Paging Dr. Hart by @melissadymondauthor is more than just your average rom com and one you should definitely check out!
This cute medical romance with suspense book is a great light read with all the romance tropes and silly moments of a great rom com blended with some interesting doctor drama. Dymond clearly has a medical background which makes the descriptions and situations feel very real and accurate. The characters, especially the FMC, are well developed and interesting, even down to the supervising doctor who is a little quirky and very sniffly. I also really liked Tiffany's backstory and how growing up in Vegas with a single mom made her who she is today. There were also lots of fun additions to the book like a list of songs to listen to that are related to the characters, some clear and straightforward content warnings and a glossary to help readers. Beyond that, there are bonus chapters from other characters perspectives and even other versions that are sweet vs spicy. Overall I think this author gets what romance readers in 2024 want and she is delivering it!
This book is out now so go grab a copy! Thanks to @Netgalley and the author for giving me the chance to read and review this one!

I was pleasantly surprised when I read this; mostly because I did not expect the suspense aspect of it. Even though the story is pretty predictable (not particularly a negative thing when it comes to romance), Tiffany's backstory, however, was very unexpected and added another layer to the story, which I really liked.

Obviously, I don't have such a tragic background as Tiffany (the fmc), but I still related hard to the feeling of being left alone and being too afraid to trust people again. Her development and breakthrough were very well written and emotional. Ethan (the mmc) with his patience was perfect for Tiffany.

Thanks to Netgalley and Victory Editing for the e-book and Dr. Melissa Dymond for writing it 😊

- medical + workplace romance
- dual timeline
- one bed
- reverse grumpy x sunshine
- he falls first
- secret past

Dymond's sophomore novel was just as well paced and lovely as her first! I loved reading it and getting to know these characters. Definitely add this one to your list!

I knew I was going to love this book from page 1: Columbus, OH - my city. As a healthcare worker, it was so easy for me to relate to Tiffany. I loved getting to know Tiffany through her past and what led her to the medical field.

Ethan quickly became my second favorite character with his charming smile. When he shows up in Tiffany’s life she doesn’t know what to think of him at first… and she finds herself thinking about that smile of his.

You’ll love this book if you love RomComs and shows like Grey’s Anatomy!

I loved this book from start to finish. The chapters are short and the writing is simple and flowing. The suspense that exists from the beginning of the book continues to the end. The story of the protagonist's present and past alternates, gradually revealing more things that will then come together.
My favourite character? Absolutely Tiffany, she shows how much tenacity she can have by tackling obstacles that come her way from an early age.

I loved the dual timeline. It kept we engaged and enthralled. This was certainly a slow burn but the way Tiffany and Ethan snuck up on you was amazing. Ethan’s patience with Tiffany and her walls and he snuck up on her was so good. The suspenseful aspect to the book was the cherry on top!

Thank you Dr. Melissa Dymond and Netgally for the ARC

Before I begin, I would like to thank Dr. Melissa Dymond for allowing me to read a Net Galley ARC of her newly released book, Paging Dr. Hart, which is available on Amazon starting June 16th, 2024.
Dr. Tiffany Hart is used to people telling her that she is an ice queen because she keeps others distant due to her traumatic past. Dr. Ethan Clark is charming and comes from a family of infamous doctors, but he wants to do what he wants with his life instead of following people’s expectations. When they are sent to the hospital that Ethan used to work at followed by a medical conference, romance starts to spark and Tiffany’s past catches up to her. Can she and Ethan fight the people in Tiffany’s past or will they lose their lives?

This was a great book. You have Tiffany, who has had a difficult childhood and is ambitious and truly cares about her work. You have Ethan, who is doing his best to defy people’s expectations and cares for Tiffany very much. The banter between Tiffany and Clark was wonderful, and I enjoyed their character growth throughout the story. The flashbacks to Tiffany’s past made me want to give her a hug and were full of suspense. The romance was sweet and spicy, and the suspense was there until the very end. The suspense and the characters were well written. Overall, if you like suspense, great banter, and sweet and spicy medical romance.

