“Paging Dr. Hart” is a suspenseful romance with a dual timeline narrative between Tiffany’s past growing up in Las Vegas and present day. Throughout the novel secrets from her past will threaten Tiffany as she finally starts to break down those walls she erected all those years ago when everything changed. Overcoming a past that she is ashamed of, Tiffany has closed herself off from much of the world as she protects herself from hurt and disappointment. While described by coworkers as an ice queen, I found Tiffany to be more self-reliant and determined without the ice. Tiffany’s internal conflict dominates the story and her character traits, which is understandable as it becomes clear through flashbacks where this angst has come from. I really enjoyed the suspense elements in this storyline.
Ethan is patient and gentle with Tiffany as he helps her open to possibilities even as he works through his own insecurities to come out from the shadow of his family’s legacy. Despite their flaws, Tiffany and Ethan are perfect for each other and I really enjoyed both characters.
This narrative begs the question: When do you tell the one you love about all the broken pieces of yourself and the parts of yourself you’re least proud of, embarrassed by, ashamed of? And once you have all of this information about your partner, what do you do with it and how do you respond?
Thank you to @melissadymondauthor @haylingbookstorm Author PA & PR Services and @netgalley for advance digital copies of this novel. Available in spicy and clean versions, pre-order today or pick up the ebook or physical book on June 17. As the ending of the novel brings up some new information, I suspect the author may be writing a sequel.

"You're no ice queen. You're pure fire, "
My review is up on all platforms! (YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, Threads, Amazon - Kindle and Goodreads)
This book has entrapped me in seconds. I finished it in one sitting and basically read it through the night (finished it at around 7 a.m. 🙃).
now, let's talk about the book itself. the storyline is told perfectly, the flashbacks are placed precisely, and add depth to the plot.
the plot is smooth and is written perfectly, I enjoyed every minute of reading this book.
the relationship between Tiffany and Ethan may be a slow burn, but it's not so slow that it makes you wanna scream at the book. I think their relationship is building up perfectly, level by level in a way that sucks you in and tells their story beautifully.
They slowly build a friendship that has something more lying underneath until it finally comes out and turns into a beautiful relationship.
Considering Tiffany's past and both Tiffany and Ethan's struggles during life, it's perfectly fitting for their love story.
Also, their banter is hilarious, I found myself laughing at their exchanges numerous times throughout the book.
Overall, I think this book is beautifully written, and I loved it!
Also, there are two times during the book where you can read chapters from a different pov.
Once in chapter 14 - you can scan a qr code to read it from Ethan's pov.
And there is a bonus epilogue from her cat's (Fred, which I'm sure is named after Fred Weasly from Harry Potter), pov which is so cute and funny!
Smut talking, the s*x scenes in this book are well placed. It doesn't feel forced, like a need to push in smut just for the hell of it, which I love! They're written well, with no weird genitals names that make you cringe while reading 😂
This book ends perfectly, a closed ending with a note that gives it great potential for a second book if the author ever decides on it, if she ever decides to write a second book to Ethan and Tiffany's story I would definitely read it.
Definitely a 5⭐️ read ❤️
Will be published everywhere on April 30th and on kindle when the book publishes (17/06/2024)
Paging Dr. Hart is a well written book, it also has a really great plot. However, this is insta attraction and unfortunately it isn’t my jam.
I also felt like the past chapters were told from an adult perspective, not a child’s. Otherwise, if you like/don’t mind insta attraction, definitely give it a go
If you love suspenseful medical dramas like Grey’s Anatomy and Chicago med, then this book is for you. It’s got suspense, tension, romance (and spice!), that will leave you wanting more.
Tiffany Hart is the ice queen radiology resident - and Ethan Clarke is her new nemesis and coworker. They immediately get off on the wrong foot, and it goes down hill from there. But when they are forced to work closely together, Tiffany begins to realise that she might not hate him as much as she thought…. this slow burn rivals to lovers is a fresh take on the medical romance genre, and really explores some quite deep trauma (so be sure to check the trigger warnings).
