This is my first K. Bromberg book and OMG it did not disappoint. I didn’t realize that this book was a part of a series and THE ENDING STOP IT RIGHT NOW! I screamed. literally.
I loved the writing this book, especially the writing for our two main characters Holden and Rowan. Rowan comes from a wealthy family, but her family doesn’t think that she can run the family business so incomes Holden the new CEO which automatically creates the perfect enemies to lovers story. The tension amazing, the banter incredible, the chemistry out of this world. they are perfect together and I was screaming for them to get together so bad throughout the entire book and then the ending hit and I screamed even louder.
this is an incredible book and incredible build up, and I cannot wait for this series to continue. I will be thinking about this book 24 seven now it’s truly amazing and I think anyone who loves enemies to lovers and office romance this book is for you!
Rowan is the face of the family business, she wants to have a more hands on approach when her family would rather her marry and leave the business to her brother. Rowan isn’t going to go down without a fight. Holden is dead set on revenge to make the ones that destroyed his family pay. He gets everything accounted for but the one thing that he didn’t expect was to see Rowan and how much she had changed. The chemistry, connection and heartache were intense. They start of as enemies, but you slowly see them notice that something else is there. This book does end on a cliffhanger that waiting for the next book is going to be torture.
I’m very conflicted about how I feel about this book. My actual enjoyment level was probably around 3 stars, but I rated it 4 stars because I didn’t realize this was a billionaire romance going into it (I generally don’t like billionaire romances). So, that obviously was a big factor to me that I don’t think it’s fair to knock the book for. That being said, this book did deliver on some very fun tropes, including: enemies to lovers, revenge plot, and a secret workplace romance. The romance was fun, the steam was very steamy, and overall this was the kind of book anyone who enjoys billionaire romances would probably love.
Thank you to NetGalley, Bramble, and K. Bromberg for providing an e-ARC in exchange for an honest review!
Wow what a twist! First this novel does end on a cliffhanger so be prepared !
We have two main characters both pretty much are against the same two people who have ruined there lives. The problem is that our main girl Rowan's family business is involved in revenge and deceit, making it almost impossible to climb to the top which happens to be her dream and even harder when Holden shows up and buys her company and then shows up daily in her life challenging her and pushing her to her limits. The problem is that Holden actually causes her to feel lightening something she never thought she would feel. The bigger problem she might just be a pawn in Holden game of revenge.
It was a very good read, slow burn but man did it burn. Revenge, twist and turns, family drama, death of family members, and spice.
Thank you K. Bromberg for allowing me to read this first novel! I can't wait to find out what happens next! Thank you Netgalley!
This book is crazy!!! I will admit that it started out slow to me and I almost quit on it, which including putting it down and then picked it back up. I am really glad that I did that. Once I got over the hump and the story got more interesting, I was hooked! I had to see how all it would play out and why Holden was doing what he was doing to Chad and Rhett. Oh and what was his plans with Rowan?
So all this time Holden had a plan of revenge, he wanted to take down the guys who ruined his life. He was from the wrong side of the tracks and honestly was treated like trash from the rich and snobby kids. He got out and was able to make a name for himself. He's got money and now all he wants is to take out the trash. He plays the game so well that you almost think he has a heart. He does know how to wine and dine Rowan though. These two have a passionate connection, which is mostly in private due to her status in the world. He knows how to treat her well.
Rowan is from the Rich and powerful world. Her parents hold status in their world and have a image to uphold. Her brother is the heir and the one in charge but he's also ruining their business and legacy brick by brick. She's not to supposed to work. Her job is to look pretty and marry the right guy but she goes against the normal. She's works with the family business but will never be CEO. She's kinda just held on to it being a dream until Holden.. He challenges her to stand up for herself and speak her mind. He also makes a deal with her but you'll see how that turns out when you read the book.
The book was good and action packed. It will keep you reading until the very end. Even with the ending, it will have you wondering what happens next! It does end on a cliffhanger.
THE ENDING WAS SO UNFAIR. I AM SO MAD!!!!!!! What the ever loving cliffhanger!
Holden and Rowen. The fucking best chemistry I have ever eyeball read. I am not even kidding. Their chemistry was chefs kiss!
All the banter. All the steamy goodness. ALL. THE. THINGS.
