This was such an interesting read. I love this take on society and AI. I really enjoyed the role reversal in this story. Typically AI is at the forefront and we are exploring the next latest advancement, however I liked to see this story explore taking a step back and having to hide and be off the grid from AI.
Running From the AIs is a thrilling sci-fi adventure different from the usual type of book Kevin Coleman usually writes.
Set in the future but within the same universe as Kevin's other books, this book focuses on the AIs themselves and what happens when two humans begin to recognize a pattern. A questionable AI with sinister motives decides Raphael and Ellie must be silenced and pursue them, leaving the two lovers to flee for their lives.
While on the run, they witness something, and the urge to flee grows stronger. Suddenly, they must decide who they can trust and what type of life they want to live in order to be free.
This book was captivating from the start and filled with unexpected turns until the end. I completely enjoyed this and would recommend it.
