This story took me for a ride! I went in completely blind, and was absolutely enthralled with the lies and deception that unfolded as the story played out. In a town where perception and status matters, all is not as it seems when Holden Knight waltzes into Rowan’s world, throwing an even bigger wrench into her tumultuous relationship with her family and their failing business. He is arrogant yet charming, is ruthless in all things business, yet he seems to be the only one that truly sees Rowan for everything that she is.

Rowan was so damn smart and capable, but no one in her family saw her for anything more than a pretty face, truly the face of the company, but nothing else. The flashbacks to his past absolutely ripped my heart out of my chest and stomped all over it, each one giving one more piece to the puzzle of his life and what truly happened to cause him to become so cold. This book was the perfect mix of forbidden romance and steamy scenes to keep me enthralled right up until the last page! Looking forward to the seeing what happens after that cliffhanger!

This was my first K. Bromberg book and TBH I wasn’t gonna apply for the ARC as the cover didn’t really catch my eye. However I read the blurb and it sounded good, plus I love the enemies to lovers, revenge, alpha-hero tropes so I decided to sign up … and holy mother of god I’m so glad I did!! This book is definitely in my top reads of 2024. The only negative I can give is that I didn’t realize it ends on a cliffhanger which is my fault for not knowing.

First let’s start off with our FMC, Rowan. This woman has sass, bite, smarts, and a drive to take over her families business. Even if it’s in the hands of her idiot brother who only gets it because of what’s between his legs. To lay it out for you, where Rowan is from the patriarchy is alive and everyone is still living in a world where women are meant to look pretty, carry babies, attend luncheons, and serve their husbands … the total opposite of EVERYTHING Rowan stands for. Oh and the man that’s supposed to love Rowan is her brother’s best friend and his little lap dog that does whatever he’s asked even if it hurts Rowan. Needless to say I’m so not a fan of either of those two asshats.

Now onto Holden who’s come back to his hometown to get revenge on those who ruined his family. He didn’t grow up rich, he grew up on the wrong side of the tracks. No one remembers him or his family, the rich don’t remember what’s beneath them in this town. But they want to know the Holden of now, the one who’s made a name for himself, the ones that’s rich, little do they know that he plans on taking them down. What Holden didn’t plan on was Rowan. She’s nothing like the rest of them and she’s the one distraction he can’t afford.

I absolutely DEVOURED this book. Rowan and Holden are definitely a slow burn but the chemistry between them is palpable and I am so invested in their story. You could feel the jealousy radiating off these characters when the other was near someone of the opposite sex. There was so much going on in this book from past to present and what’s going to happen next that it had my emotions all over the freaking place. I don’t know when book 2 is coming out but you can bet your ass that I’ll be pouncing on it the second it does.

I need book two NOW!!!

Rowan has always been underestimated and is out to prove there is more to her than people realize.

Holden has held onto a grudge for a very long time and is ready to exact his revenge. However, he did not plan on Rowan, or rather, who Rowan is today.

Kristy does a really great job of blending the tension and chemistry between Holden and Rowan as well as their opposing goals for Rowan's family's business.

I love that this was a page-turner from the start and kept that momentum til the very end. And then left me wanting more, so much more immediately. I cannot wait for book two.

I consider myself a well read connoisseur of the billionaire romance genre and I can tell this series is going to be one of my go to reads. Holden Knight is delectable. I love that book 1 provided his back story because it helps make him a well rounded character.

Oh Rowan. She makes you want to root for her and she has some great moments in the book.

So as mentioned above it is book 1 of a series. However, I feel it’s only fair to warn it is not a series of interconnected standalone where you get a happily ever after at the end of each book. The story line in book 1 does end on a cliffhanger and my oh my what a cliffhanger it is!

I will absolutely be picking up book 2 as soon as it’s published as I’m dying to know what happens next!

This was an enjoyable read with characters that had depth.
There were no lulls and every plot point you could tell was written with purposes as were the scenes with spice. Everything was there to move the story along which was so appreciated.
I loved getting to know more about Holden- and his back story gives us readers an understanding (even if it’s just a glimpse) as to why he is the way he is.
So curious to see how this plays out with the next book!

