I loved this book. Every single second of it. I pretty much assumed I would, but it was even better and more than I’d anticipated. Liam is living his life with the love of his life, his amazing pups and truly enjoys his work of flipping/building homes. Life is pretty darn good all things considered! When an accident happens everything changes in an instant. Liams brother Brad comes to help him out and while he handles some things properly, other things go from bad to worse. His beloved dogs are through gone through a series of desperation, some lies, and some truly bad circumstances. We join the dogs on their journey to finding each other and eventually their way home so everyone can find their happily ever after. There are a lot of emotional highs and lows that very well may require some tissues. An absolutely wonderful book even if you’re not a dog person, but this may just have you heading to your local rescue to bring your own amazing fur pal home.

If you have ever owned a dog or dogs this book is for you. If you just like dogs, this book is for you. Aside from making you really like and understand the "the 3 dogs", you also get to know Liam and Sabrina and Brad. This was an enjoyable read. Thank you Netgalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I have great memories of watching animal movies with my children while they were growing up. I absolutely loved W. Bruce Cameron's book A Dog's Purpose. Needless to say, I was pretty excited to receive this digital ARC from NetGalley and Forge Books. Unfortunately, this book fell flat for me. I think it had to do with the people rather than the dogs. Liam's redeeming quality was that he loved his dogs and took great care of them. His relationship with Sabrina was nothing to write home about. They lived together but didn't communicate well. Liam made unilateral decisions about their life and expected Sabrina to follow along. Which Sabrina did for quite some time until she packed up and left--without talking about it! Communication, people! The chapters devoted to the dogs were very well written and I fell in love with the dogs--all of them. So, without the people, this would be a 5 star recommendation from me....but, I dropped it to a 3 because, well, I just did not like Sabrina, Liam or Brad. This review is my own opinion.

My grandchildren are all dog lovers and big readers, so I have been gifting them books from W. Bruce Cameron for a long time. How exciting that I could read an adult story from this author! I especially enjoyed the way it was told from the viewpoints of the dogs. Just when Liam and Sabrina are forging a family with Liam's three dogs, they are torn apart by a tragic accident. The dogs are taken to the shelter and eventually placed in separate homes. One of the dogs makes it his mission to bring them all back together with their humans. Such an inspiring and heartwarming story! Thanks to NetGalley, Forge Books and the author for an advance copy to read and review.

My thanks to Net Galley, Tor, and Forge for allowing me to review this WONDERFUL book!!

When a tragedy separates 3 dogs from their owner, they do everything in their power to find their way back to each other. I like the way the story is told from the POVs of the dogs from their new homes.

I highly recommend this book., look forward to more from this author and please send me an invite to the next book!

You want to know how much I loved this book, well it took me 24 hours to finish it. I kept wanting to know what was going to happen to Liam, Sabrina, Riggs, Luna and Archie and I couldn't wait to find out. Who doesn't like a story that involves dogs.
Although, I found parts of the story fanciful, I loved how the story ends. I love the journey all the characters take and the experiences they have but I didn't like the reality the dogs found themselves in when they were suppose to have found safe homes and how because we don't understand them, they get the raw end of the stick. I liked how smart Luna is, how brave Riggs is and how goofy Archie is, and I like that there is a happy ending. I like that some of the street dogs found their forever home.

In this story as in real life, It makes me sad that all these wonderful people who want to help dogs and cats have to do the most horrendous thing because others aren't responsible enough not to breed extra pets.

I want to thank Tor Publishing Group | Forge Books and NetGalley for an advance copy of a book about the love of dogs.

Do not start reading this book without a box of kleenex by your chair. Be sure to warn everyone you recommend the book to after you finish that it's an emotional story that will make them cry too. There is not a chapter that will not have you pulling for these pups to get their "pack" back. Now, I have to go hug my pups.

So my main negative was that the book is written in 3rd person, which took so long to kind of get into the flow of reading. But the 3rd person was so necessary to be able to get the thoughts and actions of all of the characters. The entire book made me hold onto my senior pup even more. The love and perseverance of these 3 dogs were amazing . I also absolutely adored the epilogue as well, getting all of the dogs ending was perfect.

The book as a whole gave me Homeward Bound vibes.

Thank you to NetGalley and Tor Publishing Group for the ARC!

I cannot express this enough. If you have never read a Bruce Cameron book read one. I have never been let down by one of his books. This book is no different. I loved the dynamics of all three dogs. Each one is as unique as any dog you will find in a home. That there are three in this pack is perfection. They play off each other beautifully, and the way they each go through their trials and tribulations just is testament of how much a dog can love their humans. Add in Liam and Sabrina’s stories and they all play off each other to really show the power of having the perfect pack. This book is just beautiful.
Thank you so much to Tor Publishing Group and Netgalley for allowing me to read an advance copy of this title.

This was my first book by this author and I totally loved it. The story mostly told from the viewpoints of the dogs, was gut wrenching at times. It made me want to wrap my dog in my arms and bawl. It took me several days to finish, but that last night I was determined to finish it. There was no way I was going to be able to sleep until I knew there was a happy outcome.

The dogs all belong to one man and his girlfriend, but circumstances tear them away. They all end up with different stories before they come together again. It had a great ending, so don't worry.

Thanks to Tor Publishing Group and NetGalley for the copy. All thoughts are my own.

A heartwarming journey of reunion. It shows unconditional love. The story is about three dogs who get separated from their owner.

