Oh for the love of slowburnsss..
Funny, sweet, steammy! A grumpy cat-lady and a golden retriever man. Good chemistry... And everyone has a dark side...
This book hit me right in the feelings 💙
It was a very interesting background story for Tiffy which I really liked! Totally got me hooked. And I'm a big fan of the unperfect grumpy woman!
Could have used a little more spice, but mainly because it was sooo well written!

Thanks to Dr. Melissa Dymond for this book!!!

“Paging Dr. Hart” centers around Tiffany Hart, who is battling her fears of abandonment, while actively pushing people away to avoid the pain of loss. She is drowning in debit, and hoping to win an award at the hospital she works at that comes with a hefty cash bonus, when Ethan Clark enters her life. As a third-year radiology resident at Mercy Hospital, Tiffany is dedicated to her career. Ethan Clark, the Chief Resident at Highview Hospital in Cleveland, is in his second year of internal medicine and applying for a radiology residency at Mercy Hospital.

In their first encounter Ethan embarrasses Tiffany during a lecture, and ruins any chance of her winning the award and bonus shes seeking. Which initially sparks her resolve to despise him. Circumstances force them to work closely together, challenging Tiffany to step out of her comfort zone and towards personal growth. Ethan is ,obviously, instantly smitten, while Tiffany fiercely resists his flirtatious nature and good looks, determined to keep her guard up at every turn.

This book is told in a dual timeline set in both the past and present. The story, while intriguing, often felt a little disjointed. The transitions between Tiffany's gritty Vegas childhood and her current life as a radiologist lacked fluidity, making it hard to see how the timelines would eventually intersect. Despite these issues, the plot surrounding Tiffany's secretive past was interesting, though it sometimes stretched the bounds of believability.

Ethan and Tiffany's relationship had its cute moments, especially while they shared housing. Ethan, has Golden Retriever energy in spades. The romance, marketed as enemies-to-lovers, felt more like one sided moderate dislike to lovers.

The title, and cover, are a little misleading. If you think you’re getting a medical suspense romcom style read, this isn’t it. While their professions are based in the medical field there isn’t much about this that reads like a medical suspense novel, and while there’s witty banter the heavy undertones take away from the romcom feel. It’s more of a domestic suspense with a dash of romance. A significant portion of the book is dedicated to Tiffany's backstory, which, while crucial, could have been condensed. This would have allowed for more development in the present-day chapters, where the romance between Tiffany and Ethan could have been fleshed out better. Or possibly adding more characters in between the chapters from her past to allow room for more banter and growth between the two.

Some of the supporting characters, like Mr. Chen, had so much potential but were slightly underdeveloped. The plot also included some far-fetched elements, such as a person from Tiffany's past haunting her in an implausible manner. Hasn’t seen her in years, but finds her easily walking around Disney World looking for her? The inclusion of a QR code in the middle of the book was jarring, and the ending a little strange.

Despite its flaws, the book had a lot of potential, and parts of the story were well written, and easily suck you in. I look forward to seeing the author grow and develop in future works. I would recommend this book to those looking for a quick summer read, who enjoy domestic suspense with a dash of romance.

Paging Dr. Hart is a medical romance novel with a suspenseful plot. Dr. Tiffany Hart is a successful radiologist with a difficult and traumatic past, who meets Dr. Ethan Clark, a family legacy doctor who is the ultimate golden retriever MMC. Ethan and Tiffany are forced to work together, to travel together, and their relationship develops from there. There are also flashback chapters from when Tiffany was growing up. It gives context as to why Tiffany acts the way she does and how guarded she is around people.

I enjoyed this book but I felt that it was perhaps a bit too short to flesh out all of the elements that the author was including. The callbacks to the past felt like they were sped through and didn't feel fully developed when they were in the present. The conflict(s) resolved a bit too quickly and easily for my liking.

I enjoyed the Disney elements as a Disney lover myself! Was fun to be able to actually imagine the characters there.

I really really enjoyed reading this book! The story has a dual timeline of Tiffany's past and present life. The characters are so well developed, I need Ethan in my life!! I like the fact that the author made two versions (spicy and closed door). The reason that I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is because I thought that there would be more about the medical related things. I highly recommend this book and I'm really excited for her other books. Also the illustrations in this book are so pretty?? A reason more to read it!

