Everyone needs to get their hands on this book! It is so well written! The story flows with ease between the present and the past. You get a sense of who Tiffany is when the past is visited and why it affects her present so much. It has some spicy scenes, but also some mystery--a past that comes back to haunt her. I absolutely could not put this book down once I started!
(I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own. Thank you Netgalley and Dr. Melissa Dymond.)
If you enjoy an co-worker to lovers relationship then this is for you! When Tiffany and Ethan begin working together, Tiffany isn't really taken by him, however after spending time together and letting her guard down a bit they start to become closer. I love their relationship, Ethan doesn't care about Tiffany's past and I love that! I really enjoyed how the story let us know about her past, it was sad reading what happened in her life but makes you realise why she's classed as "an ice queen". I highly recommend reading this book!
Thank you, NetGalley, Dr. Melissa Dymond, and Victory Editing for this ARC in exchange for an honest opinion.
One of my bookstagram friends posted a review of this book and it made me curious, so I had to request this book. I’m a huge fan of medical dramas like Grey’s Anatomy and The Resident and let me tell you, this book didn’t disappoint!
While the story started as an enemies-to-lovers romance, it soon became more than just that. The mystery subplot dealing with Tiffany’s past kept me up at night reading way longer than I probably should’ve, but it was worth it
I absolutely loved the slow burn and reverse grumpy-sunshine characters. Tiffany had a rough childhood and youth but fought for a better life and became a strong fmc, who had a great character development. She learned to open up instead of pushing people away and faced her past. Ethan is now officially added to my collection of book boyfriends– he was the perfect golden retriever character! He knew what he wanted and accepted Tiffany the way she was. He still had his own problems and doubts, which made him a relatable and likeable character. I really liked the small, tender moments between them when they shared a bed because of Tiffany’s nightmares or the way they kept looking at each other.
All in all, this is perfect for you, if you’re looking for a romance mixed with mystery. And there’re two versions of this book available (open and closed door), which I think is so thoughtful of Melissa. She’s also donating 10% of the proceeds of this book to lung cancer research. As someone who lost her grandmother to lung cancer, I think this is a great and important cause to support!
Tropes:
- reverse grumpy x sunshine
- forced proximity, troubled nightmares
- slow burn
- rivals to lovers
- dual timeline
- he falls first
Trigger warnings:
- death of a parent from lung cancer
- gun violence
- underage drinking
- theft

DR Tiffany Hart is a third year radiology resident but when she meets red-hot new hire Dr. Ethan Clark switching specialties from a different hospital she loses her cool. Through the book we see Ethan and Tiffany sent back to his home hospital and then to a medical conference at Disney World. Mixed into to all of this is a mystery subplot that will lead you guessing. Through the book we learn a lot about Tiffany's past.
The book was easy to read and kept me interested the whole entire time.
⭐️ 3.5 stars!
This is a medical romance story about overcoming your past and embracing your future.
When I read the plot twist, I got a little confused and while Melissa did execute it well, it still felt a little out of place in some chapters.
It felt almost like we got more of Tiffany’s backstory than we got a romance between her and Ethan and for this. This almost ruined the book for me because with both the cover and the synopsis of the book, it sounds more of a romance than thriller but what we got is the opposite.
Overall was an enjoyable book.
• reverse grumpy x sunshine
• forced proximity
• rivals to lovers
• dual POV’s
• dual timelines
Thank you Victory Editing NetGallery Co-op and Dr Melissa Dymond for the ARC.
Paging Dr Hart us a slow burn (almost) enemies to lovers medical romance. I truly love when a book surprises me, I thought I knew what I was getting into reading this book - but it totally surprised me!
The FMC Dr Tiffany Hart has built herself some serious walls to keep out the demons of her past, but when the golden retriever MMC enters her life - he makes it his business to start chipping away at them until they breakdown!
The romance is a slow burn, but once they have their moment - it's one for the ages!
I love the first person dual timeline in this book - seeing Tiffany's past play out alongside the current timeline is really interesting!
I love a medical drama, and having being written by a healthcare professional makes it even more realistic!
I really enjoyed this book!
Thank you to the author and NetGalley for this amazing ARC.
🔘Slow burn
🔘Medical romance
🔘Reverse grumpy sunshine
Dr. Tiffany Hart, a cautious woman haunted by her past, finds her walls unexpectedly broken down by the entrance of Dr. Ethan Clark into her life. He becomes someone she can rely on.
✨Thoughts✨
In the heart of this story, a romance gradually unfolds between Tiffany and Ethan. There is suspense laced with Tiffany's mysterious past, which adds intrigue to the narrative. Though Tiffany had built impenetrable walls around herself, somehow, I discovered a profound empathy for her inner struggle. I found myself genuinely rooting for her happiness.
On the other hand, we have our sunny MMC, Dr. Ethan Clark — he is the ideal book boyfriend. I proudly declare myself as the president of his fan club! He is completely charming. Ethan's warm and refreshing nature makes him incredibly endearing. It's refreshing to have a male character who breaks away from the cliché of being a wealthy individual with a questionable reputation. The author truly did a fantastic job in crafting these characters!
