Twisted Knight by K. Bromberg blew me away as the first book in her Tangled Hearts series. This enemies-to-lovers, billionaire romance had everything I love in a steamy, tension-filled story. Holden Knight, the mysterious and driven MMC, steps in as the CEO of Rowan’s family business with one goal—revenge. But Rowan Rothschild, our smart and ambitious FMC, isn't about to let him walk all over her, especially since her family doesn't appreciate her value.

Their chemistry sparks right from the beginning, and the banter between them was chef’s kiss. Despite their clashing goals, Holden and Rowan can’t resist each other, and their romance is a fiery mix of passion and power struggles. I loved how Rowan wasn’t a pushover—she’s strong, capable, and holds her own in and out of the boardroom, especially during the steamy scenes.

The audiobook narration added so much depth to the characters and the tension, and I highly recommend it for a fully immersive experience. And the cliffhanger? Let’s just say I’m eagerly awaiting book two! K. Bromberg has officially become an auto-buy author for me.

Twisted Knight was a very different book then I first expected it to be. We read the story of Holden Knight and Rowan Rothschild. Holden is out for revenge, and he is determined to get his way. Rowan has always wanted to work for her families business, but when Holden ends up in her way she might lose it all.

The chemistry between Holden and Rowan was amazing. Even though they definitely where enemies, it’s clear there is more between them right from the start.

Honestly it took me a little while to really get into this story. But the further I got, the more I enjoyed the story. Holden really was a bit of jerk, but I was also really intrigued by his character.

The romance was fun and I loved those banters between Holden and Rowan. I really didn’t expect this book ending up in a cliffhanger though. Looks like I’ll have to be patient!

Twisted Knight is an enemies to lovers, office romance that was simply delicious! I loved Rowan! She was smart and driven. She knew her brother was a moron and the fact that she didn't just slap her mother is a true testament to her good character. Her mom was so annoying. I did kind of wish Rowan wouldn't always take the high road and let the family walk all over her though. This is certainly an "enemies to lovers" vibe since Holden wants revenge on Rowan's family, but he figures out quickly she is not like them. But, I loved his story-his reason for wanting revenge was righteous for sure and you just had to love him! The push/pull between Rowan and Holden kept me engaged despite hating her family so much I didn't think I could take any more.

K. Bromberg is a popular author whose books I am constantly seeing as recommendations. My first K. Bromberg book, Flirting with 40, was a huge success and I went in expecting to love the other work of the author. Unfortunately, such has not been the case. I read and struggled with The Player duet, and then the same thing happened with the first book in the Play Hard series. I thought it was that I did not mix well with the author’s sports romance, which is why I went into Twisted Knight with high hopes.

I will be honest and say that the first few chapters of Twisted Knight had me hooked. It sucked me in with ease and had me deeply invested in what was going to play out. In fact, the start of the book left me convinced that my belief about it just being Bromberg’s sports romance that I did not mix with would prove to be true. Unfortunately, this feeling changed the more I progressed. For me, there was far too much time spent focusing on the minutiae of the business to allow me to feel the connection between the characters. In fact, they spent so much of the book against each other that I found it hard to believe that there could ever be something between them. Due to this, I found my attention wavering and I became focused on the little things that niggled at me. Such as repeated use of words, some word misuses, and other little grammar things that would not have caught my attention if I had been enjoying the book. The fact that I was more focused on these elements than the story itself is why I ended up rounding my rating down.

All in all, I am using this as a sign that K. Bromberg is not an author for me. Many clearly enjoy their work - and I can see why when there are sparks of things that interest me - but they do not work consistently well enough for me.

Really enjoyed this story. The growth of the characters, the long term plans & the rebelling against what they are pushed into. I did not expect to be left hanging at the end, so I hope the next book comes out soon.

This was truly written for the enemies to lovers girls. Workplace, revenge, so much angst and basically a southern succession level of family chaos and drama. It ends on a cliffhanger that I was not ready for and I’m desperate for book two, I hope it’s close behind. K Bromberg writes top tier groveling and men fighting for their women so I cannot wait to see where this goes next.

Twisted Knight has a bit of everything! We’ve got a handsome billionaire, feminine rage, a fight against societal norms, enemies to enemies-with-benefits to lovers-ish, sexy nsfw scenes, heartbreak, and all the drama! I really enjoyed reading the beginning of Holden and Rowan’s story and look forward to reading more!
As always, make sure this is the right book for you as a reader. Mental health matters!

I eyed this book a very, very long time ago and now I got the incredible chance to read it in advance! 💙 I must thank K. Bromberg and Valentine Pr for this amazing opportunity🫶🏼

One troubled past and a huge revenge is what stands at the base of this story. A town which is lead by whealty families, with tons of dirty secrets. The Rothschild's and William's had always been in charge of town, handling the businesses for decades and continuing to do so. But everything they've worked for could soon be demolished by only one driven man, Holden Knight.

Because of everything he had to endure from these families and another heartbreaking event, Holden in keen on finding his revenge when the right time comes. So, he thoroughly build a life where he could never be touched and be feard for. And the right time comes over 15 years later after the life altering event.

Knight does everything by the book and respects every detail he initially planned, only on the way, one beautiful woman goes under his thick skin. His enemy's sister, Rowan Rothschild.

