A really neat book about flying. Great for any elementary library or little pilot wants to be. Enjoyable pictures with just the right amount of information.

Like all DK Smithsonian encyclopedias, this has a wealth of information (in this case, on the history of flight and cutting edge flight technology) coupled with attractive photos and illustrations. The text is broken up into easily digestible chunks and the formatting and placement of the text both keeps the eye moving around the page and keeps the readers interest. My kiddo (10) absolutely adores these books and devours them regularly. This one is going on the Christmas list for sure.

Eyewitness Flight brings an update to the beloved DK books for years. The book takes readers back in time to early flight trials. Readers learn about parts inside and outside of the plane and the tools that make them work. The book includes information at the end about how to learn more about flight.