In essence, Paging Dr. Hart is two storylines combined into one, which come together beautifully at the end. Tiffany's childhood and her current life are two parallel timelines. Tiffany is a survivor, and I was so moved by the chapters that revealed her past. She has to learn to open her heart throughout the book, and Ethan assists her in doing so. We gradually learn about Tiffany's anxieties and insecurities as we flip back and forth between the present and the past.

The suspense and romance between them captivated me from the very first page. The characters are well-developed; Tiffany and Ethan couldn't be more different from one another, yet they work so well together! Although a touch insecure, Tiffany is incredibly endearing. while, even though Ethan occasionally comes across as a little arrogant, he is the epitome of what a golden retriever should be! In addition to being fantastic, the supporting cast members greatly enhance the plot; Melanie is my personal favourite. Even though Tiffany makes a lot of effort to push Melanie out of her life, Melanie remains a wonderful friend to Tiffany from the start! I highly recommend this book if you want some black cat/ golden retriever vibes.

The only thing I could find fault with the book, given how deeply engrossed I was in it, was that there were so many unanswered questions at the end. It left me feeling a little let down and desirous of more! It's good that the author created two versions—one with spice/open door and another for close door lovers—so that everyone could enjoy themselves. Very clever!

Dr Tiffany Hart is known as 'Ice Queen's at the hospital where she works. Deep down she keeps people at arms' length rather than risk being hurt or left behind. She grew up in difficult circumstances and has done her best to leave her past behind her and focus on her career.

This all changes when Ethan Clark joins the team. He's confident, attractive and kind but she's determined not to like him. They're constantly thrown together at work and they are drawn to each other despite Tiffany's attempts to keep Ethan at arms' length. Just when things start to look promising, Tiffany's past raises it's head and she's terrified of losing Ethan when he finds out the truth about who she really is.

This workplace, slow-burn romance between Tiffany and Ethan was a fun story to read, especially if you enjoy 'dislike to lovers' stories, with a little bit of mystery and suspense thrown in. I understand further books are going to be written about some of the back stories in this book. A great read for those of us who enjoy a light-hearted romance.

I love that 10% of the proceeds of the sale of this book will be donated to lung cancer research ❤️

This book had me hooked from the beginning! It was actually so hard to put it down- The writing style was sooo good and I loved the flashbacks. Those peaks into Tiffany’s past life were everything. All the characters were so well thought out and written- I would love to hear more about Shelly though, in the end. It was just a perfect, late night read. This book was much more than a romance. It was a book about self-forgiveness, achieving your goals despite everything and growth. It is a book I’ll be thinking about for a while.

This book had me on an emotional rollercoaster in the best way. The suspense was so good I audibly gasped at parts.

I liked how it alternated between present day Tiffany and past Tiffany throughout her younger years so you could see her character development and what has lead her to becoming the woman she is today.

Ethan is just the sweetest cinnamon roll MMC who wants to love and protect Tiffany... swoon.

It's a slow burn but the chemistry and tension between FMC and MMC is 🔥.

Paging Dr. Hart felt like I was reading two stories at once that blended perfectly together at the ending.
The dual timeline is Tiffany's childhood vs her present life. And boy, oh boy, was it a freakin roller coaster.

Reading about Tiffany’s past was giving me so much anxiety. The suspense had me at the edge of my seat and my heart kept breaking for her over and over again. But, reading her present with Ethan gave me all of the heart flutters. My emotions were all over the place with this book 🤣

Ethan is a walking green flag and was so good for Tiffany. The way he accepted all parts of her, ughh my heart 🥹🥹🥹

I’m looking forward to more answers in the next books!

"I will fight anything, or anyone, that comes between us. Nothing could keep me away from you. Nothing."

Dr. Dymond, this book was SO good!
Dr. Tiffany Hart, the cold hearted, by the book, no nonsense radiology resident has her life planned out, with plans upon plans in place. When one day, Dr. Ethan Clark comes rolling into the residency program as a transfer intern, forcing her plans to change.

A medical/romantic/suspense with a rom-com sub genre, I very much enjoyed just the light-heartedness of a romantic suspense. You have a golden retriever MMC with the withdrawn FMC, both surface level fighting for the prestige of “resident of the month”. The entire book flip-flopped between present day and the part (which as some of you know is one of my FAVORITE writing styles to read) so you get Tiffany’s past, why she thinks the way she does now, and why she makes the choices she does. I loved the communication between Tiffany and Ethan (yes, I think sarcastic comments are included 😂) and love that Melanie was a constant figure in Tiffany’s life.

