I love the concept of this book. Reading an ARC can sometimes be difficult, and the GIANT "ART NOT FINAL" warning on each page makes me assume that the final book will be in color. The current art is already stunning and shows potential.

The facts in this book are compelling and quickly hooked me. I have a teacher at my school that I want to gift this book because I know she will use it to amazing ends! I can see kids in my library getting excited to read this and look forward to adding it to my library!

This book was engaging and I really enjoyed the graphic novel format. It includes several stories off a variety of interesting and inspirational Black people, including historically and more current. I really liked how the title had a broad coverage of time periods and a good variety of professions.
