Twisted Knight is a delicious read. I loved this so much. This is book one and has a cliff hanger. If you love revenge reads then you will love this one so much. Rowan is doing anything she can to hold onto her family legacy. You feel for her and most of the men in her life with the backward thinking. She has a lot of fight in her and goes against the grain. Holden has his reasons for the company takeover. As you get to know him you get why he's targeting Chad and Rowan's brother Rhett. The chemistry build between Rowan and Holden is amazing. I love how Holden sees Rowan and brings out the fire in her. I could not put this down. I need more now. I cannot wait to see where the next book goes as everything starts to unravel more. You need to read this now.

Obsessed with this book, and I need more. Twisted Knight by K. Bromberg was an angsty small-town enemy to lovers that demanded my attention from start to finish. Not to mention, that cliffhanger ending absolutely left my jaw on the floor, and I needed more. The beginning of Rowan and Holden’s romance put my heart through a whirlwind of emotions, and I was here for all of it!

Victoria Connolly and Partic Zeller perform this audiobook in dual narration, embodying Rowan and Holden to the fullest. Victoria added subtle nuances to her voice to convey Rowan’s conflicted and passionate persona as she discovered more family business secrets. Patrick gave a powerful emotional performance as Holden encompassing his vengeance for the past and deep desires for Rowan. Both narrators were spot on conveying the tension-filled, steamy chemistry between Rowan and Holden.

Overall, I LOVED this book. If you are a fan of a small-town romance with an alpha-confident billionaire, a strong-willed determined heroine, workplace romance, now and then chapters, secrets about the past, dirty talk, tension, revenge, office spice, sunshine nicknames, family legacy, bathroom steam, surprise trip to Manhatten, and a jaw-dropping climax that will leave you longing and needing more, you will love the start of Rowan and Holden’s story. I always look forward to more from K. Bromberg.

Holden's character irked me a lot because he's a cocky, conceited, arrogant billionaire.. but as the story unravels you get to see more of the WHY and learn the backstory of why he's the way he is.

Now their relationship was so angsty and I am here for all of it. I'm here for all the jealousy, possessive characters, the twists and turns. I went into this book not sure what to expect, and now I can't wait to see how this unfolds. A great start to their story.

Twisted Knight is the aptly named first book in a trilogy featuring the story of Holden and Rowan. Holden is poised to purchase the Rothschild’s company, much to Rowan Rothschild’s dismay and anger. Yet each interaction they have breaks up the hate and frustration and opens a little understanding and support for each other.

This story was full of emotional twists and lots of secrets. With glimpses in the past, we see why Holden is driven to ruin the affluent, pretentious, old-wealth families of Westmore. We see Rowan positioning herself to be taken as a serious business woman and not just someone her mom can marry off. There are a host of intriguing characters who have hidden secrets pitting themselves against Holden who likens himself as a morally gray puppet master who will only reveal his plans on his timetable. Overall, it’s a great start to this trilogy and I can’t wait for the next installment to come out!

K. Bromberg has done it again! She's written a story that I can’t stop thinking about. Holden and Rowen are such an unexpected couple. Holden is set on taking over Rowen’s family company, and she’s not happy about it at all—especially since she has her own plans to save it, but her jerk of a brother has different ideas.

Holden might seem like a hardass, but his motives for wanting control of the company are deeper than anyone knows. And just when I thought I had it all figured out, K Bromberg hit me with a cliffhanger that totally caught me off guard!

Now, I’m just waiting for the second book.

This is Book 1 in the Tangled Hearts Series by this author. It is an enemies to lovers romance between Holden and Rowan. These two flawed but likeable souls and the unique plot make for an intriguing read. What starts out as a revenge plot turns into something more. It is a captivating love story with drama and steam, action and suspense, sexual tension and chemistry, and twists and turns, plus appealing secondary characters to keep the reader interested. An engaging page turner with a cliffhanger ending.

This novel brought back a wave of nostalgia, reminiscent of the classic romance novels of the past. In an era where so many books are standalone with predictable storylines, this one was a refreshing change—a fantastic book with a gripping plot that hooked me from the start.

The slow burn was undeniably hot, and the smut? Absolutely perfect. The chemistry between the characters had me fully invested, eagerly following the ups and downs of their relationship, dying to see what would happen next.

And that ending? I thought I was ready for anything, but that cliffhanger! I did not see that coming. Can book two please come out as soon as possible? I can barely wait for it and am already excited, even though it hasn’t even been announced yet!

I absolutely recommend this book to anyone.

While I’m not the biggest fan of billionaire romances, I do love a revenge love story. What I don’t love? Cliffhangers!! Ugh. Even though I knew this was the first in a new series, I wasn’t expecting the ending to be so… twisty, surprising, and unresolved.

That being said, I liked the MMC and his revenge plan for justice for his family. I also liked that there was a good amount of spice from the start. Spice was 3-3.5/5 🌶️🌶️🌶️

Honestly can’t wait for the second book because I’m invested now!!

It's been too long since I read K. Bromberg, and what a fool I've been for not keeping up!

