Thank you to NetGalley and Victory Editing for this ARC! All opinions are my own.

Paging Dr. Hart was a fun fast-paced read - probably actually more fun, if you aren't in medicine, like me. I picked this book up because of that medical component though, and was pleasantly surprised by this steamy romance (even if the idea of viewing my co-residents like that makes me a little uncomfy internally.) Although it is titled romance with suspense, I would say that this book leans much more heavily into the romance, building up our heroine's mysterious past in Vegas with interspersed scenes from her childhood, and her current romance with hot, nepotism-baby male doctor. Dr. Hart is pegged as this "ice queen" persona - which I sorta get, and also sorta was like, I'm a little tired of hearing about this since I feel it leans into the stereotypes and makes the writing of her current personality a little lazier, but ultimately felt like the author wasn't beating our head with it - the way romance books sometimes like to use tropes. Where the book truly shined was in its flashback scenes. Now, flashback scenes always make me anxious - they remind me of a psychological thrillers and this book achieved with that. You get the heightened intensity of the flashback and on top of that, the author did a great job at fleshing out a full background that made her character make sense (even if we don't get to see all the details of that in the present day, bc girly too busy ogling hot doc.) She's paced it well, such that when we get characters introduced in the past timeline, they arrive at the perfect time, coupled with the perfect sectioners. All in all, this is a perfect book for anyone who's loved romance with a dash of suspense in the past (some of Nora Roberts books come to mind) with a healthy dose of realistic medical living. I definitely LOLed at the paracentesis bit. I'm not sure how our author's medical descriptions translated to the layperson, but I appreciated the time she took to explain it all out!

Such a FUN and cute read!! But there were also many times I was feeling SUSPENSE! The way it went back to her present life to her past life… I couldn’t stop reading. I just wanted to keep learning MORE about her past! And the way Ethan just came in and swept Tiffy off her feet 🥹 Such an easy read too. Tiffany’s whole story was amazing and I can’t wait to see if there is a sequel to Tiffany and Ethan 🩷

This was an unusual read for me. I usually read either thrillers or suspense but not in the same book. I enjoyed reading this book and will read more from this author. I appreciate that the author has a clean version and a spicy version of the same book.
I received an advance review copy but my opinions are honest and my own.

I really really loved this book. It was the first title I’ve read from Dr. Melissa Dymond and I enjoyed her writing so much! This was such an easy book to read and I was hooked from the first few chapters and finished it in one sitting. Reading the chapters from her past that really shaped her future were heart breaking but also showed exactly why the FMC acted the way that she did. She is such a strong and incredible female main character who worked so hard to get to where she is. And I loved Ethan so much, he comes from a privileged background but is trying to break free from his family legacy and make his own path. His personality was so fun and the banter between the two of them was so good! A slow burn but still so so sexy! The ending was amazing! I can’t wait until the other books in the series. I’ll definitely be continuing on this journey!

***BOOK REVIEW***
Paging Dr. Hart by Dr. Melissa Dymond - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

WHAT AN EMOTIONAL ROLLERCOASTER! I laughed, I gasped, I cried, and every emotion you could possibly feel while reading a book. Spice rating 🌶️🌶️🌶️.

Dr. Tiffany Hart is an introspective, observant, compassionate, and intelligent girl who grew up in the not so pretty areas of Las Vegas, Nevada. When life deals Tiffany and her mom a losing hand, Tiffany resorts to do things she isn't proud of. After copious amounts of heartbreak, Tiffany decides to buckle down, study hard to become a doctor, get herself out of Las Vegas, and most importantly, never let anyone into her life anymore. And then saunters in...Dr. Ethan Clark.

Dr. Ethan Clark, the guy you've always dreamed of dating. Tall, handsome, muscular, energetic, loyal, protective, kind, emotionally intelligent and a doctor! Being born to a family of doctors, Ethan wants to set himself apart from his family legacy. He wants something that's just his - and that, is Tiffany.

The grumpy FMC (female main character) and the sunshiney golden retriever energy MMC (male main character) come to fall in love while being in close proximity and gaining each other's trust by telling each other about their pasts. Until Tiffany's past comes back to bite her.

I entirely enjoyed the he fell first and she fell harder trope of this story. The amount of times where I squealed when Tiffany and Ethan were bantering are innumerable. Another book boyfriend added to my list for sure!!

Tiffany's backstory was just so exhilarating I could not put this story down. I was so entirely engrossed, I just kept reading faster wanting to know what was next. It's so hard not to see yourself in her - she will do anything to keep her family afloat.