💙 revenge plot
💙 secret romance/he’s the boss
💙 morally gray MMC
💙 Robin Hood undertones
💙 possessive MMC
I NEED BOOK TWO IMMEDIATELY.
Thank you Valentine PR and the author for the ARC opportunity!
Rowan and Hayden story was so interesting. I really like the romance. I like the fact that it was enemies to lovers boom it hit me just like that I was like.😱 . So great. it was everything I was expecting and want it from this book. I love how it was written. It was very natural as if it was happening in real life. I loved it.
3.5 stars
Twisted Knight is a steamy enemies to lovers workplace romance with an intriguing revenge plot. The two MCs Rowan and Holden were very different and interesting in their own ways and I enjoyed the dual POV. Rowan is the face of her family’s company but would prefer to be CEO, and Holden is a wealthy standoffish businessman with a lot of secrets. I enjoyed their interactions and the forbidden aspect and the spice was good. There was a definite cliffhanger which had me wanting to read the next book and I’m really interested in seeing how the revenge plot plays out.
Thank you to Tor & NegGalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This book surprised me in the best way!
I didn't expect to give it 5 stars!
I loved it. The characters were so fleshed out.
Enemies to Lovers
Revenge
Boss x Employee
I ate this up, I devoured it. It was an easy fast paced read, and i really enjoyed it!
If there's one thing that really stayed with me about this book, it's that evil as heck cliffhanger. I honestly did not expect (nor did I know) that 1) there would be a cliffhanger and 2) that this was part of a interconnected series, so if you plan to start this book, be warned, it's not a rough ending and you will want the sequel immediately. That being said, Twisted Knight isn't particularly special, it's the kind of angsty, romance novel with a revenge plotline you've read before but I do think K. Bromberg executes the blend of tension, steam and revenge well. I did enjoy the overall experience, there were moments of high tension that made me turn the page faster while there were slower chapters that made me want to savor the moments between Holden and Rowan. I will definitely be picking up the second book, especially after that ending.
This being the first book I have read by this author I wasn’t really sure what to expect. This is an enemies to lovers romance. Holden Knight had some associations with the Rothschild family when he was younger and because of that he has returned to town to take over their company. Now Holden arrives mysteriously and the town is questioning who he is and what he wants. At a charity event where Holden beats Rhett out of bidding on a painting he is approached by Rowan. Rowan who I wanted to like but just couldn’t. She is determined to save her family’s company so she can run it. But, she is just running in circles because her family keeps her in the dark and does things behind her back, like selling a majority of stocks in the company. Now, Rowan is attracted to Holden but also in what I consider a bizarre plot move tells Holden all these family secrets and she doesn’t even know who he is. For someone who is so protective of this company why would she share inside secrets? Holden is really all about getting revenge for the past and as he begins to work with Rowan he begins to want her too. Now this book is a slow burn because they don’t get together until more than halfway through the book. But, Holden enjoys playing cat and mouse games with Rhett, Rowan and Chad (the COO and Rowan’s potential husband). I enjoyed the book all the twists and turns and backstabbing was so juicy, but this book ends on a cliffhanger so I must wait to see what’s going to happen next.
This is my first book by K Bromberg and it absolutely won’t be my last! This book had me in a chokehold and I didn’t want it to end.
I absolutely loved the dynamic between Rowen and Holden. There was so much chemistry, attraction and angst. Rowen was such a strong fmc. She knew exactly what she wanted and wasn’t going to let anything stand in her way especially when it came to her families business. I don’t even know where to start with Holden. I was obsessed with him from the very beginning. He was so mysterious and determined to ruin the Rothschild family’s business. There was so many twists, turns and drama especially in the last half of the book. The cliff hanger ending just killed me and I need to know what happens ASAP!
Thank you so much to K Bromberg and Valentine PR for allowing me to read this ARC!

Twisted Knight by Author K Bromberg is a wild and twisting tale.
In a town where pretty faces matter and perception is key, we get to follow a complex story.
Rowan is thought of to be just a superficial pretty face by her family. As ruthless as Holden is, he seems to see her for all of her, as she is. The problem is that revenge is his primary focus.
With steamy, forbidden romance and an epic cliffhanger, you will be hooked.
Wow! I absolutely loved this book. Amazing characters and wonderful plot. Very beautifully written and easy to read.
Rowan is a daughter of a wealthy parents. She’s constantly overshadowed by her brother, even though she’s better and smarter than him and can easily run the family business.