I really loved the character development over the course of the book, the backstory and context that made Tiffany the way she was, and how her upbringing shaped her as an adult. At times, I did find the flashbacks to be a bit challenging, mainly because the character ages didn’t match the internal monologue that was appearing in the novel - so even though the scene was from a five year old, it didn’t feel like it was being told by a five year old like it was intended. However, I think these flashbacks were really important to providing both context and resolutions for Tiffany’s misbeliefs about the world.
I really liked Ethan as a male lead, he came across really well on the page. His character was warm, we were invited to understand more about his motivations and he genuinely seemed to care about Tiffany, even through the smallest gestures. My only criticism is I HATED the nickname he gave her. I would’ve preferred Tiff, but I get it’s less interesting haha.
I think this was a lovely edition to the medical romance genre, the pacing was a great and I’m definitely curious to know if there are follow up books planned; because I want to know more…
Thank you to Melissa Dymond, NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an early access copy of this book to read and review!
Decent book with characters who have some pretty engrained trauma. Not for everyone as some trigger warnings. Loved the romance elements and the spicy parts :)
Thank you Netgalley and Dr. Melissa Dymond for this ARC.
This book is about a radiologist with a dark past that leaves her with nightmares. In comes the handsome resident Dr. Ethan Clark to rescue her💕
Love the romance in this book! Ethan is swoon-worthy, buying her vanilla coffee creamer and holding her after a nightmare 🥰
Also enjoyed the flashbacks to the past, shedding light into the main characters past and why she was so icy cold towards some people.
Really enjoyed this book☺️
Slow burn but worth it 💕

First of all, just wanted to say that Melissa is one of the sweetest human beings ever! Being on her street team is so fun, she's always showing us bts moments and telling us little tidbits from the book's creation/inspirations; and also and very important!!! on both of her books, 10% of the proceeds go to some cancer research! and ALSO she has two versions of the book, closed door and open door, so everyone can enjoy it! she's all that people!!
Now let's get to the actual book review part😂
Personally, I love me some medical workplace romance! I also have been getting more into the suspense romance genre lately and I am really enjoying it! And this book has both, so hit!😌
The dual timeline is always 50/50 for me, but this one worked out well, because it was necessary to the understanding of Tiffany's background and behavior. We follow her life from 5 years old, all the way to medical residency, through ups and downs, scary and happy moments. She has been hurt so many times, her walls are 10ft up around her heart and she doesn't let a single person in. Until Dr. Ethan Clark.
Ethan has been living in the shadows of his legend of doctors family and never feels like he's enough. He's determined to make things work in this new city and new residency program, without any distractions. Until Dr. Tiffany Hart.
They have a not so meet cute, and start the story with misconceptions about the other. As they are forced to spend a lot of time together because of a hospital program, they slowly become more amicable and start to actually become friends.
The plot and suspense aspect of the story are really good and kept me on my toes the whole time, as we slowly start to put the pieces together and understand the bigger picture!
It's so delightful to witness Ethan as a man obsessed! The man will do anything for his Tiff, even when she doesn't know how to let him in. He's the absolute sweetest man ever! Just a little insecure because of past experiences, trying to be enough. He's not once even fazed by Tiffany's demeanor and he's there for her at every single moment! He's the 'falls first and harder' blueprint!
So many sweet, endearing, spicy, funny, suspenseful, and deep moments! I really enjoyed every thing about it!
Thank you so so so much @haylingbookstorm and @melissadymondauthor for the ARC!!💜
I 1000% recommend you read this book when it comes out June 17th!
You can also preorder now!!
Thawing Dr. Hart’s heart
Paging Dr. Hart’ is a compelling contemporary romance novel with a dash of suspense set in a medical context. The narrative easily kept me hooked from the start by switching back and forth between the present, where the main characters work closely together as radiology residents, and events in Tiffany’s mysterious past.
Although the ‘people pleaser’ Ethan falls fast and hard for the grumpy ‘ice queen’ Tiffany, this is decidedly a slow burn romance. Due to the trauma of her past, rather than the fact that she initially sees him as a rival, Tiffany has so many protective walls up that Ethan has to tread carefully to get past them. But as she slowly opens up and their mutual attraction draws them closer, the past finally catches up and jeopardizes everything.
On a side note, I was surprised that you had to sign up for the author’s newsletter while reading the book to access Ethan’s revealing bonus POV of chapter 14.