Thank you so so much to Dr. Melissa Dymond @melissadymondauthor and NetGalley @netgalley for allowing me to read the ARC before publication. Anything you publish I will willingly read.

Paging Dr Hart by Dr Melissa Dymond
5⭐️

Paging Dr Hart is a romantic suspense that follows Tiffany, a third-year radiology resident, as she trains the hot new resident Ethan. Told through switching past and present timelines, you uncover the events in Tiffany’s adolescence that have shaped her into the woman she's become, while simultaneously witnessing her assessing the walls she has built up and whether she wants to continue her isolated lifestyle.

This story was a fantastic mix of thriller that kept me on the edge of my seat and a sweet romance built on the foundation of friendship. After their initial meeting goes awry, Tiffany has to learn to get along with her new colleague and trainee, especially when they’re sent away together where they’re living in close quarters. The banter between the two is immaculate and the build-up of sexual tension throughout the story is wonderfully written. The hints you get along the way about the traumas of her past and how they have made her wary of relationships of all types, romantic or otherwise, are fleshed out in the chapters set in the past and really make her such a well thought out and interesting character. It felt like getting two books in one, both of which had me hooked!

There are also pieces of art scattered throughout the book depicting characters and scenes, that help the reader visualise what is happening. Plus the book is split into sections that break up the story further and hint what you might expect from that section - Doctor, Teacher, etc. And as a bonus, this book has both open and closed door versions to accomodate any reader and I love that! I read the spicy version but it’s awesome that there’s different versions available to suit your preferred spice level ☺️

I highly recommend this book! 🩵

Paging Dr. Hart 🩺❤️

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
Genre: Romance
Author: Dr. Melissa Dymond

“Turns out I like being a doctor. It’s nice, knowing I can make a difference, that I make someone’s life better. Maybe it’s weird, but I feel most at home in the hospital.”

Dr. Tiffany Hart, radiology resident, is tasked with interviewing a potential new resident, Dr. Ethan Clark. Tiffany and Ethan are then forced to share an apartment and work together to start a residency program in Cleveland. In the apartment, they both get little sleep due to the nightmares that haunt Tiffany. The nightmares worsen as she gets text messages from an unknown sender about her secret past.

I LOVED this book!!!! It was the perfect combination of a love story (present timeline) and suspense/thriller (past timeline). It is rare that I’m hooked on a book from the beginning, but after the first few chapters, I couldn’t put it down. It has enemies to lovers, slow burn, suspense, and forced proximity.

Coming from a medical family, I don’t usually enjoy medical-based fiction books. I usually find that the terminology, procedures, and hospital dynamics are unrealistic. However, Dr. Melissa Dymond is experienced in this field, and it shows in her writing. You can also tell that Dymond is a big Disney fan. I loved that she used Disney World as one of the settings. As someone who goes to Disney often, I could easily picture the characters in each place she described which made those chapters so fun!

The growth of Tiffany from high school to becoming a doctor to the end of the book was amazing! I always enjoy a strong female character who escapes a tough past and becomes successful on her own. The MMC is the ultimate book boyfriend. His kindness and genuine personality was the perfect match for guarded Tiffany. Mr. Chen was the real MVP in this book though. He has a small part but what an amazing person!!!

Thank you to @netgalley and Victory Editing for sending me an ARC and allowing me the opportunity to read and review this book.

This was such a fun read! This romance thriller kept me fully captivated from start to finish.

My favorite thing about this book was the dual story lines in the past and present. Readers learn about Dr. Tiffany Hart as an adult, a self-made doctor and resident in the cardiology department who is making strides in her career. Her life becomes complicated when she meets the cardiology department's newest resident, Ethan.

The second story line follows Tiffany as a youth living in Las Vegas. Her upbringing is rough, but she has her best friend, Shelley, to lean on. After Tiffany's mom gets sick and can no longer work, Shelley convinces Tiffany to pose as showgirls for photo opportunities on the Las Vegas Strip. Eventually, Tiffany finds herself pressured to help commit a robbery with a promise of an equal cut of the profits.

Eventually, Tiffany's past catches up to her, and the two storylines collide.

Some tropes in this book are forced proximity, grumpy x sunshine, enemies to lovers, dark secrets, and found family. These tropes are all integrated into this story perfectly.

Last thing to mention is this book is offered in two versions, spicy/open door and the sweet version/closed door spice. I read the sweet version, but am very much looking forward to read the spicy version soon!

If you like Grey’s Anatomy (or any other medical drama shows) you should read this book. Paging Dr Hart kept me engaged the entire time and I flew through this one.

