Amazing story line. Lach and Cate's connection was there from the beginning. I was drawn in and couldn't believe all the twists and the direction the book ends.

Buckle up readers, Filthy Rich Fae is one intense ride. From start to finish, this book will have you on the edge of your seat and could easily be binged in one sitting. The plot was really well paced in my opinion. While there was violence and action, what I found most intriguing were the political machinations at play. With the Fae, you know they’re always up to something. Each message is layered with hidden meaning to keep you guessing, which I found fascinating. This also lead to some major plot twists and jaw dropping revelations. I also loved the dynamic between Cate and Lachlan. The push/pull they had throughout the book coupled with their sizzling chemistry had me alternating between rooting them on and wanting to pull my hair out in the best way possible. I also love the found family Cate develops amongst the Fae, especially her friendship with Ciara. Additionally, Lee did really well with the world building between New Orleans and the Otherworld. Lee also did incredibly well at distinguishing between the different Fae courts. Overall, this is a thoroughly engaging read, that will hook you from the first chapter and leave you desperate for book 2 by the time you finish the epilogue.

The summary blurb is not an accurate description of the book but I really enjoyed it and cannot wait for book #2!

Down-to-earth Cate tries to protect her brother by making a secret bargain with the head of the notorious NOLA family who also happens to be Fae. She has one month to break the bargain or be tied to the Fae forever. She spends the book building a relationship with the Fae and his Fae family before the book ends in a cliffhanger.

Can't-put-down level: 4/5
Spicy level: 4/5
World building: 2/5
Character building: 3/5
Dialogue: 4/5
Writing: 4/5

I wish the author had Cate spend more time investigating breaking the bargain. I have no idea how many books are planned for the series but it feels like this first book was really just an introduction and a chance for the reader to build a relationship and love for the characters.

Thank you to Entangled Publishing for the privilege of allowing me this ARC!

Thank you Entangled Publishing and Geneva Lee for this e-ARC.

So first and foremost, if you like ACOTAR, you will like this book.

I feel like the world developing could have been a little bit better, and more in depth.

Some parts were unbearably slow, but the banter - the chemistry - the characters - the tension all made up for that.

I wanted to know what happened so much and it stayed with me when I wasn’t able to read it.

All in all, an absolute fantastic read! The ending though!!!! I need Book 2!

ACOTAR meets Goodfellas, need I say more? This title had me plowing 😉 through each page. The bargins and traditions of the Fae meet the drama and politics of a traditional mafia. Cate is a die hard nurse in the middle of a drug epidemic. The only family she has makes a wrong move with the most powerful “person” in town and she would do anything to save him. Even if it means selling her soul. A deal in trickery turned out to be the family she never knew she needed. Cate found her home and her love. The banter and tension between Cate and Lach leaves nothing to the imagination. After she finally feels at peace with her situation, an ambush leaves Lach marked for death and Cate finds herself in the home of someone she thought to be a friend.

“Worrying is expensive. It costs you the one thing you can’t get back. Time.”

Cate makes a bargain with the wealthy, dangerous man who owns the city to help her brother. She’s now bound to Lachlan and forced into his world. We’ve got the type of fae courts that remind you of ACOTAR, but we also have the modern mafia luxury at the same time. Both going on is pretty fun even though I don’t usually read books about mafia-like families or billionaires. If you’re into those tropes, this one is enjoyable! Some aspects of those tropes are a bit cringy to me, but that might be a personal preference. Some of the dialogue and displays of wealth aren’t appealing to me, but I was still able to get past that and enjoy the story! He’s deadly, she’s spunky, and she has to figure out what he wants from her. Warning: there’s a cliffhanger!

Geneva Lee's 'Filthy Rich Fae' is an enthralling mix of magic, desire, and danger. From the moment we entered the Otherworld with Cate, I was captivated. The chemistry between Cate and Lach sizzles with tension, leaving me breathless and eager for more. And that cliffhanger? Utterly torturous—in the best possible way! I'm counting down the days until the next book.

Geneva Lee has done it again! I am awestruck at the amazing start to her next series in the Filthy Rich world.
Cate is a trauma (ER) nurse at one of the main hospitals in New Orleans. Her whole world is turned upside down one night when her brother is brought in with a gunshot wound he received after getting involved with some nefarious characters (the Gage family). Since this is her only family left, Cate decides she has to go to the top and see Lachlan Gage to try to buy her brother's freedom...
The story takes off from there and never slows down. This inaugural installment has it all: banter, action, found family, fae magic, heat, morally gray MMC, a strong willed FMC with a bit of a past, royal politics, mafia feels, and a Midnight Feast you cannot miss!! Cate is such a a strong, intelligent woman. She is so used to being the one who keeps people out of trouble, she has a hard time letting anyone in and has walls up like no other. She is unapologetically set in her beliefs and is not afraid to let ANYONE know where she stands in the best ways. Lachlan may be one of my favorite characters of all time as he brings the heat 🔥 but has so many layers that we are probably only seeing the surface of. Every interaction with him on the page was absolute fire and I can't wait to see him again in book two!
Long story short, if you have read Filthy Rich Vampires and loved the series, get this book NOW!! If you have never read a book by Geneva Lee, get this book NOW!! I promise you won't regret it!!