Overall, if you enjoy workplace romance set within a hospital backdrop, this book should undoubtedly be your first choice.
Thank you to the author and NetGalley for this amazing ARC.
SO CUTE! I absolutely loved this. So thankfully there was a steamy and not-so-steamy version. Personally, I had to read the steamy version. 5 stars for sure! Loved the suspense and romance together. I couldn't wait to find out the ending. Definitely a book I will have to buy a physical copy of.
Cute! Love the enemies to friends read.
I love the Las Vegas flash back references. Story line was very easy to follow. The characters were very easy to love. This a recommend to bookclub forsure.
I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this book - I could not put it down once I started it. From the plot to the characters to the writing to the dual timeline, all of it was perfectly executed. I always try to highlight both the good and less good parts in my reviews; but I seriously could not find anything I didn’t thoroughly enjoy this time.
Paging Dr. Hart is a slow burn, but it really manages to keep you on your toes the whole time. And when Tiffany and Ethan’s romance finally picks up, it gets really good really fast.
And the cherry on the cake for me? The fact that what I thought were accidental Taylor Swift song references, were intentional! I had highlighted “You’re on Your Own Kid” as soon as I saw it, so I was incredibly pleased to see the note at the end of the book.
I will definitely be recommending this book - Not to mention that 10% of all proceeds go to lung cancer research.
I received this ARC from Dr. Melissa Dymond, and I’m so grateful because this book was incredibly good.
This story is about Tiffany Hart, a radiology resident in a hospital in Ohio. She has had a very difficult life, and doesn’t really have friendships or any kind of relationships. But her life is about to change as she meets the wonderful Ethan Clark. He just transferred from a hospital in Cleveland to
start his residency in radiology. So she is assigned to help him get into the new job, and things start
getting very interesting. 😌
As we are seeing how their relationship evolves, we find out that Tiffany’s past is kind of mysterious, and it is coming back.
What to expect in this book:
-Reversed grumpy/sunshine relationship.
-Medical setting
-MMC with green flags
-Sassy FMC
-Perfect mystery vibes
-(Kind of) enemies to lovers
-Throwback scenes
-Disney scenes
I adored this book so much, it hooked me up from the first ten pages and I couldn’t put it down. The medical setting was so much fun to read, so if you like Grey’s Anatomy or Scrubs, you’ll love this book.
The throwback and present scenes have a perfect balance that kept the book very entertaining. The way of writing is so fresh, and at the same time, it felt like I had read
something by this author before and I love that feeling.
The mystery of it, differentiates the book from other romances because there is an added part of the story that gets your attention too.
I loved how both main characters have flaws but start growing up as they start getting to know each other. Ethan is so patient with Tiffany, and never pressures her to open up when she is not ready, but lets her know he isn’t going anywhere and he is there to support her. On the other
hand, we understand the way Tiffany acts because of all the hardships she has endured in her life. But we can see how, eventually, she realizes she can have a different one, full of love, friendship and happiness.
So, prepare yourself for JUNE 17th when it comes out and go buy it. (Check for Trigger Warnings)

Review below:
My thanks to NetGalley, Dr. Dymond, and Victory Editing for this ARC (publishing June 17, 2024).
This story was very different from what I was anticipating but such a lovely surprise.
Dr. Tiffany Hart shares her first person account as a dual timeline perspective unfolding on a crash course collision of past and present. Beginning with her current day work stressors and a not so meet cute, her past becomes more crystalline with each chapter to create a fully realized protagonist. The complications she faced in her life create wonderful points of tension and self discovery that allow for extremely compelling messages and moments of growth. And, on top of all that, there is an incredibly sweet romance with communication, respect, and growth *swoon*.
Full disclosure, this book caught my eye because I am a complete sucker for medical romance stories. I love that this book was written by an Osteopath, and I love the multimedia integration that the author, Dr. Dymond, included; from art to a Swiftie game to QR codes for bonus content, this book did a great job of being immersive beyond the typical confines of a novel.
I guess the only area of this book that felt like loose ends to me concerned the characters that weren’t at one point or another romantically tied to the main character; past crushes, fake dates, and of course her MMC counterpart were pretty well fleshed out and given realized character arcs. However, that same treatment wasn’t provided for Tiffany’s friendships. This treatment was confusing because one of those characters, beyond just the friendship the character and Tiffany had, was pretty significant.
I recommend this book if you are looking for a romance where the MMC is a simp out of the gates, and there are zero doubts about the trajectory of the relationship. I mostly recommend this book if you want some surprising character building that highlights other themes in the book perhaps more than the romance does. Or, if you are three weeks into Dedicated and medicine is rotting your brain and is seeping into your “for fun” reads (IYKYK…okay, maybe that’s just me). I do recommend this story though!
This book is set in both the past and present so we slowly figure out how Tiffany got to where she is throughout the book. This book did this really effectively and I was equally intrigued by both sections of the story. I really enjoyed the banter between the main characters and the plot was mostly really gripping. This book was great, with building suspense and tension, but I personally found the description of certain…scenes to be a little bit off-putting.
