I won’t lie, I did not think that I would end up liking this as much as I did.

Paging Dr. Hart follows Dr. Tiffany Hart as her collected life is spun off course by new-hire Dr. Ethan Clark. They both have their own ulterior motives and they settle in a very cautious dance around each other.

Reading the first 20%, I found the story slow and repetitive, but then the second timeline started picking up. This added SO MUCH to the story. Getting glimpses of Tiffany’s past was the perfect addition to the story, it added a level of complexity that was missing initially, and I was hooked.

It took me about twelve days to get to 20% and I read the rest in one night. Devoured. Learning about Tiffany’s childhood and all the events that led to her becoming a doctor was so interesting. Her history with Shelley and Rafe, her job on the strip, her relationship with Mr. Chen, and her interactions with Stewart were heartbreaking and thought-provoking. On the flip side, we got a heartwarming romance with Ethan, which was equally genuine and thorough. The two storylines blended effortlessly and I was very satisfied with the ending.

I didn’t hate this book but also didn’t love it. I did like reading the past and getting to know Tiffany and what happened to her but I felt like it was dragged out, and honestly the “bad” thing she did wasn’t even that bad or maybe I’m use to reading worse things. I really liked Tiffany and Ethan but felt like their relationship went fast and honestly sometimes that works in a book and sometimes it just doesn’t. All in all I’m glad I read it. It was a fast read and I did like the back story.

I absolutely loved this book OMG. The characters, the plot, Disney, medicine, the conflict, everything was superb. The Taylor Swift references were adorable as well. I loved that this book was not overly spicy & allowed the characters to really shine. Tiffany is someone I really wanted to get her happy ever after. Ethan is a total heartthrob & I know readers will love him. I cried, laughed, gasped, & made way too many notes. All in all, 5/5 will read again & recommend to friends!

I am reviewing the spicy version of Paging Dr. Hart, a romance novel with mostly closed-door intimate scenes. There is a sweet version of this novel without foul language that does not go beyond kissing. The story revolves around Dr. Tiffany Hart, the protagonist, who was burnt by love and friendship during her younger years. Due to the traumatic events, she has been unable to build and maintain healthy relationships throughout her adult life. Moreover, her past might even jeopardize her career as a doctor.

Tropes
-Touch her & Die
-Reverse grumpy sunshine
-Forced Proximity
-Secret past
-Slow burn
-Medical romance
-Enemies to lovers

When Dr. Ethan Clark, a new transfer, enters Tiffany's life, she is on the hook to train and supervise him. Initially, Tiffany finds Ethan an annoying hindrance to her and her goals, but over time and despite her best efforts, he grows on her.

As Tiffany gets to know Ethan, she realizes there is more to him than what meets the eye. However, after she takes a chance and opens up to him, a new obstacle arises. Her past comes back to haunt her, and she fears her past might drive Ethan away and leave her heartbroken despite the walls she has scaled to reach him.

I found the protagonist's emotions and mindset very relatable throughout the story. Despite life's disappointments and hardships, she was able to grow and find happiness. We have all gone through experiences we wish we could forget or change. What is important is how we learn from them and move forward. Tiffany had every reason to remain emotionally stunted, but with the help of those around her, she embraced change.

While I enjoyed the story, I felt a few areas might improve with a minor tweak. For instance, there were so many scenes from the past that it sometimes felt more prominent than the primary storyline. As a result, I found myself rooting for young Rafe instead of Ethan. Additionally, a few more intimate and meaningful dialogue scenes would have helped to develop the connection between the characters. While their attraction and interest in one another were evident, it was not as strong as it could have been.

Overall, Paging Dr. Hart is a delightful romance novel written by a kind and generous author who donates 10% of sales to cancer research. I look forward to reading more of her work in the future.

Review will be posted on Amazon once the book is released.

When I started this ARC I was expecting a lovey, easy going romance about some sexy doctors. Well, I got the sexy doctors but nothing about this book was easy going!
Tiffany’s POV jumping back and forth between the present and her child self was perfectly done and the story came together brilliantly when these two time lines collide. I’ve never read anything quite like this. On one hand it’s a romance, you have Ethan who’s sweet, smart, caring and just the best, and when your reading this POV it’s all butterflies and swinging your legs giggling like a school girl. THEN you jump back to Tiffany’s past and it’s tense, dramatic, heartbreaking and feels at times like you’ve been thrown into a thriller or crime novel! It really was the best of both worlds.
I felt like some of the character developments were maybe a bit far fetched, especially right at the end, however this was minor and didn’t really take away anything from the actual story. This book was totally gripping and had me finishing it in one day! I’d recommend it to anyone who loves a cheesy romance AND a bit of excitement and drama!

I loved this book. It had bits of all my favorite genres and it came together beautifully. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.

I read this book in one sitting. I love the dual timelines and how everything connects in the end. The character development is done well and the ending was thought provoking. I wish there was a sequel!