4 Stars!

The first thing I loved about this this book was that Ethan was a green flag. It feels like more often we see mega red flags in characters, but Ethan on the other hand is a stud. The slow burn romance felt in the book had me on the edge of my seat wanting to read more. I was not expecting much with this book, but wow was I surprised. As a nurse, the cover was an instant turn off, but to my surprise I was suggesting it to others.

Paging Dr. Hart is a novel by Dr. Melissa Dymond and is on the topic of romance and science. But, as the title may suggest, this is no ordinary romantic novel. This novel is clever in the way that it incorporates great storytelling with facts and figures. As and avid reader, I found this quite interesting and began to read page by page. Here are my points:
- The book has a slow beginning.
Although brining us a lot of promise and characters that we hope to see later on in the book, the action and climax have no specific build up.
- It is quite predictable.
Although many elements of the book are interesting, and make you want to look them up online, the drama and plot twists are nothing that we haven't seen before, meaning that the novel is a pretty regular one that doesn't shock the reader.
Apart from these points, there are a lot of things that I would personally like to also point out that is great about this particular novel:
- It is fascinating.
Although there is a pretty normal plot, the back story of the young life of the narrator is unexpected and is truly up to any avid book reader's standards. There is chance to see many more characters in her childhood and you get to experience her whole life with her. It is a truly gracious element that Dr. Dymond should be proud of.
- There is drama.
Although previously described as predictable, there are some elements to some of the characters that are interesting and will make the reader latch onto their backstory and want more. It is a good technique to have and some characters are truly lovable and can be relatable to a select few.
This book not only shows you how one doctor falls in love with the other, but also shows you different aspects of the workplace, and how people can come from different backgrounds and be treated equally in the workplace, which is a really strong message.
I there fore believe that this book holds a lot of promise, but can also point out some errors with spelling and punctuation. Apart from those factors, I believe that this book is written with a passion and is well accomplished. Well done.

This is my first time reading a romance with mystery. I was kind of fooled by the pretty cover, didn't expect the darker side even though it's a mystery. I am not new to a medical romance, the mystery element definitely was a new spin to the normal romance genre.
I was intrigued by the mystery element, the romance was also good. I liked the pair and their interactions. Ethan is a cinnamon roll guy to the ice queen Tiffany.
Overall it was a fine read, I liked how the romance and mystery elements were interlaced through the dual timelines. There are some loose ends, I hope it will get resolved in upcoming books.
It said enemies to lovers, I was totally digging into their rivalry in the first few pages but it soon fizzled out and they became closer soon. We don't get much of their banter. I think some elements could have been flushed out a bit more, ending felt a bit forced.
It surprised me with the fight scene, Rafe's character arc was unexpected too.
I liked it overall plot wise, but I couldn't get into their connection or spend time rooting for them to be a couple.

Paging Dr Hart by Dr. Melissa Dymond 🫶🏻
4.5/5 ⭐

🌹 Enemies-to-lovers 🌹
🌹 Dual PoV 🌹
🌹 He falls first 🌹
🌹 Grumpy X Sunshine 🌹

Imagine this ... Greys Anatomy as a book. Can you see it? Well. This is exactly what Paging Dr Hart is. A workplace romance with our FMC's (Tiffany) childhood trauma and pain being portrayed through a dual timeline. She screams Meredith Grey!

There's pain, love, hate, anger and so much more. This book will make you feel nearly every emotion known to mankind. It was absolutely breathtaking. I had the pleasure of reading Holiday Star, which was my first read from Dymond, and that's what made me want to read Paging Dr Hart. Melissa is a fantastic writer and phenomenal story teller.

If you want cute and cosy with a bit of pain and suffering along the way, and even a little bit of spice - then this is the book for you.

A huge thank you to Netgalley, Victory Editing and Dr. Melissa Dymond for allowing me to read this ARC in return for my honest opinion.