While overall, I enjoyed the book, I will point out that I personally don’t feel that this book was entirely geared towards those who are interested in or IN the medical field. The medical side of things are sort of glossed over (which for some, may be enough medical for them. My lil nerdy heart cried a lil 😢) Additionally, I think that my thriller heart would’ve loved a more suspenseful current timeline with less chunks of past timeline. More build-up to the suspenseful break to allow a more seamless transition in what happens (no spoilers! 🙊 no dishonor on this family! 🐉)

There is a sweet version and a spicy version available for preorder! I am very happy I picked this up, and very grateful for Netgalley and Melissa for allowing me to read this ahead of release! My notes above will definitely NOT deter me from reading another book by her!

This was my first romance book that included suspense but I enjoyed it! I liked following Tiffany’s storyline for her childhood explaining some of the events that led her to where she is today. I wanted to know what happened next and I didn’t want to put the book down. I also enjoyed the scenes between Tiffany and Ethan, whether they were working together or attending a conference at Disney. I will be picking up more books by Melissa Dymond as well as other romantic suspense novels!

Much more than your typical romance novel! This story alternates between the past and present as the female lead navigates her haunting past and her accomplished present.

Dr. Tiffany Hart is a polished medical doctor who puts work first and rarely, if ever, builds relationships beyond the causal work friend. Enter Dr. Ethan Clark- handsome, cinnamon roll man who falls fast and hard for Tiffany. Forced proximity, iced coffees, and working toward a common goal brings Tiffany’s walls down, slightly. Ethan is all in but then Tiffany’s secret past comes back to haunt her.

I loved the complexity of this story. Alternating between past and present, not only in sense of time but in who Tiffany was and who she is now. The symbolism of the colors red and white was notable as well. Devil versus angel. The author provides readers with two formats- sweet or spicy, depending on comfort level/preference. Furthermore, portions of the proceeds go to charity!

Just throughly enjoyed this romance and how it explores the past and present colliding. Plus, it’s rounded off with the best of loveable golden retriever boyfriends (bonus cute nickname).

“Has it ox red to you that maybe, just maybe, I hoped you would call me? Maybe you aren’t the only one who’s scared”

Interesting look at the politics and drama that surrounds the medical field. Utterly shocked by a certain characters decision regarding Tiffany. No wonder she has turned into such an independent and alouf individual.

“I love her, and I hate her”

Something about this story spoke to me and I just couldn’t put it down.

“I like you all way, happy and sad. I like all the Tiffany’s past, present, and future. I’ll take them all”

From start to finish, I was hooked! Paging Dr. Hart is told in past and present timelines from the FMC’s POV. What can you expect from this book? A slow burn romance between two radiologists, a suspenseful past, a golden retriever MMC who can round house kick someone in the head, one bed, and some Disney fun!

Plot: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Quantity of spice: 🌶️.5
Quality of spice: 🌶️🌶️
**Please note I read the open door version of this book.**

Our FMC Tiffany is a loner by choice. She had a very rough childhood where she lost her mother to cancer and her best friend betrayed her. As an adult, she’s pushed everyone away because she’s too afraid of losing anyone else.

Ethan, our MMC, is in his second year residency for internal medicine but really wants to specialize in radiology. On the day of his interview, Tiffany is presenting on a cancer case and messes up the cancer staging. Ethan points it out in a room full of her colleagues, so naturally she is embarrassed and does not like Ethan. Only, she gets back to her desk and her boss tells her she has to interview someone for the open spot.. the interviewee? Ethan.

While the budding romance between Ethan and Tiffany is playing out in current time, we are receiving past timeline chapters from Tiffany’s childhood while she lived in Las Vegas. During this time, she did not live in a good neighborhood and had to do some questionable things to survive and pay for her mother’s medical bills. The past story slowly reveals Tiffany’s secrets, which she is afraid to reveal to Ethan in the present.

With the two different timelines, I did feel like I was reading separate stories a lot of the time. Past Tiffany and Present Tiffany felt like two different people. I honestly had to take a step back and even look at it from my own perspective because I too am a completely different person from who I was at 18. With that said, I do understand and appreciate the differences, as well as the need for the backstory!

This is a spoiler free review, so I will not say what happened in the end but I will say that I’m dying for the future books because I NEED TO KNOW!! 🤐

I really enjoyed reading this book.