Kristy has done it again and I love her books so much. She kills it every time.

I am a sucker for a good revenge plot line and man was this so freaking good. I loved Rowan and Holden together. The banter and tension between these two was so fun. I also love secret relationships and high stakes forbidden romance.

I truly think this is my favorite K. Bromberg book there was just something about this tory that stuck with me. I loved it. Though it does end on a bit of a cliff hanger, don't let that steer you away from picking this one up!

Did I want to die when I realized this wasn't a standalone? Yes. But that was my own fault for not paying attention.... I was hooked by the end of this book and the cliffhanger had me gasping! I loved the enemies to lovers vibe, and the chemistry between Rowan and Holden was palpable. I didn't think I was super into the corporate romance vibes, but this was perfect. I literally can't wait for the next book to satisfy my curiosity!

Y'all this is SO entertaing! You couldn't have asked for better se*y banter!! The charcters are fabulous, mysterious. It's an enemies to lovers, workplace romance like you've never read!

I really liked this book! I love Rowan and Holden. They have such great banter with each other. I do think this book was a bit slow at the beginning, which is what kept it from a full 5 star read. I liked the story and how it is centered around her family's liquor company. It's a great workplace romance. After the cliffhanger it leaves off on, I need the next book now!

Anything written by K. Bromberg is an absolute hit in my opinion!

Who doesn't love a billionaire romance? Rowan comes from a wealthy family who is expected to live a normal life when all she is wanting is to run the family company. Holden is coming in a the CEO of the company. From the out set, they have a great vibe about them. The banter and chemistry between them is almost instant but with Holden being the next CEO, they hate each other. There are a couple flash backs in the story which I love as you get the background of why Holden is wanting to take revenge on the family and company. Rowan wasn't someone who you would mess about. She is a total girl boss.

I loved these funny moments you get between them where you can see something blossoming and those smut scenes....

This story follows a billionaire Holden Knight who takes over Rowan’s company but she has wanted to save it so she’s trying to do her best to get to Holden. I have been excited to read this book and I have to say that I was happy with the way this story turned out. I loved the storyline and how there was so much backstory to why this was all happening. It’s not a typical billionaire romance but a touch of suspense to keep you interested. I do have to say that the beginning was a bit hard to get into but once you do, you don’t want to stop reading. This book is told from Holden and Rowan’s pov with some of Holden’s past pov.

Rowan is the FMC of the book who wants to be more of the family business but after Holden is coming in she isn’t sure how she will do that. I really enjoyed her character and how hard she fights for herself. I’m excited to see more of her in the next book. Then we have Holden who has had a terrible past and is trying to get revenge now. I like his perspective but seeing how it’s also changing because of Rowan. We do have some side characters but none that are taking the spotlight at the moment. The romance is enemies to lovers, forced proximity and billionaire romance.

The ending is well done and ends with a minor cliffhanger. I’m excited to see how this series perceads especially with everything that went in this book. This book is perfect for those who are fans of Kings of Sins and The Ravenhood.

I was so excited for this one when Kristy announced she's releasing a trilogy with Bramble Romance. The tropes are everything that I love. I immediately love and feel bad for Holden!!! Kristy sure knows how to write a broken hero.

Rowan's brother pretty much sold the family business to Holden Knight, and they don't know that he's out for revenge!!! I'm over here biting my fingers. Lol What's going to happen next?!!! What's going to happen when she finds out he's out for revenge only? Especially when she's falling for him? Ahhhh!!! Lol the things that come out of Holden's mouth though...I'll be falling for him too. 😏⁣

This is K Bromberg at her very best! Twisted Knight is the kind of story that consumes every spare second of your time. Holden Knight is the type of billionaire alpha we all love. The cold, reserved, arrogant one who’s successful, always one step ahead and god damn hot! In the world of business and takeovers lies a secrecy of corruption and revenge.
Knights past which slowly unfolds
being the driving force of said revenge and when that’s revealed you full back him for it! But how does that fit in with Rowan? Although a member of the family he seeks revenge on, these two have an intense chemistry from the first time their eyes meet. Rowan is feisty and strong, she’s the brains and although her family undervalue her , Holden sees the success she drives, as he uses her dream of being more in the company to his advantage there is no denying the sparks and desire these two have. With characters we despise, the characters we can’t quite work out and the ones that become our favourite. Rowan and Holden relationship is filled with lust, wit and banter, chemistry and steam. From beginning to end we see Knight change, from stand offish despite instant attraction to the unknown feelings Rowan gives him. And just when things seem to be on track, deceit and lies come leaving us on the edge of our seat needing more now!