Paging Dr. Hart felt like Grey’s Anatomy in book format in the most perfect kind of way! This book had all of my favorite tropes- enemies to lovers, dual POV, dual timeline, he falls first, reverse grumpy sunshine- the list goes on & on! I can’t wait for everyone else to have the opportunity to read this one.
Thank you NetGalley & Victory Editing for an ARC copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I enjoyed this story! Tiffany's past was revealed through a split timeline. The dual timeline made it simple to grasp her childhood pain and struggles. Ethan was everything she needed and the ideal match for her. They made an excellent team and worked well together. I loved the suspense as well.

Two doctors. A rough start. A little forced proximity. Some drama from the past coming back to do some haunting. Dual timeline.
What I liked:
- two likeable main characters trying their best to overcome their own baggage.
- sweet, easy read with a little spice
- small cast of side characters to move the story along, create drama and provide support
- a little mystery/suspense

3.5 stars, rounded up to 4.

Paging Dr. Hart is a workplace coworkers (with a hint’o’rivals) to lovers romance. It’s told from Tiffany’s POV but the story jumps between Tiffany’s past and present.
This book had me kicking my feet at all the tender moments and spicy banter. And, I will always love that it is a he fell first situation! Ethan is such a green flag.
I’m not sure which scenes I was most excited reading. Scenes with sweet romance, or when more of Tiffany’s darker past is revealed, or where Ethan just stairs at Tiffy with some kind of intense gaze. It was such a great read start to finish! I absolute believe if Tiffany and Ethan were really people they would live long happy lives together.

Fun fact, my significant other is currently in their medical residency so I had them read the book with me and they said “it feels like hearing the inside scoop on my coworkers dating lives.”

I absolutely cannot wait to read more of the interconnected novels in this series as they come out!

Review has been posted on good reads as well as Amazon.

Absolutely loved this book. Enemies-to-lovers story.

Dr. Tiffany Hart, a radiologist, worked very hard to get where she is today. Her mom raised her by herself in Las Vegas and they were poor. She didn't have a normal childhood because her mom got sick with cancer when she was 16 years old and Tiffany did things to help pay the bills. Those things still affect daily with nightmares every night. She was betrayed by someone close to her. Ever since her mom died at 17 years old, she shut herself off from being hurt again. At the hospital, she's known as the "Ice Queen."

When a new doctor, Ethan Clark, transfers into the radiology program from a hospital in Cleveland, OH. He's charming, handsome, and everyone likes him; except Tiffany. When she's assigned to be his teacher she's angry. He's too arrogant, claiming that he knows what he's doing, when he really doesn't. Tiffany is immune to his charm, she's been down that road before and it ended badly.

Ethan comes from a family of doctors, he wanted to get away from Cleveland and come to Columbus to study Radiology because he wanted something that was his. But the minute he laid eyes on Tiffany, he was hooked. Slowly he chipped away at her walls, hoping she'd let down her guard and let him in.

When Ethan and Tiffany are sent to Ethan's old hospital to setup a radiology program, they lived together for a month in an apartment on campus. Tiffany realizes that it's the first time she's felt safe. Even though she wakes him up every night with her nightmares, he never complained. When they go back to Columbus a week later, they both attend a medical conference in a hotel in Disney World where Tiffany is giving a presentation. But when someone from Tiffany's past happens to be at the park the same time she is, she panics. She knows that she will see him again. And she does.

Will Ethan ever look at her the same way when he finds out her past? Will he dump her?

A must read!

*Thank you NetGalley for allowing me this ARC.

“Paging Dr Hart” by Melissa Dymond was a sweet mystery romance. What I liked about this book, was the different writing style of adding a mystery to Tiffany’s background story. I alway enjoy the duel reading of following two story lines. However, Melissa you left us with a cliffhanger…. Will there be a second book?? I wouldn't mind reading more about Tiffany and Ethan. :)
I enjoyed reading and getting to know the characters throughout the story. Melissa’s detailed information and description helped visualize the scene in my mind.

Thank you NetGally, Victory Editing, and Melissa Dymond for an eARC copy of Paging Dr. Hart.