A story of a girl with a wounded heart and fear of trusting. A simple romance, right? Wrong! Romance, suspense, betrayal.
The past comes back to haunt Tiffany's present.
I loved how Ethan loves Tiffany beyond measure, even in pain, but he defends her and ensures her safety.
I can't wait to read the next books in this story.
**For those who don't like spicy, the author made a sweet closed-door version**

Thanks to Netgalley and the author for the opportunity to review the ARC.

A sweet and surprisingly deep medical romance with forced proximity, he falls first, reverse grumpy + sunshine, and golden retriever MMC.

Pros:
- The meet-cute!! I love it! Golden retriever MMC was perfection in that moment and so was the grumpy FMC.
- MMC's brother is *chef's kiss.* I NEED spinoffs from this! I need Stewart and Curtis to get their own stories.
- Seeing the FMC and MMC enjoy Disney World for the first time together was so cute! I wanted to be there with them!
- The way the FMC and MMC fall in love is absolutely beautiful. It's slow
- Believable and authentic FMC. She has an incredible backstory and what feels like an authentic adult reaction to the life she has lived.
- I like how the FMC didn't just change her stance on relationships overnight. Her new friend and the MMC were persistent enough and loved her through the walls - they didn't just get knocked down all at once.
- "Good girl"
- Spicy scenes were hitting all the right notes!

Opportunities:
- There were a few continuity issues throughout - For example, in one scene, the FMC has just entered the room when she hears knocking on the door and seconds later she almost rises from the couch to answer the door. Small moments that just kind of kicked you out of the story for a moment.
- The story ends up being so beautiful, but in the beginning, the characters are a little stiff and the wording is awkward in places.
- There is kind of a cliffhanger moment at the end that is interesting but not enough so that I would read a second book. Would have been nice to see how that plays out though.

Overall - I really suggest this book for fans of the tropes listed above. It's worth pushing through the first awkwardness because the intrigue and the romance are such a good payoff.

What a ride! Read this in one day!! Grey’s Anatomy meets romantic suspense, and I am here for it.

Dr. Tiffany Hart has finally made the most of her life. A third year resident in radiology, who prioritizes her job over everything else. Nicknamed “ice queen” by her coworkers, she has ensured not to get too close to anyone because they will eventually break her trust and leave, like she experienced in her troubled past. Until…

Enter the new radiologist resident, Dr. Ethan Clark. Good looking, privileged, and cocky, Tiffany immediately dislikes him. That charm?? Doesn’t work on her. Those muscles?? No thanks. And when he comes to her defense and continues to show up for her? Nope nope nope.

I adore a ‘hate to love’ romance where he is obviously obsessed with her from the get go 🤣 poor Tiffany just took a little longer than the rest of us to see it. Obviously our girl has her reasons, and I really liked how Tiffany’s backstory was told through each year of her younger/teenage years. It really built the suspense of the overall story.

Great romance and can’t wait to read more in these interconnected stand alone books!

*spoiler alert** I was not expecting to be so in shock and feeling so many emotions!! I thought this was a simple romance book but nope!!

At first I was not vibing with Tiffany but the more I read, the more I felt for her and understood why she was the way she was. The parallel of her love of Cinderella and her life is one that connects at the end with Ethan. I want to know more and can’t wait for this series to continue…I’m thinking the a certain casino owner is her dad?

Also, Shelly is a two-faced woman and really like her mom of using people.

First of all, I absolutely loved that the main characters were radiologists. That profession is always erased from most medical shows, and it was refreshing to read about it. My husband is a radiologist. I asked him about some medical procedures that were described in the book, and he said it was accurate!

This book veered more towards romantic suspense than rom com, which I don’t always like, but it really worked for me in this book. I enjoyed reading the past timeline and trying to figure out how everything was going to play out in the present. The romance was sweet, and I liked how it ended. Also that little snippet of things to come was a fun surprise.

This book was extremely hard to put down! I absolutely loved reading Paging Dr. Hart. Dr.
Melissa Dymond's way of writing from Dr. Hart's POV made you feel like you really were Dr. Hart, feeling the things she feels and experiences. 5/5 stars ✨ If you love mysteries about the main character, building lives from the ground up, romance stories, happily ever afters and action, this is the book for you! Also subscribing to get the extra chapters is SO SO worth it. Amazing writing!