I think some parts, especially about her past, were very well done. I liked Tiffany, but Ethan was my favourite character. Still, the development of their relationship felt a little unrealistic and too fast to me. I also would have liked Tiffany to meet Shelly one last time to get closure with her. Unfortunately, some questions remain unanswered at the end.

Thank you so much to NetGalley for providing this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Paging Dr. Hart, by Dr. Meilssa Dymond, is a fun, sexy, medical field romance with characters you'll love and a few you'll love to hate. When Tiffany is young, she is infatuated with a very bad boy.  Later in life she meets a good man (and good-looking) who adores her and she loves him, but, her past haunts her. Will she work through it and live happily ever after?
Also, who's her father?  Will there be a sequel so we can find out?  Love these characters and would definitely be interested in more of their story...Thanks, NetGalley and the publisher, for providing me with the ARC ebook I read and reviewed. All opinions are my own.

I read the sweet version of this book coz I'm not very fond of smut, and it was graciously sent to me by the author. I like the concept of having two versions that suit different types of readers, and from the one I read, I don't think the book was lacking because of the lack of spicy scenes.

Being a medical romance written by a doctor, I was expecting way more medical references and scenes from the hospital, but there were many chapters that went back to a previous timeline. I knew there would be references from the past, but I never thought it would be a dual timeline. It felt like our MC Tiffany was too stuck in the past instead of focusing on the present. I totally get a character being reminded of previous events, but this had so many references I felt like I was reading Tiffany's memoir.

I will say that this was a quick read and I'm happy I didn't have to DNF it. I'm not a huge fan of this book, but from reviews of the spicy version I've come across, it might be just me.

I think the most important element to note is this is romance with SUSPENSE!! I loved that the author was able to take the story and adapt it into two versions: sweet and spicy. (I read and am reviewing the sweet version)

The way the story unfolds is perfect for character development. I love that as readers we get a glimpse (almost immediately) as to why she is the way she is. Her childhood is packed with hardships and loss and so it makes sense that she is closed off in ways. Ethan is brilliant and I just adored watching how he was there for her from the first time he met her.

One of my favorite parts:
"You know," he says, his smile fading into a serious look, "sometimes good people do bad things. I think the person you need forgiveness from the most isn't me. I think it's you. You need to forgive yourself."
His words make me cry even harder because he is right. All the self-loathing. All the blame I've carried. It's held me back from the life I want. A life full of love and acceptance.

If you are in the mood for a romance that isn't your typical romance, give this one a read.

2.5 stars rounded up.

I love books written from the perspective of doctors and med students, so I was thrilled to get this ARC.

Pros: The story did move along well; I was always eager to keep reading and didn’t feel like it dragged. I liked reading about the hospitals and Disney, despite their incorrect descriptions.

Cons: I spent the first half of the book wondering if the author is a real doctor and the second half wondering if she’s ever actually spoken to a human man.
Putting aside reality for the sake of the story, there was still a lot that really didn’t come together for me. Certain revelations seemed thrown in at the end just for the sake of wrapping up the story that didn’t really make sense where they were. (E.g., the random disclosure of something that happened *that night* that Rafe was randomly sitting on for 10+ years for some reason??)

The main character felt really one dimensional. There wasn’t really any sense of character evolution beyond “I am ice queen because I’m alone, now I’m happy because man owns me.”

The title doesn’t really make much sense since the majority of the story was about well before the main character became a doctor, and no one was really paging her when she was (lol.)

All this said, I would give a lukewarm recommendation to read, especially with a small amount of proceeds being donated to lung cancer research, and I will definitely be reading more of Dr. Dymond’s books in the future.

I quite enjoyed the book. It was interesting to read. I loved the blooming relationship between Tiffany and Ethan. But I'd wished to get a bit more from Ethan and to get to know him a bit better. But overall a quite good book.

ARC Review:

Paging Dr. Hart is a exciting medical romance by Dr. Melissa Dymond. This book follows Dr. Tiffany Hart who is deemed the "Ice Queen" by fellow colleagues. Dr. Hart is a third year resident who is highly dedicated to her work. She avoids getting close to anyone and is only focused on being a successful doctor. Enter Dr. Ethan Clark, a total golden retriever energy MMC. He is funny, witty, handsome and gets under Tiffany's skin from day one. Ethan and Tiffany do not start off on the right foot and Tiffany highly dislikes him. Her feelings begin to change as she is forced to work closely with Ethan. Got to love a forced proximity trope! Ethan is super supportive of Tiffany. I loved seeing their relationship progress from unlikely friends to lovers. Ethan and Tiffany are a dynamic duo and compliment each other really well.