W. Bruce Cameron has written another wonderful novel about dogs and their owners. I was definitely teary-eyed at times. The book is both sad and very heartwarming. I read it in a day because I had to find out what happened to the dogs.

The story is told from the point of view of the dogs for most of the book. Riggs, an Australian shepherd, is the alpha rule follower who will do anything to get his pack back together. The smart Jack Russell, Luna, helps the dogs survive. Archie, the silly labradoodle, is the new addition to the pack and follows the other two. After a tragic accident, the dogs are sent to a shelter and adopted. We follow Riggs, Luna and Archie on their individual journey and their journey together. While the ending was predictable, I still loved the book. The epilogue was a nice addition to tie up the other dog characters that were encountered throughout the story.

Thank you to Tor Publishing and NetGalley for the arc copy.

Owning 3 dogs is not for the weak! This is a story about a family of dogs and their adventures as they try to get back to being one big happy family with their humans. I enjoyed this book. There is some dog abuse, and certainly, neglect in the storyline.

As you would expect from a Bruce Cameron story, My Three Dogs is a heartwarming tale about a family, love, loss and hope of reunification. But it’s also a story that truly pissed me off, because it was proof of how many people shouldn’t have dogs. (Based on some of the character’s actions, they shouldn’t have had children either.). My last two adopted fur kids were both found wandering the streets. One even had a chip but with a disconnected phone number. So, I’m a little passionate about this.
Liam goes out on a limb when he buys Archie off a man who had been unwillingly saddled with his care. Archie is Liam’s third dog. And with many other things, it’s a decision Liam makes without consulting his live-in girlfriend, Sabrina. That leads to a cascade of actions that cause things to go horribly wrong for the pups.
The reader needs to be willing to accept the anthropomorphism of the three dogs, as we are privy to all their thoughts. Parts of it reminded me somewhat of “The Incredible Journey”, for those old enough to remember that Walt Disney classic.
The book is a reminder of the time commitment necessary to have a dog. Not one individual was ever shown training a dog. Too many couldn’t even be bothered to take basic care of them.
This is not a believable book, but it’s incredibly moving. Keep the tissues handy! This is perfect for those of us who love our own (and all other dogs).
And can someone explain the book cover to me? Did the publisher not know what an Australian Shepherd looks like?
My thanks to Netgalley and Tor Publishing for an advance copy of this book.

As the owner of three dogs I had to pick this one up!

Thank you NetGalley for the advanced copy!

This was a cute, quick read. I enjoyed reading about the adventures these three pups went on and how Riggs, Archie and Luna all adapted differently to the situations they found themselves in.

I was sad at times thinking about my own dogs and if something like what happened in the story happened to them and I was also to quickly figure out how this one would wrap up which is why I'm landing at a solid 3.

The writing was a little sophomoric as well and it reminded me of a book that wold be better suited for middle grade or youth.

Recommend for anyone who has dogs!

I admit - I chose this book because of the author. I love/hate his other work. Love the stories and the almost always happy endings that are easy-quick reads. I hate the way they bring out how bad humans are to some of the best creatures.

I made it almost all the way thru without tearing up. It was another successful portrayal of how dogs are magnificent creatures and the power of their love for their people!

W. Bruce Cameron does it again! I was ecstatic when I got approved for this ARC, and it delivered, and then some! Nothing brings me to tears more than being inside the mind of woman’s best friend.

Doggoned Delightful!
Dogs add a lot of enjoyment to our lives. They certainly added a lot of enjoyment to this book!
Small builder Liam is leading a pretty happy normal life with his girlfriend Sabrina and his three dogs and is making significant plans for the future when a tragedy rips into all their lives and destroys their current happiness. I will not reveal much more about this aspect of the plot, but I will say that Liam, Sabrina, and Liam’s brother Brad came alive for me as real people, someone I might know from the neighborhood, with good points and flaws. I really enjoyed little touches like when Liam fires a subcontractor because of his mistreatment of dogs. I very much wanted all the best for them.
The real “characters” of the book, though, are the three dogs: playful lovable Jack Russell Luna, Australian shepherd Riggs, and labradoodle Archie. They also came across as believable and sympathetic, although I confess I cannot claim to have seen into a dog’s mind deeply enough to know if their feelings and reactions are true to life. Most of the story is from the viewpoint of the dogs as they suffer separation from their humans and, equally saddening, from each other. I cared about what would happen to them as much as I did the humans. Cameron truly shows the skills of a master storyteller as he traces the adventures of pack leader Riggs, energetic Luna, and six-month-old Archie, who is thrilled to have found a pack to join and does not want to lose it. As with the humans, there are wonderful little touches, such as when they compete by lifting their legs to see who would leave the final “mark” on a spot.
Before I even finished My Three Dogs I started making a list of all my doglover friends to make sure they hear about the book, but you do not have to be a dog person to get immersed into the world of Liam, Riggs, Luna, and Archie and their human companions.
I am delighted to have received an advance review copy of this wonderful book from NetGalley and Tor Publishing.

This is probably a very nice story for animal lovers, but it doesn't do anything for me. I can cuddle with a cat or dog, but it's not a need as it is for some people; those are the people who will likely love this story.

First- I did not finish the book and only read about a third of it. Cute, but just not for me.

Thank you NetGalley for an advance copy. Honest opinions expressed here are freely given.

A typically sweet W. Bruce Cameron book and fast read. When a tragic death separates three dogs, they are sent to the shelter for adoption. And, they are adopted, just not all together. Riggs, the loyal Australian shepherd is determined to get his pack back together. So starts the adventure and reunion.