This book had intrigue, humour, enemies, lovers, spice, emotion, hidden pasts and so much more. I went in blind to this, and boy was I gripped.
85% and I started to panic, before I remembered with a huge sigh of relief that this is just book 1 in the series, and I could relax again.

Who can resist a powerful man with an agenda, secrets, and a softness that only emerges when least expected? Not me.

Fabulous. And that ending...that cover... Wow!

This book is filled with revenge, ambition, and undeniable chemistry!

They thought they’d seen the last of Holden, but he is back, and this time, he’s determined to make sure they never forget.

What a ride! The tension between Holden and Rowan was absolutely electric.

I absolutely could not put this down. Twisted Knight is a story that just grabbed me from word one and did not let me think about anything else even days after I finished it. I was consumed by Holden and Rowan's story of small town secrets, power plays, and fiery sexual tension. Holden is a mysterious man who buys his way into Rowan's family business. A business she wants to run, but being a woman she has been overlooked for her entitled brother. Rowan is the only one who sees through the easy purchase, and is trying to figure out Holden's end game. Holden is back to avenge his brother. But the closer he gets to Rowan, the more distracted he becomes. They don't fully trust each other, but their chemistry is a pull their bodies can't fight. As they get closer, they let their guard down for each other. But when secrets are revealed, the ultimate betrayal changes everything! Holden and Rowan are both great characters and I loved their banter, the push/pull between them, and their chemistry is explosive! Rowan is smart, strong, and caring, and is the kind of heroine I want to read about. Holden is a mystery, and I loved the way Bromberg told his story through flashback sequence, helping me to learn, understand, and empathize with him. Their gripping story is breathtaking and so beautifully written, slowly revealing some secrets, but adding more intrigue as well. I am so invested in Holden and Rowan and was completely stunned at the end! I can't wait to find out what happens next!

This was so good. Love k.Bromberg so much I love her writing and her characters! This was an easy read and I hope everyone listens or reads this!

Revenge is a dish best served cold - however - this takeover is more like a scheduled chess match. With intrigue, past hurt and one man's plan, Holden is trying to destroy those who made his life horrible by using their money and prestige, but when he holds all the cards he expects them to all fold - that is until he falls in love with the enemy. As a southern woman in a man's world, Rowan is trying to make her mark in her family's company but doors are closing fast. The two together can be powerhouses, but will they become stronger together or tear each other apart. One step forward and two steps back will leave the reader locked into the storyline while at the same time be entertained. Once again K. Bromberg did not disappoint.

Ok so this was a super slow starter for me. Like I almost didn't keep reading, it was that slow. But once we got the main characters on page together and everything set up, it turned. When the romance hit, K B stopped messing around and things got intense across the story line. The secrets and the deception and the tension and heat are all super page turning. I have read her books before and know that she likes a cliffhanger, but am very sad now that I have to wait for the next section of this story!

Rowan Rothschild comes from a wealthy family expected to act a certain way. She doesn’t truly fit in and wants to run her family’s business not just become a society wife. When Holden Knight wants revenge on her family and buisiness will he take her down with them or see she isn’t like the rest of the Rothschilds’? They don’t remember him from their past but he is going to make them regret ever crossing the Knight family! I did find it took me a bit to get into as it is a bit lengthy but once the story starts to unfold I did enjoy it. I also liked the flashbacks to explain the tension Holden has for them. This is the beginning of an enemies to lovers, workplace romance. There is a major cliffhanger so be prepared. Told in first person and dual POV.

Twisted Knights is the most unexpected delight of a story! The description was vague and I really had no clue what to expect but WOW! It was a quick, easy read with well written characters. The smut is deliciously on point without being raunchy or over done. I loved the intrigue and suspense, it’s clear there’s more to every part of this story. The drama started right away and kept up right to the last page. I can’t wait for book two!

Rowan is realistic while still being a take no crap, strong, determined woman who has her sights on one thing… Running the family company. I loved that she is strong but still believable. Too often FMC’s are headstrong but don’t think things through, they are strong willed but not thoughtful, ruthless but unkind, focused but selfish, Rowan is none of those. I can’t wait to see what she does next.

Most of the characters were so well written, it was easy to hate the bad guys and not feel so bad about the revenge Holden’s come back for. My absolute favorite character though… Gran. @KBromber, please, please tell me we get more of Gran in book two. Give us flashbacks, or letters… anything, I adore her spunk and sass. Even with the small snippets we get, it’s clear she's a rockstar of a character. Holden is growing into a great character. At first I thought he lacked depth but by the end he’d become well rounded, the ice was cracking and I can’t wait to see him completely come apart in the next book and at this point I am certain it’s going to happen. He’s dark, mysterious and clearly scheming. He’s a perfect morally gray MMC and hold the phone does he bring the spice!

I loved the dips into the past and the way it brings Holden to life, his present tense character needed that softening. The flashbacks also really show us why we hate the bad guys (not spoiling that one!) and why we sympathize with Holden. I hope book two gives us the same for Rowan. She tells Holden about parts of it but I’d love to see those same character building for Rowan. This book has just the right amount of pure smut balanced with romantic intent.