The romance is so sweet in this book and Ethan had me swooning! Not only is the romance amazing but the suspense surrounding Tiffany's past was great. We get flashbacks into Tiffany's past and how it related to her present. It kept me hooked from the beginning. This book is very well written and will keep you hooked from chapter 1. The characters were very likeable and the plot was interesting. I highly recommend this book if you want a sweet workplace romance with a touch of suspense and mystery!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5/5

Paging Dr. Hart is a feel good romance with a bit of mystery and drama peppered throughout. A classic enemies to lovers story where Dr. Hart comes to terms with her past trauma facing the monsters that haunted her past. The author Dr. Melissa Dymond leaves a few loose ends that could potentially be turned into future novels. I loved reading this story and would be happy to follow Dr. Hart or her colleagues in future stories.

In this reverse grumpy-sunshine, forced proximity, medical rom-com we meet Dr Tiffany Heart, a radiology resident who is not a people person! She prefers the company of her cat to socializing on most days!
It comes as no surprise that she is very annoyed when she is forced to share her workspace with a new resident who has transferred in from a different hospital.
To make matters worse, Dr Ethan Clark  is very good looking, very charming and a very social person who seems determined to break down all of Tiffany's barriers!

But this is a rom-com with suspense -  so when Tiffany starts receiving mysterious texts she fears her past life may be catching up with her and realises that having someone like Ethan in her corner might not be the worst thing!

What I loved:-
I requested this book for the romance but it was the story about Tiffany's childhood that made this book such a good read for me!
Ethan and Tiffany are a cute couple - they tick all the right boxes and the story arc gives you exactly what you expect!
But Dr. Tiffany is a very different person from who she used to be growing up! The younger Tiffany could be found hanging around the LA strip with her best friend and mixing with a very wrong crowd!
The last few chapters are full of suspense and although it gives us a temporarily satisfactory solution , it also leaves a lot of open ends!
I hope there is another book where we get more of that story!

What I wished were better:- I wish Ethan was a little less perfect! Compared to Tiffany, he ended up being rather forgettable!

Contemporary romance dual timelines with some spice. If you don't enjoy open door scenes look for the author's book with "sweet" instead of "spicy" in the description. Great writing! I enjoyed these characters and their relationships. Tiny pet peeve - the main lead kept calling her Tiffy even though she kept asking him to stop. I'm definitely looking forward to reading more from this author.

This book by Dr. Melissa Dymond was fantastic! Through the use of dual timelines, Dymond gives readers an amazing female main character and her journey from child to medical doctor, and all of the tumultuous decisions and life occurrences that got her to where she is in the present. As readers we experience not only the decisions that are made but how they effect Tiffany as an adult, and also how she learns to overcome them. The main male character, Ethan, is the 10/10 love interest that every woman needs! Handsome? Check. Smart? Check. Kind and compassionate. Check. Check. Protective? HUGE check. I will be thinking about their story for the unforeseeable future.

Besides for the amazing characters, some of the concepts that I loved most about this book was the action and suspense. When I first picked up this book I thought that the suspense was going to be involved in the hospital/medical setting. I was looking forward to it... but no Dymond takes readers out of the hospital and places us in a thrilling and suspenseful dark scenario that had me on the edge of my seat. Unfortunately, I am left with a few unanswered questions. I am hoping and praying that there will be a follow up novel that will address some of these questions that I am desperate to find the answers for.

I do have to admit that my absolute FAVORITE part of this book, is not found in the setting, characters, or storyline. But is from the authors Trigger Warning page and book dedication. Before reading a single line of this story I was met with the authors kind, understanding, and amazingly thoughtful nature. From this line alone, “Your mental health is more important to me than book sales,” proves to me that the world needs more authors (and people in general) like Dr. Melissa Dymond.

I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to read and review this book as an ARC, and I look forward to what the author has coming in the future. Thank you Dr. Melissa Dymond and net galley!

Big thanks to Net Galley and Dr Melissa Dymond for approving me for this ARC!

I was pleasantly surprised by this book, I went into thinking this was going to be a work-place romance just based off the cover alone and wasn’t prepared for the level of depth this book had to offer. Short chapters made the story feel like it was moving quickly but not at a pace where I felt like I was missing layers of detail. It took me about 20% to really start getting into it, once I did, I finished the book in less than 4 hours.

I personally loved the time hopping and the way it was done in multiple chapters in a row. I was happy to have more layers to adult Tiffany and why her past was really detrimental to her adult life.

I was NOT expecting the mystery elements of her past (yes even with the title, I know). I feel like it could have gone a little darker for me, but I think I just love drama.

Also, Ethan 💕 I got golden retriever energy from him. I really did hate the nickname “Tiffy” every time he said it, I got annoyed. I wish there was a little more fire between them leading up to them getting together but overall it was cute once they did. Mild spice levels, I thought it was perfectly appropriate for the story and not overdone! I’ve also read the author is releasing a non-spice version which is cool, I know spice is not everyone’s favorite. (Mine though)

Side note as someone who visits Disney World weekly, Sleeping Beauty’s castle is in Disneyland not World.

Definitely worth a read when it comes out on June 17th!!