Even from the first encounter I could feel the tension between them and how they were the perfect fit for each other. How their past was somehow similar, but also so different. But they were carring the same loath against the system the Rothschild and William families have built.

I just looved this story! The grumpy, mysterious man had now some wholes in that dark personality made by Rowan, who was so different from what he thought. He never planned to be caged by her beauty and intelligence. The lust for her is over the rooftop and it's the same for Rowan. They shared some really spicy scenes, but which were thought so good and had the perfect intensity.

I just had a feeling, long before the last page of the book, that I wouldn't like the ending and that I would be left with a cliffhanger in my hands!🤯 Everything was soo good and addicting! I just cannot wait to read the next book from this series - like, I need it tomorrow!

En bref, j'ai aimé apprendre à connaitre Holden et Rowan, ils sont tous les deux intenses, ne baissent jamais les bras et donnent tout pour leurs objectifs sauf que l'autre va quelque peu venir mettre des grains de sable dans leurs histoires bien huilées. Les événements s'enchainent et je ne me suis pas ennuyée en leur compagnie, je ne m'attendais simplement pas à ce qu'il n'y ait pas de fin mais un satané cliffhanger et j'attends donc la suite avec impatience, curieuse de voir comment ils vont pouvoir se dépatouiller des catastrophes qu'ils ont engendré... Vivement !!

Who can be trusted as you move around the boundaries set just because you were born a woman or on the wrong side of the tracks. For both Rowan and Holden, they each have to overcome the hands they were each dealt. Each asking themselves who can they actually trust?

Twisted Knight is Holden and Rowan story and what a story it was. Twisted Knight is one of the best enemies to Lovers romance I've read and I absolutely loved it. I Cannot wait to read next book in the series as it ends in cliffhanger.

I have only read the Full Throttle series by K. Bromberg. I loved it! I almost passed this up thinking it won't be the same. I was right. It wasn't the same, but it still held my attention! The storyline is heartbreaking. My emotions were real. The characters are growing on me, but not quite there yet. I have full confidence that I'll love them both before it ends. I love the slow burn. I cannot wait for the next book to see where this is going.

There is just something I love about a good revenge plot, and the one in this book is a new favorite of mine. This story was so captivating and fast-paced. Rowan and Holden are both such complex characters, and I really enjoyed getting to know them. Through flashbacks we learn how Holden came to know Rowan’s family years prior, and why he is set on destroying them (he has good reasons). This one will make you laugh, cry, and want to find your own Holden.

If K. Bromberg writes it, I’m going to read it. I absolutely love her style, and the worlds and dynamics that she creates. I was NOT expecting that cliffhanger though! Book two can’t come soon enough!! I need to know what happens between Rowan, Holden, and this family business 🫣

Their chemistry was apparent in every encounter and Holden was probably the first person to look at Rowan and actually see the intelligent woman she was. But no matter his feelings he wasn’t about to be distracted, Holden was a man on a mission, and I enjoyed the manner in which his reason for being in Westmore was revealed which added to the tension. Rowan doesn’t really like her family very much; all her life she’s came second to her brother, but she does love them so if she’s forced to choose between them and Holden who will win out? Be warned this book does end on a cliff hanger, nothing that will have you throwing your kindle at the wall but still, I did think that this book was a standalone so I can’t help but feel a little cheated at having to wait to find out what happens next.

On the other side, the heroine, Rowan Rothschild, is a force to be reckoned with. Sassy, defiant, and fiercely loyal to her family legacy, she refuses to let anyone dictate her fate—least of all those who threaten everything she holds dear. Her determination and refusal to back down, even as the walls close in on her, make her a protagonist you can’t help but admire. Despite feeling betrayed by those closest to her, she never lets that break her spirit.

I loved how this book made me feel, waiting for things to happen. To be honest, I did not see the cliffhanger coming, because, yes, it is the first book in a series. Now I can't wait for the conclusion to this addictive story!

This is a story of corruption, power, control, money, and the games that are played to have them all. Warning though: Cliffhanger ahead ... and it is a doozy!!

Holden Knight has returned to the one place he never wanted to see again, his hometown, the place where he experienced his deepest pain. Growing up on the wrong side of the tracks Holden was constantly bullied by those who were better off, time has come to turn the tables and deal out some retribution. Rowan Rothschild was born into wealth, an intelligent, business savvy woman capable of running her family's business. Instead, she is expected to marry and be a domesticated 'Stepford Wife'. Not if she has anything to say about it!

Holden and Rowan share an insane chemistry, it is way off the charts, their banter is incredible, and the heat between them sizzles. Their relationship is push and pull, both in the boardroom and the bedroom, which leads to a lot of tension. Rowan is feisty and doesn't allow anyone to walk all over her, especially her family, this girl has a few well-hidden secrets. Holden is a mystery when he first arrives on the scene, as his story begins to be revealed my heart broke for him. I loved how their relationship evolved, it was slow and steady, yet there was plenty of heat and passion. I adored Holden, he may be ruthless when it comes to business, but he had a heart of gold. He saw Rowan's worth and her capabilities, and was willing to help her to get what she deserved.

From start to finish TWISTED KNIGHT was a fantastic read. A terrific enemies to lovers, seeking revenge story which demands to be read in one session. If this is only the beginning of Holden and Rowan's story, I can't wait to read the next two installments. Another highly recommended and unputdownable read from this amazingly talented author.
