Get comfortable, and grab the Kleenex. This book gets you right in the feels. Phillipa Nefri Clark has done a beautiful job with The House at Angel's Beach.

I didn’t realise this book was part of a series until after I’d finished it but it doesn’t matter at all if you’ve not read the previous stories. It was perfect as a stand alone book.
I found the story really intriguing. The quest to uncover some of the past and reveal hidden memories. The characters were interesting and felt real. The pacing was good and kept me engaged throughout. The ending was nice and satisfying.

This is an interesting story. Had my suspicions early on but there was a lot more to the tale. Love, lies, memories, and more will keep one intrigued. No need to have read either of the previous ones in this series. The location seemed to me to be the only connection. Thanks to the publisher for providing a copy via NetGalley. Sisters Ivy and Jody haven’t seen each other since a falling out a few years ago, but now they are in the same house, one they’ve both inherited a share of.
When they discover a break in they have no way of knowing what the thief was looking for, but the answers must lie in the past. As they look into what happened before they were born they find they have more questions than answers. A good engaging read.

After 10 years, Ivy has returned to Rivers End. Her sister Jody has begged her to return from her nursing position in England. Both sisters have inherited a third interest in the majestic property, Fairview House. For ten years their father has been in prison for a crime that has not only affected the sisters but many others in the small community of Rivers End. Ivy fled back to England broken and disappointed and left behind her sister and also the man she loved.

Fairview House was once a thriving community of writers and artists and while the sisters join to decide the future of the property, Ivy discovers a collection of heartfelt letters hidden in their father's library. The contents of the anonymous letters cause Ivy to have flashbacks to the terrible night the accident tore her family apart and to question the mystery surrounding them. The sisters decide the time has come to uncover the truth and it may lead them to a secret within their family history.

This is the third book in the Temple River series. I have loved the previous two stories and this one does not disappoint. Thank you Phillipa Nefri Clark for an interesting family mystery and thank you NetGalley for an early reading of a book I have been waiting for.

This book was not what I was expecting. Although there is a beach, this is much more than a beach book. Two sisters have returned to their childhood home that has been empty for over ten years after their father was arrested. Coming home to decide what to do with the house and land opens old wounds that were never really closed. There is no doubt that the sisters, Ivy and Jody have problems, but it’s not until they find a packet of letters do they realize what they believed happened about their father may not have been true at all. There is a deep connection with the characters, the story moves at a good pace and the ending is quite satisfying, even if the intervening years that got them to this point were not.

Although this part of a series, it works well as a standalone book. Sisters, Ivy and Jody have come together to sort out their father’s house, which they have a third share in. Hanging over all this is a car accident that happened ten years ago which ended with their father being jailed. Lots of twists and turns later, as letters are found and memories are jolted, the true story of the accident emerges. The ripple effect of that night affected the sisters and other people as well. An intriguing story that held my attention. Thanks to NetGalley and Storm Publishing for an advance copy to review.
