amazing characters. I was laughing out loud so many times throughout this story. The characters all felt so authentic to me. I loved Cate and Lach together! They had amazing chemistry from the beginning and I loved the push and pull between them.

Oh Lach, he was just the perfect shade of morally grey and unhinged enough to make fall in love with him. Cate was strong and feisty and brave. There are quite a few twists and secrets that are uncovered. Yes this is a slow burn but the payoff is there!

I loved the friendship she developed with Ciara and I really loved the side characters (they didn’t really even really feel like side characters.) I highly recommend giving this a read!!

This book, ohh this book, it's a brilliant blend of dark, steamy, and magic and I loved every page of it.

I read this, and then I had my Kindle read it to me and I loved it even more, Lach and Cate are perfection, the snarky banter, the sizzling tension, and the explosive... well you get the picture it's all so well done.

Now romantasy has becme my go to genre and Geneva Lee does not disappoint, the seemless blending between worlds, the family structure, the cliffhanger, ok now normally cliffhangers make me want to throw something this one had me saing what the hell, how did I not know he was evil.

Thank you to NetGalley and Entangled for providing a copy of this e-book, I have voluntarily read and reviewed it and all thouhts are my own.

This book was good but I think I would’ve loved it more, if it wasn’t a fantasy book set in a modern day world. Also the way this book is promoted makes you think this would be a Romantasy and if I’m being honest the main characters lacked in chemistry. The world building was pretty lack luster and I’m honestly tired of “author’s” lacking in creativity or not being able to come up with something new. If you read this book or the reviews even, you’ll see quite a lot of people are saying this book gives off ACOTAR vibes but we’re not saying it in a good way. It’s giving that the author was a fan of ACOTAR and she decided to publish it…

Filthy Rich Fae is a sumptuous fae novel set in New Orleans where nurse Cate accidentally makes a deal with a prince of the Nether Court in order to save her brother and then has to come to grips with her change in circumstnaces and acknowledge that the world is a lot bigger than she has ever known.
FRF is full of angst and tension and competing fae politics. On the slower burn side, but with a decent payoff in the spice department (about a 1 - 2 on my personal spice scale - I like things absolutely filthy 🥵, but good nonetheless).
This book ends with a massive cliffhanger and reveal that already has me on the edge of my seat for the next book and this one technically doesn't come out until tomorrow...uffda.

If you're a fan of this authors Filthy Rich Vampire series, you're going to love this book! Lach and Cate have all the angst, witt, humor and steamy chemistry you need from a book, and don't let me forget the mystery on why and how they actually met. I'm still trying to process what the mystery is, there's definitely pieces of the answered questions, but thankfully there's definitely going to be another book. You don't get much from the New Orleans setting other than it being Lachs home base, but if you've ever been to NO you definitely get the main sites references. Hoping I don't need to wait long for the next installment. Definitely worth the read.

Geneva Lee delivered romantasy perfection in Filthy Rich Fae. This story is electrifying and breath taking. Lachlan and Cate's enemies to lovers romance was sinful slow burn and deliciously dirty. Lachlan may be the Fae prince of Nether court ruling over New Orleans, but every dark dangerous hero needs a sassy heroine who isn't afraid to push back yet calm his rough edges. And Cate is exactly that. She may have made a bargain to save her brother, but that doesn't mean she will allow Lach to control her body and soul easily. She has been sucked into the dark and deviant and opulent Fae world but she isn't any simple woman. Fast paced. Passionate. Emotional. Filthy Rich Fae is epic.

Cate works as nurse in Gage Memorial. The Gages rule New Orleans. And she has tried to keep her brother away from their corrupt and evil clutches. But when he is brought to the hospital after being shot, she runs to find The Gages. Lachlan Gage makes a deal with her. But she didn't really know what it meant. He is the prince of Nether Court, one of the Shadow courts of the Otherworld. And he wants her to be with him..but it's not sex with her that he wants. So what does he want? As Cate tries desperately to get free of the bond, she gets to see more facets of the all powerful Lachlan Gage..she isn't sure she hates him.

Oh my god the tension between Lachlan and Cate is off the charts. Their banter is everything and it built up the chemistry too. It was a game of cat and mouse. Lachlan is going to melt your panties just one crooked smile. You can literally feel his dark charm coming off the pages. If you love antiheroes like I do..you will fall hard and fast for Lachlan. He is so mesmerizing and arrogant and over the top possessive and protective with contradictory darkness. He is just book husband perfection. And his beauty and magnetism was enhanced by Cate's fierceness. She has lived through a lot of trauma and pain. Her life isn't glamorous or powerful like the Faes. But she is rich in love and courage and compassion. She challenged Lachlan at every step. She wasn't dazzled by the opulence because she prefers her simple life. But what really made her fall for Lachlan is his vulnerability. As the prince, he has so many responsibility and he doesn't share his burden with anyone. He gets tired and lost but Cate brought a strange peace in his tumultuous life. He didn't hide his attraction but resisted it because he didn't want to drag Cate any deeper in the deceptive Fae games. But the heart wants what it wants. And Cate just obliterated all his restraints. But did you feel it's time for their happily ever after? The games have just started and Cate has just become the pawn in a war.