The intense dynamics between Holden and Rowan drive the whole dang story! This book had me by page one! K. Bromberg REALLY KNOWS how to hook you with a cliffhanger that leaves you hanging—seriously, I wasn’t ready for that! But I’m always down for her books, and this one has me addicted. I truly don't mind surprise endings. There's satisfaction in having to wait for more!

Rowan: A Tenacious little thing! I really appreciated her whole Boss Girl vibe. She's what a lot of us crave in and FMC; she has the ability to stand on her own two feet!

Holden: He's constantly at war within himself, and has anger that fuels many of his actions. We had to slowly piece together every aspect of his past to understand his intentions as far as the revenge plot went.

Overall, the story felt lengthy but never dragged on; there was always something happening. I appreciated how Holden's backstory was woven in, helping us understand his motivations. The way it was trickled in kept me wanting more. I really enjoy when authors lead us down a trail rather than doing an information dump all at once.

O!M!G! I devoured this book!!! Holden will make you feel all the feelings. You will cry for the young boy he was and the grown man will have you going back and forth between want to throw something at him and throwing yourself at him. And Rowan?? I love her! While she loves her family, and honestly puts up with too much of their crap, she marches to the beat of her own drum. She refuses to follow the dream that everyone has planned for her because she wants more. She is smart, funny and sassy! The sever room scene? Gold!!! The trip to New York?? If you haven't fallen for Holden by then, this will send you over the edge!

The book does end on a cliffy that will have you screaming WTH????????

This was my first book of K. Bromberg and I'm in love! This was one of the greatest revenge plots I've read in a while! It is a very in-depth plot with many details. The amount of betrayal, revenge & back door deals happening in this book was alot!

Rowan Rothschild is a strong, independent and intelligent women, but born to a very old school family that believes that men are to work and women are to volunteer. So her desire to one day run their multi-generational business falls to deaf ears. Now everything she's ever worked for is about to slip right through her fingers.

Holden Knight is set on getting payback. He's spent 15 years planning to ruin the Rothschild & Williams family and everything is going to plan except for Rowan. While he's still set on his plan for revenge, he doesn't know how Rowan would react or fit into his life.

At first I thought Holden was an ***hole, but honestly he was right in so many aspects. When he called Rowan out several times for her wanting to be leader of the business, but she wasn't actually standing up for herself. Although Holden's actions will seem like betrayal, I think he helped her grow as a businesswomen & taught her to stand up for herself.

The chemistry between Holden & Rowan was off the charts! Instant attraction & hatred. It was a slowish burn, but aftermath was worth it!! I LOVED how their relationship developed. They both challenged each other and boy was it fire!

I am a person that believes in letting divine power issue karma, but I fully support Holden! Those people deserve what's coming to them! Just hope Rowan doesn't get burned as well. Also wondering how Holden might grovel in the next book🤭👀

That was an ending I didn't expect, but honestly loved! Although I do wish Rowan didn't act out of anger & talked to Holden, but I'm here for the drama that's to come! 😁😁

Loved it and the story was great and it was great from start to finish. Holden was favorite alpha hero had me swooning at every page.

As someone who’s enjoyed this author’s formula 1 series, I was really curious about this book. Who doesn’t love a romance about enemies to lovers and revenge! The plot already had me sold and boy I wasn’t disappointed. Holden and Rowan’s steamy love story had me hooked from the first page. The tension, chemistry and banter between them was done so perfectly. It also made the buildup between these two even more satisfying. I had a hard time putting this book down especially with all the drama and angst. All the twists and turns kept me wondering what would happen next. Not to mention, the dual POVs really made this story even more entertaining and I always want to know what they’re thinking. Also, be aware that this book ends in a cliffhanger. Overall, I really enjoyed this story and can’t wait to read the next book in this series especially after that ending.