Though I did enjoy the ‘past’ chapters of the book, I felt the relationship between Tiffany and Rafe didn’t make sense and neither did Rafe’s motives at some points in the book. I also felt that there could have been some more character development for intriguing characters in the book such as Mr. Chen (my personal favorite) but also even the main character Ethan. There were some parts of the book which I knew were supposed to make me feel something for the character, but fell a bit short because of this.
This book also seemed to mention toes quite often. It wasn’t that much but enough for you to notice lol. Some of my favorite quotes are ‘the tip of his toes brush against mine and a strange zinging sensation runs up my leg’ and ‘I’m not sure which hurts worse, my toes or my heart’.
Besides that, I found this book really enjoyable and look forward for the sequel. My final thoughts are team Stewart lol.
Thank you NetGalley for this ARC!
Ethan and Tiffy’s slow burn romance also had a bit of mystery to it. Tiffany wanted to keep her past in the past but when Ethan joins her residency program, they’re forced into close proximity. The ending / epilogue left me wondering more (sincerely hope there’s a follow up book) with a big revelation at the end …
Ok, I admit, I'm biased, given that I'm a Radiologist, but I could not put this book down. Over the top fun, steamy, a bit of mystery. I'm going to be following this author for a long time I'm sure. A little bit of reverse grumpy sunshine, some instalove and a whole lot of entertaining character building and storyline.
Paging Dr Hart is a cute, suspense-romance, making for a great escapist read on a rainy day!
The suspense storyline added a lot more interest to the story than your typical romance. There was definitely the need to suspend your disbelief (and for a smart woman I found some of Tiffany’s decisions very frustrating!). But overall it was fun to be taken along for the ride.
The alternating timelines of Tiffany’s childhood in a gritty Las Vegas setting, and her life as a medical registrar felt very dissonant to start with, but wove together well as the story progressed. I enjoyed Tiffany and Ethan’s chemistry, particularly their trip to Cleveland. The section at the back describing the medical training process was super helpful in understanding Tiffany’s journey.
Most threads are well tied up by the end of the book, making for a satisfying ending. There is one thread remaining, making me very hopeful that we will see more of Tiffany and Ethan’s story.
Thank you Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op and NetGalley for a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed are my own.
I enjoyed how the book is written in short chapters, with a narrative that smoothly transitions between the present and past lives of Dr. Tiffany Hart. It's easy to follow, and the limited use of medical jargon makes it accessible. The storyline predominantly focuses on their lives outside the hospital, which I found particularly engaging.
The dual timeline follows Tiffany's childhood and her present life. Tiffany emerges as a survivor, and the chapters depicting her past are emotionally gripping. The character development throughout the book is commendable, offering insights into Tiffany's backstory and how her upbringing shaped her as an adult.
Ethan makes for a fantastic book boyfriend. He embodies the "he falls first and harder" trope perfectly. I appreciate that I also learned about Ethan's history with the hospital his family built, and how he works through his past.
Overall, I truly appreciated this captivating and emotional novel. Despite being a romance, the narrative doesn't shy away from heavier topics and conflicts. The main characters are portrayed with their share of flaws, making them more relatable.
I really loved this book! It’s a suspenseful romcom which was a fun twist on an old favorite! I loved the element of not knowing what was going to happen. Tiffany is really relatable and Ethan just warms your heart right up!! I loved them together and their exchanges and watching their relationship grow and change. The addition of an epilogue from an unexpected source had me LAUGHING!! I adored it! I’m ready for the sequel, please!
I loved the story! Redemption and romance. Evan was perfect!!! Glad he had the patience he did. I love happy endings!
Summary: In the present, Tiffany meets a cute new doctor who she doesn't get along with. In the past, Tiffany's childhood is full of hard times. Then the two timelines collide.
Vibes:
- Medical Romance
- One Office to One Apartment to One Bed
- Spice: 2 & there's a no spice option
It felt like I was getting two stories in one. The past was filled with heartache and suspense, while the future was filled with romance.
I also want to point out that this book comes in two different options: With Spice & Without Spice and I love that.
"𝘠𝘰𝘶'𝘳𝘦 𝘯𝘰 𝘪𝘤𝘦 𝘲𝘶𝘦𝘦𝘯. 𝘠𝘰𝘶'𝘳𝘦 𝘱𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘦."
Ethan was such a sweetheart paying attention to everything Tiffy did. For someone who has been alone and is used to people calling her an ice queen, I feel like it helped Tiffany open up.
"𝘐 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴, 𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘢𝘥. 𝘐 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘛𝘪𝘧𝘧𝘢𝘯𝘺'𝘴 𝘱𝘢𝘴𝘵, 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘵, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘧𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦. 𝘐'𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮 𝘢𝘭𝘭."
I'm not sure if Melissa knew what I was eating the other night, but I found it hilarious when I read "𝘉𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘪 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘥𝘴 𝘶𝘴 𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘯𝘶𝘵 𝘣𝘶𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘫𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘴𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘸𝘪𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘣𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘰𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦 𝘊𝘩𝘦𝘦𝘵𝘰𝘴" because that's exactly what I had since I was too tired to cook.