Ahh, where to start. This was an instant 5 stars. The banter between Cate and Lach was so intense. Enemies to lovers quarreling. The book is full friendship, loyalties, anger, happiness, betrayal and let’s not forget spice. I can’t wait for the next one! I love the twist at the end.

I LOVE this book! And I will definitely be rereading it!
It’s about a girl named cate who sells her soul to a very evil man to buy her brother’s freedom. Her brother is the only family she has. She becomes trapped in his world and meets some very interesting people along the way. There’s magic, romance, and a little spice. Definitely a slow burn.

I loved this book! I can wait for more to come out because that ending!!! I had some predictions about how the book would turn out and I’m not disappointed! I haven’t read the filthy rich vampires series yet but if this is any indication of the authors storytelling I’m ready to dive into those! Thank you NetGalley and the Entangled Insiders party for introducing me to this author and book!

Wow. Cate and Lach (okay, especially Lach) had me in their thralls from the very first page to the very last. It won't take any of Lach's "sexy magic" to keep readers engrossed in the fae lore, court politics, and intense chemistry that Geneva Lee brings to the first book in the Filthy Rich Fae series.

Having loved Lee's first paranormal series, I had high hopes for Filthy Rich Fae and it did not disappoint. There was drama, secrets, spice, and so many intriguing characters. I loved Cate as a main character. I found her to be relatable and easily understood; with every decision she made, especially in terms of her brother, it was easy to understand where she was coming from. Even when dealing with fantasy or paranormal creatures like fae, I still love to see a relatable human character and Cate had that in spades.

And Lachlan? He was basically written as a combination of so many of our book boyfriends. Gorgeous, powerful, protective, tattooed, rich... he was this perfect package of alpha bad boy, and I ate him up. His story arc gave me so much to love, and everything he did during the story for the people he loves just made him that much better.

Lee made her fae world so rich in characters. I loved having the story focus on Lach and Cate, but I could easily read spin-off stories written about any number of secondary characters. Lee didn't get relegate everyone to the background; she gave everyone personality and purpose, and it really fleshed out the reading experience.

If you've read Filthy Rich Vampires, then you know exactly what kind of ending Lee likes to give the first book in a series. Yes, you will devour Filthy Rich Fae, especially the last 20%, but you will also immediately need the next book because everything that happens at the end of this book is... a lot. I was left bereft knowing it will be a while before I can find out what happens next for Cate and Lach. If you love fae romances, or loved Lee's previous series, you won't want to miss Filthy Rich Fae.

A young women sacrifices her life for her brothers, subjecting herself to dark world of Filthy Rich Fae. Cate belongs to Lachlan Gage, a ruthless leader of New Orleans elite fae. This novel hooked me from the first page, building to an epic conclusion. Needless to say, I need the next installment after this novels cliffhanger.

This book was nearly perfect. The chemistry and banter was SO good. The world building was mediocre but that did not stop me from loving it! I can't wait for book 2!!

This is my first Geneva Lee title, and I can say she is now an auto-buy author for me.
While I had my suspicions of some foreshadowing I was not expecting what was brought! Cate is so firey and can take care of herself, Lach is a protector “No one touches you, human, fae,or any other creature without your permission.” “So enjoy yourself, because if you say no, it will be respected, or I will personally remove the offending part from the bastard’s body and choke him to death with it”

The cliff that I am literally hanging off of at the end of this book, ummm I am going to need book 2 PRONTO.
Thank you Entagled and Netgalley for my arc copy.

YALL!!!!!!!! This was my first book by Geneva Lee and when I say I'm going to read her ENTIRE catalogue 🤩🤩🤩

The book starts out on a strong note that catches your attention and then doesn't let it go. Cate is a likable FMC who mostly makes decisions that feel and are portrayed reasonably, even in unreasonable situations. There was never a point where I was like wtf no one would actually do that. Her banter and development alongside Lach was *chef's kiss* and Lach QUICKLY rose to my top tier of book boyfriends. I love him and can't wait to get more of his POV in future books (PLEASE). The story and world building have enough intrigue that you can make some educated guesses (I was always wrong) but still not predict the plot which I really appreciated.

Ugh, I have too many good things to say about this book. Please just buy it. It will make your life better.

Thank you Entangled & Netgalley for the eARC. Love you lots, mean it. ❤️

Modern Urban Fantasy with mafia vibes. The tension was real! The interruptions had me wanting to throw my kindle hahahah.

Lachlan was everything you want in a MMC. Consent is everything. The FMC was both strong and annoying at times but she was in the dark about a lot of what was going on. I had my suspicions about a particular item and I was correct. There were two things that took me by surprise in the end. No spoilers. Will definitely want to read next one.