Tiffany is a radiology resident who has to show around the new guy, Ethan, who also made her feel dumb onstage during a lecture she was giving. Their story quickly turns into a workplace, forced proximity, and (sort of) enemies to lovers' romance. All the while you’re discovering the story of Tiffany’s past that is quickly catching up to her.

I loved that there was actually depth to these characters and the story felt real instead of just underdeveloped romantic fluff. I was hooked from the beginning and I’m very excited to see what other books come out of this little universe.

Paging Dr. Hart was a great read.
Tiffany Hart is a resident doctor wanting to be a radiologist. She had a rough time growing up and worked hard to get where she is. Ethan Clark is a transfer resident and she feels he's just another cocky male doctor. The more time they spend together, the more he breaks down her walls.

Review: *Paging Dr. Hart* - ARC - Dr. Melissa Dymond [16+]
4.9/5✨
1.5/5🌶️

I've seen this book on Instagram first and someone said it was an interesting read, so I headed straight to NetGalley to try my luck with a request 😊. Thank you for accepting me to read this ARC, Melissa Dymond 🤗.

Tiffany Hart is a radiologist at Columbus Hospital. Ethan Clark has just transferred from Highview Hospital, from Cleveland, to this hospital. Tiffany and him don't have the best first meet but this situation demands for them to work together. But this transfer comes with a surprise: they need to go to Ethan's previous hospital from time to time. I'm revealing just one thing: everything is going to change between them 🤭.

That was the present but this book offers two timelines. So, the other part is from Tiffany's past. Everything that happened in her life before she became a radiologist. She had a really though childhood. At some point her mother gets sick and from there on, she makes only bad, but kinda necessary, mistakes ☹️.

Back in the present time - Tiffany has to face everything that happened in her past, to overcome her nightmares and also, to try to confess to Ethan everything about her.

I really liked this book. I experienced so many feelings while reading this one - at some point my brain was freezing from the fear and adrenaline in one certain part of the story 😨. I felt sad, happy and hopefull for Tiffy😊.

Ok wow! I really loved this book! I was hooked from the beginning. First of all, I love a medical romance. I don't know, something about working at a hospital is just sexy. Whatever, blame it on Grey's Anatomy. But I enjoyed both main characters so much. I loved Tiffany's kind of broken - untrusting vibe and how Ethan just comes in and wears her down with his golden retriever energy. I love how they have this really sweet, comfortable relationship that blossoms. I LOVE a cinnamon role mmc, ok? I'll eat it up every time.

At first, I wasn't sure about the look back chapters, but then I started getting really into them as well because what who is this Rafe guy? Who is Shelly? Tell me more. What's going on with that whole situation? WHAT'S UP WITH HER MOM? I need answers to all my questions. That really had me wanting more.

Paging Dr. Hart by Dr. Melissa Dymond
Release date: June 17th
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5/5

Thank you @netgalley for the e-arc of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This book is a romance with a suspense subplot. This really kept me interested the entire time I was reading. I was questioning and trying to figure out what happened in Tiffany’s past. The relationship between Dr. Hart and Dr. Clark was so cute. Ethan (Dr. Clark) was so sweet about Tiffany’s (Dr. Hart) past and how she is dealing with it in the present.

I love how it was set in Ohio. I haven’t seen many books set in Ohio and that’s where I was raised so that was a super fun part of the book for me.

Dr. Chen was also an amazing addition. I loved his character and I found myself saying “aww” out loud with scenes including him.

Also, another AWESOME part of this book is there’s two versions. You can pick whichever one would make you feel more comfortable.
The two options are:
Clean, closed door: sweet and not spicy romance
Or
Spicy, open door: you get all the steaminess between Tiffany and Ethan.

To wrap my review up, I really enjoyed the story line in this book. The ending shocked me and I really hope there is a second book.

As an avid fan of thrillers, mysteries, and medical dramas like Grey’s Anatomy, I was eagerly anticipating diving into "Paging Dr. Hart" by Dr. Melissa Dymond. I had even planned the perfect photo for my ARC post. Sadly, my excitement turned into disappointment as I made my way through the book.

The narrative quickly became repetitive, with the main character constantly reiterating the same points about Vegas, her attraction to Ethan, and her conversations with her friend Melanie. This redundancy made it feel like I was reading the same content over and over again, albeit with slight variations in wording.

Moreover, the pacing of the suspenseful elements was off. The story had too many jump points packed closely together, which diluted the impact of the suspense. For a jump point to be effective, there needs to be a balance—a few chapters should pass to build tension and allow the reader to momentarily forget, only to be pulled back in again.