I truly appreciated this captivating and emotional novel, and moreover, the fact that, even though it is a romance, the narrative didn’t shy away from heavier topics and conflicts, and that the main characters had their share of flaws to work through which made them more relatable.
While Ethan and Tiffany got their HEA, I unfortunately felt like some of the mystery plot lines remained unresolved. Or maybe it wasn’t a HEA but a happy for now and we’re getting a sequel?
If you, like me, enjoyed the author’s first novel ‘Holiday Star’, you’ll be pleased with this one too. 3.5⭐️
Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for providing an ARC.
I've been patiently waiting for Paging Dr. Hart ever since I read the author's debut novel, Holiday Star, last year. Holiday Star is actually the book that made me consider myself to be a reader so it holds a special place in my heart.
Paging Dr. Hart is a suspense & romance novel and is available in two versions - Spicy OR Sweet. I think it's wonderful that the author offers both versions so that readers can select the book they'd like to read. I read the Spicy version. This is a slow burn romance with ALL the swoon!
Tiffany and Ethan are officially one of my favorite book couples. Tiffany is a confident and reserved person, some coworkers even call her The Ice Queen. Ethan is also a confident person, but he's also charismatic and charming. He slowly breaks down Tiffany's barriers by showing up and being there for her no matter how much she tries to push him away.
This book takes you on a journey through Tiffany's mysterious past, as well as physical journeys to different places including Cleveland, Las Vegas and The Most Magical Place on Earth - Walt Disney World.
As a big Disney connoisseur, I cannot even begin to describe how much joy I felt when they experience the parks together. I definitely felt the MAGIC. When I learned that Disney would be woven into the storyline I had assumed that it would just be a couple pages and written as a high overview. But the parks came to life with each page I turned! ALL. THE. SWOON.
I loved the side characters, especially Mr. Chen. Mr. Chen helped care for Tiffany as she was growing up and partly the reason why she wanted to become a doctor. This might sound funny but as someone that is Asian American I totally laughed out loud at the part where Mr. Chen makes her take off her shoes and leave them by the doorway when she goes into his apartment for the first time... It's funny because it's so true, my household also has dedicated slippers/shoes for indoors!
A couple favorite quotes:
He says softly, "You're no ice queen. You're pure fire."
I'm so happy that I might shatter and, if I did, pure joyful sunlight would surely come streaming out of all my broken cracks. That's how Ethan makes me feel.
Many thanks to Dr. Melissa Dymond and NetGalley for giving me an opportunity to read and review this book. I can't wait for this to go live in June so I can order a physical copy, I NEED it for my collection!
I was really excited to read a romance book written by a physician! As someone in medicine, I geeked out at and related to so many of the things Tiffany went through in her career.

I thought Ethan was perfect for Tiffany and was so patient with her. He really broke down her metaphorical walls. He falls first and harder and truly loved all of her. He wasn't afraid to fight for her metaphorically and physically! And after what Tiffany has gone through in her past, she deserves someone like Ethan by her side. There were a couple spicy scenes, and when they appeared after a slooow burn, I was like finally!
I recommend this book! It's the perfect combination of romance and mystery/suspense.
Thank you to NetGalley and Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op for the ARC!
First off, I went into this one thinking it was going to be a super spicy, enemies to lovers, close quarters romance. It... sorta.... was?? To me, this would like a one level spice, slow burn. The story was good and entertaining, but it almost felt like the author was super new and didn't go into too much depth and it felt like a lot of the suspense fell flat. I felt waiting for it to get super juicy, but it was barely R rated. Those notes aside, it was a quick cute read for me. Felt me entertained and I did like the main male character a lot. I would have loved to have a chapter or two from his point of view.
I gave this novel a 3.5 star rating. I think this book would be best for someone about 18-22 which is not me. Some of the themes and the main female character's decision making just felt a little too young for me. The ending felt a bit surprising at moments, but I don’t think it was necessarily bad! Just a little different than I anticipated.
Special thanks to NetGalley and Victory Editing for this advanced copy of this medical romance and suspense for my honest thoughts and reviews.