Holden is determined to avenge his brother. But he never expected to be attracted to Rowan. I loved their fiery bunter and interactions. Their chemistry and passion were so palpable and sizzling.
Overall I loved this book very much and can’t wait for more. If you’re looking for a boss/employee, enemies to lovers, billionaire, workplace romance then you’re going to love it.
Book Review: Twisted Knight by K. Bromberg
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 | 🔥🔥🔥/5 Spice
Twisted Knight by K. Bromberg blew me away as the first book in her Tangled Hearts series. This enemies-to-lovers, billionaire romance had everything I love in a steamy, tension-filled story. Holden Knight, the mysterious and driven MMC, steps in as the CEO of Rowan’s family business with one goal—revenge. But Rowan Rothschild, our smart and ambitious FMC, isn't about to let him walk all over her, especially since her family doesn't appreciate her value.
Their chemistry sparks right from the beginning, and the banter between them was chef’s kiss. Despite their clashing goals, Holden and Rowan can’t resist each other, and their romance is a fiery mix of passion and power struggles. I loved how Rowan wasn’t a pushover—she’s strong, capable, and holds her own in and out of the boardroom, especially during the steamy scenes.
The audiobook narration added so much depth to the characters and the tension, and I highly recommend it for a fully immersive experience. And the cliffhanger? Let’s just say I’m eagerly awaiting book two! K. Bromberg has officially become an auto-buy author for me.
Tropes:
Billionaire Romance
Enemies to Lovers
Revenge Plot
Workplace Romance
Forbidden Attraction

Twisted Knight was a very different book then I first expected it to be. We read the story of Holden Knight and Rowan Rothschild. Holden is out for revenge, and he is determined to get his way. Rowan has always wanted to work for her families business, but when Holden ends up in her way she might lose it all.
The chemistry between Holden and Rowan was amazing. Even though they definitely where enemies, it’s clear there is more between them right from the start.
Honestly it took me a little while to really get into this story. But the further I got, the more I enjoyed the story. Holden really was a bit of jerk, but I was also really intrigued by his character.
The romance was fun and I loved those banters between Holden and Rowan. I really didn’t expect this book ending up in a cliffhanger though. Looks like I’ll have to be patient!
Twisted Knight is an enemies to lovers, office romance that was simply delicious! I loved Rowan! She was smart and driven. She knew her brother was a moron and the fact that she didn't just slap her mother is a true testament to her good character. Her mom was so annoying. I did kind of wish Rowan wouldn't always take the high road and let the family walk all over her though. This is certainly an "enemies to lovers" vibe since Holden wants revenge on Rowan's family, but he figures out quickly she is not like them. But, I loved his story-his reason for wanting revenge was righteous for sure and you just had to love him! The push/pull between Rowan and Holden kept me engaged despite hating her family so much I didn't think I could take any more.
K. Bromberg is a popular author whose books I am constantly seeing as recommendations. My first K. Bromberg book, Flirting with 40, was a huge success and I went in expecting to love the other work of the author. Unfortunately, such has not been the case. I read and struggled with The Player duet, and then the same thing happened with the first book in the Play Hard series. I thought it was that I did not mix well with the author’s sports romance, which is why I went into Twisted Knight with high hopes.
I will be honest and say that the first few chapters of Twisted Knight had me hooked. It sucked me in with ease and had me deeply invested in what was going to play out. In fact, the start of the book left me convinced that my belief about it just being Bromberg’s sports romance that I did not mix with would prove to be true. Unfortunately, this feeling changed the more I progressed. For me, there was far too much time spent focusing on the minutiae of the business to allow me to feel the connection between the characters. In fact, they spent so much of the book against each other that I found it hard to believe that there could ever be something between them. Due to this, I found my attention wavering and I became focused on the little things that niggled at me. Such as repeated use of words, some word misuses, and other little grammar things that would not have caught my attention if I had been enjoying the book. The fact that I was more focused on these elements than the story itself is why I ended up rounding my rating down.
All in all, I am using this as a sign that K. Bromberg is not an author for me. Many clearly enjoy their work - and I can see why when there are sparks of things that interest me - but they do not work consistently well enough for me.
Really enjoyed this story. The growth of the characters, the long term plans & the rebelling against what they are pushed into. I did not expect to be left hanging at the end, so I hope the next book comes out soon.