Character development was another area where the book fell short. The protagonist is referred to as an "ice queen" by others, yet her interactions were consistently kind and warm. This discrepancy between how she is described and how she acts highlights the need for the author to show rather than tell critical aspects of a character’s personality.

On a positive note, Dr. Dymond excels in writing the chapters set in the past. Her vivid descriptions of the scenery transported me back in time, making those moments come alive. I could almost smell the popcorn as the characters sat cuddling, fully immersed in their world.

Overall, while "Paging Dr. Hart" has its strengths in descriptive, nostalgic storytelling, the repetition, pacing issues, and inconsistent character portrayal left me wanting more from this medical romance with suspense.

I do have to state I stopped reading at Chapter 10, I am truly sorry but this book just was not for me.

Okay, this book was SO good and took me on a wild ride. This is a medical romance but is not the typical fluffy romcom you may be used to. Our main character, Dr. Tiffany Hart, is known to be the "Ice Queen" around the hospital. Her rough and troubled past keeps her from getting too close to others, that is until she meets the newest transfer, Dr. Ethan Clark.

The story goes back and forth between Tiffany in the present day and her childhood/teen years. The timeline was really well-written and easy to follow which I always appreciate. I loved that there was a great mix of fun and steamy romance as well as suspense and drama. And the ending had me absolutely shook (I need more of the story asap, please!).

"Paging Dr. Hart" by Dr. Melissa Dymond is an exhilarating blend of medical romance and suspense that kept me turning the pages late into the night. Dr. Tiffany Hart, known as the Ice Queen, hides a past filled with danger and betrayal behind her white coat. Enter Dr. Ethan Clark, the annoyingly charming new hire determined to melt her icy exterior.

Tiffany and Ethan’s chemistry is electric from the start. Tiffany, with her guarded heart, and Ethan, with his relentless pursuit, create a dynamic that’s both fiery and heartwarming. I loved how Ethan’s persistence and genuine care began to chip away at Tiffany’s defenses, revealing her vulnerabilities and strength.

The plot takes thrilling turns as Tiffany’s dark past catches up to them, leading to a nail-biting climax where they must fight for their lives. The forced proximity during their assignment at Ethan’s home hospital and the medical conference at Disney World adds layers to their relationship, making their bond even more believable and intense.

What really stood out for me was the depth of the characters. Tiffany’s struggle with her past and Ethan’s desire to step out of his family’s shadow added rich backstories that made their connection all the more meaningful. The blend of medical drama and suspense with a slow-burn romance was perfectly balanced, keeping me invested in both the plot and the characters’ journey.

"Paging Dr. Hart" is a must-read for fans of enemies-to-lovers, forced proximity, and slow-burn romances with a thrilling twist. It’s a swoon-worthy, page-turning novel that delivers on both passion and suspense. Highly recommended!

I loved this read! Ethan was completely swoonworthy. The way he loved and protected Tiffany was truly amazing. I loved how their relationship developed slowly overtime and wasn’t rushed into. Slow burns usually drive me crazy but this was execution perfectly. Being in the medical field I appreciate being able to understand some of the medical terminology and reading about a medical romance, I feel like I don’t see those as often. There were some unanswered questions at the end which makes me want more… Will there be a sequel?!? I want one! I could use more Tiffany and Ethan in my life! Thank you NetGalley and Victory Editing for the ARC in exchange for my honest review. Paging Dr. Hart will be released on June 17th

I did not expect to take to romance novels, but they are proving to be a refreshing change. I especially like those which have good characters and backstories, like this one does.

Tiffany is training to be a radiologist. In a presentation, she is corrected by a man in the audience. Dr Washburn, her boss, asks her to interview someone for a first-year radiology position. Tiffany, finds to her irritation that it is the same guy who questioned her in the presentation - Ethan Clark. He is from Cleveland, and his parents are doctors. Their professional interaction kicks off on the wrong foot. Ethan is very good looking, talkative and charming; and he finds Tiffany’s aloof attitude (a few refer to her as “ice queen” behind her back) to be fascinating. Tiffany receives some text and images from an unknown number alluding to her past, which she finds disturbing.

Tiffany has had a difficult childhood & teen years in Vegas. After a painful struggle, her mother passed away, and she has no close family left. A neighbour, Mr Chen, supported her. Shelly was a friend during that time and along with another man Rafe, they plan a scheme to make money which Tiffany regrets later.

I liked the backstories for both Tiffany and Ethan. The characters are well developed. The later part of the story is predictable and a couple of threads are quite needlessly left open.

This is a nice light read for the most part, which I enjoyed.

My rating: 4.25 / 5.