First and FOREMOST thank you very very much for allowing me to read and review this book. This is my first ARC read and it’s made me excited for all of my other ones 🥹
I don’t even know where to begin! The book follows Dr. Hart who is a goody-two shoes and is notoriously called the “Ice Queen” by her other peers due to her seemingly hard exterior but with her past, no one can really blame her for being standoffish. She gets stuck with Dr. Ethan Clark, a “legacy” doctor who’s semi-cocky but wants nothing more than to get to know our tortured redhead 😭
Ya’ll idk what I thought was gonna come out of Tiffany’s past, but I promise you, THAT WASN’T IT 😂 This book kept me guessing and kept me hooked! She deserves better, she worked for everything that she has and for someone like Ethan to just barrel his way in, like yeah, I get why she was territorial. But our wonderful MMC was so patient and wanted nothing but to hold her (lol) and care about her.
If you want spicy scenes, a strong FMC with a mystery past and a golden retriever boyfriend, this one is for you. I thought this book was done but that ending???? Girl I really hope you already wrote the next one bc I need to know more about Dr. Hart! 😂🤭
Thank you to Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op for the ARC of Paging Dr. Hart in exchange for an honest and independent review.
Dr. Tiffany Hart is well on her way to paving her own path and completing her radiology residency. Plagued by a life of loss and limited support, she's had to bury her past in order to be successful in her present. Tiffany quickly finds out that keeping the past hidden is easier said than done. Tiffany's delicate balance between past and present threatens to unravel itself just as annoyingly handsome Dr. Ethan Clark intervenes his way into her life as the newest radiology resident on her team. Tiffany has been begrudgingly assigned as Ethan's trainer and babysitter. Having gotten off on a bad foot form day one, Tiffany and Ethan work to build on their working relationship over the coming weeks through a series of challenges, such as building up the residency program at Ethan's old Cleveland hospital where they find themselves away from home, living together in a small apartment, allowing a level of comfortability to settle between the two of them. Sparks begin to fly, but neither are willing to commit to their feelings, leaving things unsettled at the end of their trip.
Things begin to pick up pace when both Tiffany and Ethan embark to Disney for a radiology conference. Tiffany's past finally catches up to her and she's forced to come clean to Ethan if she stands any chance of saving what's left of the shards of their relationship. Are they both willing to fight for the future they could have or are they going to let their past overwhelm them?
I loved the mystery/thriller spin on what would have otherwise been a very mainstream healthcare romance novel. I enjoyed that both characters were flawed and it made them more relatable in the end. This is definitely a slow burn romance, which again makes things all that more believable. The ending almost has me wondering if there could be a follow-up novel to this? I do have to point out, one thing I absolutely LOVED about this novel is that Melissa Dymond is a self professed HUGE Swiftie. Therefore, she's hidden 10 song lyrics or titles throughout the book, which I actually did pick up on a few initially thinking it was just coincidence. However, she has a blurb at the end stating that it was in fact intentional, and if you can find all 10, you can e-mail her to win a prize! How stinking epic and adorable is that? Most certainly something Taylor would do herself when/if she sits down to right her own epic love story/saga (a girl can dream right?). I highly suggest you mark your calendars for June 17th . You're going to want to get your hands on this one!
What a brilliant book!! The book follows two doctors, Tiffany and Ethan, as they navigate both their professional and personal relationship. We follow them on their work across country, with close proximity and slow burn romance playing a huge role in this book. I loved the Tiffany both at the start and at the end of this book - she’s fiercely determined and strong willed, wanting to succeed in her job as she’s always dreamed. I am glad Ethan encouraged her to open her mind to other options though!
I loved the combination of flashbacks and present day. I feel the way they were integrated and written really tied the storyline together but didn’t feel like we were jumping all over the place which is great.
The medical terminology was well written and pitched at the right level for readers. It was explained well but not in too much depth where I felt i was reading a medical journal.
I would personally have liked a little more delving into the texts Tiffany was receiving. I feel they were brushed aside but were actually a much bigger part of the story and could’ve been explored.
The miscommunication between the two main characters is also something which often puts me off books! But because it didn’t cause too much drama between T and E, I got over it.
Overall, a brilliantly written book and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. Thank you too Melissa Dymond for the ARC of this book.

This book is a LOT.
Tiffany’s backstory is so perfectly written that her trauma and current fears seem so realistic, my heart sank for her with every flashback.
Ethan is such an amazing MMC (with a filthy fckn mouth, HELLO) I didn’t find him to be overbearing or intense, he was just perfect.
I really liked this book, but there are a few dark themes covered so be mindful of that.

“It's okay for you to miss me, Tiffy. If you were gone, l'd miss you, too."
“I like my coffee how I like my women, hot and strong.”
“You're so fucking beautiful. I can't stand it.”
“I'm jealous of the moonlight, to kiss him everywhere at once as it does.”
My RATING: 4,5 stars <3
It's a medical romance about two residents in a hospital - Ethan, who is a golden boy in medicine and Tiffany, an 'ice queen'. They both left their old lives behind and are trying to start something new... But can they be so sure about it? What if the past won't let them go so easily?
I enjoyed this whole story. Reverse grumpy x sunshine was never my thing but i really liked it here.
I also haven't read any medical romances I think, but maybe i should!
I loved that the parts about Tiffanys past were mixed with current time/plot and wasn't revealed all at once. It got me hooked and i was looking forward for another bits and scraps of her childhood and solution to my concerns about her nightmares.
What made me sad was the betrayal - i hope it wouldn't happen but it did. I know it was for the plot but it wasn't that believable to me. I don't know why but it wasn't.
I look forward to read more of this author!

Oh wow! Talk about suspense!
Each page had me turning to uncover more about Tiffany!
This was such a fun read! Watching Ethan crumble all of Tiffany’s walls was amazing, getting the flashbacks from her life as a teenager really helped give us some insight into why she is how she is!
Also I love that they went to Disney! Slightly jealous because I want to go!
It was amazing to see Tiffany get the closure (forgiving herself) and moving on, and though the diamonds were an interesting development, I’m mostly left wondering what happened between Tiffany and Stewart!
Ethan and Tiffany are amazing and I’m so glad they got their HEA!
So grateful to be gifted an ARC from NetGalley!
This book was a romance that made you fall in love with the characters before they fell in love with each other. Told in dual timelines, you see Tiffany's life play out in the past and in the present.
In the present, she has to contend with her new colleague and decided rival, Ethan. While at first, she finds him annoying and arrogant, her cold heart eventually begins to melt. Things really ramp up when her past comes knocking at the door. Will Tiffany and Ethan make it through together?
Admittedly, this one is a bit of a slow burn, which isn't generally my thing. But I actually enjoyed watching things unfold between the two love interests. From their snarky banter to their tender moments, these two are a couple you'll be rooting for.
This book will be released on June 17, 2024, and it is well
This book is unexpected! If you’re looking for a cliché, stereotypical, cookie cutter romance, this is not that book.
Things that were unexpected:
First, the reverse grumpy sunshine was even more of a reverse than I could’ve anticipated. I’m used to feeling a kinship with the female main character right away and having to build affection for the man in her life. Instead, I fell in love with Ethan right away but had to slowly build affection for Tiffany in order to feel that she deserved him and that they were the perfect couple. It was a strange feeling considering the reader is in her thoughts but does not hear his POV.
Second, I did not expect so much action and suspense to be packed in the second half of this book.
Third, the medical terminology and hospital food of the beginning did not prepare me for the pleasant settings the reader was taken to. I have two words: Disney and Vegas.
Fourth, the conflicts are more than internal. When I read the blurb, I knew there was drama from her past that would come back around to mess with their relationship but I thought it would just be emotional drama. I thought wrong.
Fifth, Tiffany’s backstory turned out to be more than I bargained for. Her flashbacks are interesting and filled with great storytelling. It wasn’t just a quick synopsis of what happened to her younger self but another story inside the story. At times, I was more drawn to her younger character and the plot of that timeline than the original story.
This book is a slow burn, and I was impatient at first but when things got good, they got good!
Bonuses included:
Two (sweet and spicy) versions available
No 3rd act breakup

I was blown away by this book! Both characters are extremely likeable (I would even go so far as to say Ethan is now my new book boyfriend!). This rom-com was charming and entertaining with believable characters. Although many of the romance tropes are present (one bed, "good girl", a nickname, etc), the book is much more than that and the storyline goes deeper than I was expecting. There was also an opportunity to view the scene from another character's POV by signing up to the author's newsletter, which is something that was new to me but that I enjoyed. The teaser at the end now has me excited for the sequel!
